I was charged $30 for each session. Prior to the third session we received a call from the office saying that we owed $185.62 for the first 2 sessions and promptly charged my card they required to be put on file. I'm not half as upset about insurance not covering the sessions unless a copay is met, it's the appearance of deception from this office. If there truly was a mistake made, then a good business would make a point to resolve and/or compensate in some way. However, this office chose to quickly charge my card and blame the insurance company. Does not seem like actions of a reputable business. It's unfortunate too because we were enjoying our sessions with our counselor.

I asked the gentleman on the other end if he was sure and he said yes. After 3 sessions my card was charged for $316 without contacting me or sending a receipt (still hasn't receive one as yet). I tried calling the office to query and it's 3 weeks this has happened and no one answers my call. I left voicemails and no one returns the call either. I haven't been able to continue my sessions Since I can't get on to them to schedule an appointment. The therapist was really nice but the administration arm is very deceiving. This type of practice is unacceptable and utterly disgusting.

In March 2025, i found a hidden camera in my apartment complex RISE48 in Pheonix Arizona and then proceeded to have a failed suicide attempt. Throughout the next year I was a victim of Project Monarch, and received many death threats and was gangstalked for over a year in person. Online very many people participated in my Project Monarch -- severely mentally incapacitating me. I checked into this facility to receive treatment for the accompanying alcoholism that followed. My time at the facility was nothing more than their attempt to further Monarch me and attempt to 'split' me. Several other residents referred to me as a man throughout my stay. Further DID behaviors were directed my way every single day I was at the facility by residents and staff. The residents intentionally tried to get under my skin every single day, all day long. Ending in theft from my roommate prior to my walkout. Having stolen something of my own, I found amongst her own belongings. Every single resident in this facility perpetuated my PROJECT MONARCH including bullying, slights, and themes meant to intentionally unravel me. Themes of my monarching were present amongst alomst every single resident at the facility. Four of the other residents referred to me as a man / he / him while I was at the facility. I am a young woman, 28 years old. Project Monarch. One resident called me a BEAST and referenced BEAUTY AND THE BEAST as she did claiming, the case worker LINDSEY had mentioned it prior. They set me up to fail (purple bag bag'd) every single day and prior to my first step in the facility. They set me up to fail no matter what I did or did not do. 0/5 stars.

Her style is non- threatening- very inviting - she provides a great Neutral platform She uses the Gottman Method - Google it - this method truly spoke to us, as my husband & I had used several other counselors with no great improvement and frankly a waste of time & money. If you searching for some answers & need clarity - Kathleen Anderson would be a great place to start ! I wish we would of found her sooner ! But beyond grateful when searching for a couselor that was certified in the Gottman Method in Jacksonville, Fl - her name came up as one of thee only ones practicing & using the Gottman Method. My husband & I still have a lot of hard work to do & a long way to go. But we are beyond happy we have Kathleen to aid & guide us to on this life journey road

This doctor had great reviews so I was looking forward to my sessions with her. I called the office…read moreand she answered the phone. After going through my personal information, insurance, the reason I needed to see her, setting up the appointment date and time, etc. she asked if I had ever been to a counselor before. I said yes, once before many many years ago. Based on the fact that I only saw that counselor once because the crisis I was experiencing had been resolved, she immediately says that she cannot see me because she needs patients that will stay on for at least a couple of months to work through their issues and not just take the 6 sessions provided by my employer's EAP. I said I wasn't sure if I was only going to do the 6 sessions or if I needed more, I was open to her input and work through what was needed, I tried to explain that my previous counseling experience happened this was when I was 21, 15 years ago!, but she wouldn't hear it, she cut me off and said that based on my history I would be better served with a different provider. I found that to be extremely rude, uncaring and unprofessional. She made her the decision right then and there that I was not a patient worth having. Perhaps this is to my benefit, I can't imagine that someone who just treated me in that manner can be a great counselor. What a disappointment! Not sure how the therapist came to the conclusion that I was not "willing" to receive help. Seems to me this was purely financially motivated on her part!!!!

I have been a patient at Pacifica Care for approximately 2.5 years and gave considerable thought…read morebefore deciding to submit this review. Over the past several months, I read a significant number of negative reviews from other patients describing experiences similar to my own, which ultimately reinforced my decision to document my experience publicly. During the period in which Dr. Shah served as my treating physician, the care I received was consistently professional, attentive, and patient-centered. Dr. Shah demonstrated genuine concern for his patients and worked diligently to ensure appropriate and effective treatment. Unfortunately, following his retirement, the quality and continuity of care declined significantly. My initial appointment after Dr. Shah's departure was with the practice owner, a psychiatrist. While the appointment itself was professional and informative and helped clarify several aspects of my mental health treatment, subsequent care became increasingly problematic. Prescription refills were not submitted as required, which led to repeated attempts on my part--approximately 10 to 15 phone calls--to obtain assistance. When a response was finally provided, I was informed via the receptionist that I was taking "too many controlled medications," despite having been on the same treatment regimen for several years under the practice's direct supervision. She told me she was running the office with Dr's Shah's license which was suspicious. I was also informed that there was a concern involving my pain management physician related to my prescribed pain medication. This issue was explicitly discussed during my most recent appointment with the psychiatrist, at which time she stated that it was not a concern and that there were no issues regarding my pain management care. She even provided guidance suggesting I discuss possible medication adjustments with my pain management physician to improve pain control. She gave me a "homework" with the medication I was taking and suggestions to discuss with the pain management physician to increase some medication to help with the pain. Subsequently, however, I was told that this same matter constituted a problem, directly contradicting what had been communicated during that appointment. No effort was made to discuss alternative treatment options, coordinate care with my other medical providers, or clarify these inconsistencies. Instead, I was informed--indirectly through office staff--that I would be discharged from Pacifica Care and advised to seek care with another mental health provider. The psychiatrist did not communicate this decision to me directly, choosing instead to relay messages through the receptionist. At the time these events occurred, I was undergoing a cancer diagnosis and had a surgical procedure scheduled. This critical medical information was communicated to the practice; however, it appeared to have no impact on the urgency, coordination, or compassion of the care provided. The lack of acknowledgment or accommodation during such a vulnerable period was deeply concerning. Overall, my experience reflected a lack of emphasis on patient care continuity. The practice also appears to experience a high rate of provider turnover, which limits the ability of clinicians to develop a comprehensive understanding of a patient's medical and mental health history. At this time, I am actively seeking alternative care and evaluating appropriate channels through which to formally report what I believe to be serious deficiencies in professional conduct, patient safety, and ethical standards. Mental health care requires consistency, accountability, and clinical responsibility. Based on my experience, Pacifica Care failed to meet these fundamental obligations and advised that my care would not be continued. She didn't even follow the "Proper Termination": The doctor is typically required to provide written notice (often via certified mail) and continue to provide emergency care for a transition period, usually 30 days. This allows you time to find a new provider.

I paid out of pocket upon my first visit and the bills have been continuously coming. First I was told my insurance wasn't in their network. Now I am being told it was based on my deductible. Additionally, the therapy sessions themselves were not helpful. The therapist seemed primarily focused on watching the clock rather than engaging in meaningful conversation or offering thoughtful guidance or insight. I left sessions feeling unheard and unsupported rather than helped. I would have been better off chatting with a stranger. I would not recommend.
