There used to be some very kind middle aged ladies who worked here, who actually offered to help you, who spoke to you and made polite conversation--even offered to hold my baby while I looked at cards instead of juggling the myriad of bags, bottles, etc.. in my hands. The last 4-5 times I've been in this year, the staff is made up of 1-3 younger girls, possibly graduated from high school with the customer service training of a flea. I can buy Hallmark cards at Walgreens. If you're in need of helium-filled balloons, Factory Card Outlet is the place to go--just make sure that you plan ahead. Mylar and regular balloons to celebrate every occasion--birthdays, graduations, new baby, get well--can be pre-ordered and picked up on the day they are needed. I highly recommend this option, because every time I've walked in at the last minute for balloons I've been told there is at least a forty-five minute wait.
