What a fun annual events for all ages!…read more There is free parking in the nearby lot if you get their early or you can park in the neighborhoods and walk into the park. There is also paid parking ($13) that you have to pre-pay online. Follow the signs for "PRE-PAY" and scan the QR code with the person at the gate. Paying for parking was the way to go, it was a short walk into the event when some of my family members had to park far into the neighborhoods. There are some chicken themed vendors and a few chicken dishes can be found at the food trucks. We witnessed a chicken call contest on stage where the person with the best chicken cluck got a gift card for $25! There seemed to be some chicken themed activities for the kids as well. Country music and hay bales as seats. 2 Beer/Wine gardens to ease you from the heat. I bought a load of jalapeno cheese bread from the cutest bakery vendor. We brought our camp chairs and set up under the shade to hear the music and check out the vendors. Beer tickets were $7 and there was a pretty good variety. Fun time!

First time attending the festival, my 2 year old granddaughter and I went and had a blast. We walked around the different vendors, received some free items including a cool chicken hat, little chicken squish toys which she loved, and we learned a few things from the vendors. Had a Mango sorbert and Pink Lemonade from one of the food trucks that was the best I have ever had. Yum! Prices were good for the large size of the items. Parking wasn't too bad, we found some at a nearby business who offered their lot to festival patrons and didn't have to walk to far. There was lots of security walking around the festival, which made you feel safe. My granddaughter had so much fun coloring on the Kids Color Board, bouncing in the bounce houses and playing the mini carnival games. We will definitely will be back next year.

I happened to see this advertised on Groupon and figured I'd check it out. It was normally about…read more$15 a ticket plus fees but I snagged a deal off of Groupon so it was pretty much free. Pro-tip: be sure to park further away as ANY event at the fairgrounds will cost you $10 and in CASH ONLY. In addition to the cover charge, you have to buy $5 vouchers which get you sample sized items from all vendors that were put on. It is somewhat of a glorified food truck event. There were only a few places that weren't food trucks. I didn't really like the voucher system as not all vendors accepted them for things like desserts. I ended up having to trade my voucher back for cash toward the end. It would just be easier to hand the vendors cash for all the items, but apparently the vendors only get like $3 out of the $5 paid for the vouchers. I guess the cover charge isn't enough for the event hosts? It's basically just like any other food festival but overpriced if you're paying for the cover charge and parking. It's not a huge event. You come, try a few things and leave or look at some of the little shops.

Some of the food was better than others, but this was there first one. I expect this festival to grow into an even better experience with more time. The parking and alcohol were expensive and I discussed this with the owner, who noted the city was in charge of alcohol and parking, not them. I was pleased to learn they would be using a different venue for the next one to bring down parking and alcohol costs. I will definitely be going back.

If you go early enough there are plenty of spaces for street parking. There weren't too many people there. I think this is more of an event for the locals. There were plenty of strawberry based foods that included tamales, pizza, salsa, beer, etc., but none of them really appealed to me. I ordered the chicken teriyaki- $6. It was quite big and flavorful. This was probably one of the most popular items there since it had the longest line. I also ordered the strawberry puppies (hushpuppies) for the sake of getting something strawberry related- $2. It was ok but I don't understand why the Hershey's chocolate sauce that was used to dip the strawberry puppies into was so watery. Of course they also sold plain old strawberries. They were some of the best strawberries I ever had. My friend even bought a box of them.

Wish they did have a to-do container though to put these in. Plenty of vendors and contests. I do wish they would have more strawberry based vendors. They did have a lot of cool vendors like honey and BBQ sauce vendors. The variety of organic seasonings and tea was pretty awesome. Though pricey at $5 for 2oz spices and $7 for 2 oz teas. We used an Entertainment coupon, so we only paid $10 for admission. Otherwise, it would have been $20. I definitely would not pay full price for this event. We were in and out in an hour. There isn't THAT much to see warranting the price. Plenty of these are far cheaper or free to attend. I can understand the state and county fair for $10-12 each, but not the Berry Fest. There's more festivities geared towards kids, which a lot of us childless people don't utilize. Plus it costs money for parking as well. ($5 according to another review) We always park further and walk. So I am minusing a star for the entrance and parking fees. Prices are also not all that clear on the site. I had to hunt around and only found the pre-order fee of $9 and it's $10 at the entrance.

We started by grabbing my wife an Apple Crisp Oatmilk Latte at Fig Tree Coffee. The owners were super friendly. After exploring the food vendors, we settled on Cousins Maine Lobster. Our little one loved the tots and dancing in Daddy's arms to that Bruno Mars cover band Uptown Funk. Next we visited the car show, where we were greeted by a bunch of amazingly well-kept classics. My favorite is still the Wild Bill Tattoo van that spewed flames from the exhaust. Lastly, we went back down the street and got to know some of the vendors. The gals at Delivery Day Bag gave our son 3 pairs of baby socks for free. Coming out to Downtown Roseville was a breath of fresh air from what we normally do. I especially love to support local businesses and events like this are a great opportunity to do just that. We'll be back for more!

I think we've been coming here for about seven years, mainly because hubby comes for the car show. My original review was under the name Johnny Five Productions. They've been the master mind who's put this event together for many years. It's an event held every Tuesday from late May til the end of August. Vernon Street is blocked off for cars, food trucks and vendors, wide array of your typical street vendors, kiddie section and live bands that put on a free performance. If you don't like eating from food vendors, you can always get a decent meal at one of many restaurants that are on Vernon Street. From the Monk's Cellar, The Place, Nela's Mexican, and Vernon Street Grill. It's a great place to hang out with friends and family. We usually come to hang out with the car club but enjoy all that this event has to offer.

My mom has a picture of me from 1971 or so marching as a cub-scout in the parade. Back then it was your standard local parade and carnival ride affair - but in the past couple decades it has morphed into a combined 5 mile/5k Sun Run, kiddie carnival, food fair, toilet bowl race, street car show, things like celebrity look-a-like contests and bicycle air-shows, and a frog jumping contest. The toilet bowl race is hysterical and pretty out-of-control. You can bring your own frog or use one of their's in the frog jumping contest. The kiddie rides have a nice selection of home-spun and carnival type stuff - pretty good bang for the buck. The footrace is large and well organized - with plenty of swag for the runners. There is something for everyone in this family-oriented local festival. Check the Fair Oaks Chamber of Commerce Calendar when next May rolls around.
