This is a nice restaurant, just very small. We waited in the car until the table was ready because their was no where to wait on the inside. The perk was we got to put our name on the waitlist before we arrived to the restaurant, so that was excellent and it cut down our wait time. The food was good. The Spiked Nutella Iced Latte was excellent! I love the warm beignet on the side. We also had the Peach Cobbler Pancakes and the Banana Foster French Toast. The French toast was great. No overly sweet, and the banana foster sauce was so good. The peach cobbler pancakes was nasty. The peach compote was tart and bland... and the pancakes didn't have a great taste. Visited this place for the first time today. For a Sunday morning it wasn't too busy and service was fairly quick. This place did not disappoint! I had the blueberry lemon goat cheese pancakes & they were fantastic! The goat cheese complimented the blueberry very nicely, although I would recommend maybe a bit more lemon. The person I went with had the cinnamon roll fresh toast which was equally delicious. Will definitely be back. read more

I wish I could give it a zero! We had the worst experience at a restaurant in a very long time. We used the Nowait app and came in at the recommended time. We checked in and waited for another 35 minutes. The whole time we watched a 2 top unoccupied. We finally asked how much longer and the host took us to that 2 top that had been vacant since we got there. When asked why, the host just looked at us blankly. When asking the manager, he used the excuse that he had a couple of workers call in sick. Huh? We left not wanting to give this place our business and will never be back. read more

I guess I should have checked the YELP reviews before I stopped in for breakfast. I wanted eggs benedict and thought (like many others) that a place with "egg" in the title would know how to do it. WRONG ... the eggs were not poached. They were hardboiled. Apparently, my server must have known they were severely overcooked because she was standing right next to me checking as I cut into them. Apparently, based on YELP reviews I read after my visit, this is a recurring problem that's going to be "discussed with the management team". My server got me properly poached replacement eggs quickly but still .... My server also gave me an half order of their beignets. Those totally made up for the eggs being hardboiled initially. Will I be back? Probably but not anytime soon, nor will I become a regular. read more

I honestly hate to give the rating of two stars, but today's visit was very disappointing. The menu has recently changed & after an hour wait, I was bummed to learn my usual choice was no longer on the menu. In fact, the menu has been quite reduced and I struggled to find something I would eat. The waitress was very dismissive of my disappointment. Instead of her trying to offer suggestions for me, she simply walked away. Another issue I had with her was I felt like we were being rushed to get out of there. We'd just received our food & she brings out our check, but my friend wanted to add some oj to his order, so she had to redo the order. From the time I placed my order until my food arrived was 45 minutes, they were not extremely busy, but Restaraunt was full with no one waiting to be seated. I honestly wasn't overly impressed. The servers were very nice and friendly. The food was just meh. Lots of different omelettes to chose from but I chose to build my own. It was ok. Nothing to write home about. Other than the food, the atmosphere was friendly and the restaurant is very clean. Other people who have gone have waited a long time to be seated because it's so popular. It's not someplace I would wait in line for. My family and I was visiting Memphis for a sporting event. While in town we search the internet for great breakfast spots and Another Broken egg cafe came up. So we read the reviews and Everyone loved the place, so we decided to go for breakfast. So as we arrived we saw people waiting outside we waited about 30 mins to be seated but it was well worth the wait. The only bad thing we read from the reviews was the wait, but I wouldn't feel right if I complained about the wait. I found out that they don't have many locations so that explains the wait time, it's a very high demand for this place so maybe in the future they will open more locations. From the time we walked in the cafe the hosts was very friendly and professional, she sat us with a smile on her face and the server was right behind her with a smile as well and very professional as well. But food was amazing!!! Everything was fresh and hot, I will definitely return to Another Broken Egg Cafe! Also I would highly recommend this place to anyone. If it was possible to leave no stars, it would be the best option for our experience. Upon entering the greeter did no such thing, she took a glance and looked the other way. We stood in the door way waiting to be greeted and seated and finally another greeter came with a very impolite hello and lead us to our table. I've visited several times prior & had a pleasant experience. Today was absolutely disappointing. My server was very inattentive and brought my food out cold. I waited & waited for her to return to the patio after taking my order, to refresh my coffee &'when she did it was barely warm. They weren't busy at all and the wait time to receive a simple order was long. I noticed the guest sitting next to me also had to return her grits because they were not hot. The kitchen manger did bring out replacement food and he was quite courteous & apologetic. But my server's lack of concern or apology was quite agitating. I wouldn't know how the food taste, Because of the visible favoritism that was shown right in front of myself and my children! Marshall the waiter seemed to probably have been a great person, and seemed to have a great personality! So shortly after being seated, I knew that the seating was going to be a issue! Not because I wasn't satisfied but it appeared to be a inconvenience seating area, We were seated across from the patio doors which wasn't a problem although it's 50° out, It was kind of chilly but again no complaints. However there were customers waiting to be seated that stood in the small walkway between the waiting booth and our table, which made it even more uncomfortable because Everytime a server walked passed it was a constant bump into the back of me, So after ordering drinks and waiting 30min and sitting in a uncomfortable table location, No food served! I asked Jenni/ or Jennifer if we can move over one table that became available while waiting to be served, She replied, That particular table was going to be reserved for a party of 8, Ok, no problem, Not even 5 MINUTES a couple of t 2 that was waiting for another couple of 2 to join them were seated there?? Now I don't use the racist card EVERRRR that's why i said favoritism and not race. Their assigned seating table was on the patio, and they refused to sit on the patio so they asked why can't they sit at the opened table that I had literally just asked about, The receptionist literally broke her neck to make them as convenient as possible. Mind you this table was not reserved for them and they were a party of 4 NOT 8!! The lady that I asked about the table clearly saw my frustration and began whispering to the other servers. Not once did she inform the couple that the table was reserved, Not once did she try to accommodate our inconvenience, but when a couple of another race comes in and complain about having patio seats!!! Oh no problem we'll bend the rules, WHILE I'M STILL GETTING BUMPED EVERYTIME SOMEONE WALKS BEHIND ME, And Im about to spend $80 on a meal that Never made it to my table, I politely asked a staff member how much my drinks were because I'm taking my business elsewhere, She goes up to the same lady that i spoke with about moving, which I'm guessing was a manager of some sort, After the young lady speak with her, She then walks up asking did i not want to wait for our food, Lol really it's not the wait, and she knew it so the small glass of orange juice, Small coffee and a glass of water was waived at no charge which I clearly walked up to the front desk to pay for because of the BS I'd just seen and experienced! Parking was easy, seated right at the time of our reservation , and our waitress Lia was perfect! everything came to the table quick and fresh. I was hoping this cafe would live up to the hype that preceded my visit. Sadly it did not. This cafe is tucked away in Memphis and is quite unassuming. The space itself is pretty inviting and there is a side porch for covered outside dining. There is a bar that people can sit at too. I didn't examine the bar closely but it did look like they served hard alcoholic beverages. My issue is not with the waitstaff in any way. In fact, I'm willing to bet that our waiter saved us from having a worse dining experience. She was very helpful and cheerful as well. If you do come here, be sure to order the strawberry champagne sparkler. It is absolutely delicious with champagne and strawberry flavored vodka. So refreshing. It's 6.99 but you get a lot to drink. I personally feel like I could have cooked a more flavorful breakfast (and a cheaper one too!). I tried to order the Chicken and Waffles, but was steered away from it by our waiter. (Said it wasn't very good, chicken wise) I opted for the waffle with eggs and bacon. I like my eggs scrambled and they came out cooked perfectly but lacked flavor. The bacon was good (I mean, it's bacon) and the waffle was what you could expect from a waffle. All in all it was a very basic breakfast that lacked any pizzazz and costed me 24 dollars. I honestly could have gotten the same breakfast 3 times over (and with more flavor) from the IHOP down the street. If you want a good hearty breakfast that has that "Memphis flair" I'd go to Bryant's. If this place is suggested again, I will be sure to mention we go to a different place and this place will not be in my top recommendations for places to get a good breakfast in Memphis. I'll give it a month or two to maybe get a little better before I return to decide anything major but for now, it's just another broken egg :( read more

After walking in at 9:45am and the host letting us know it will be 30min or less we sat patiently outside till we received a text. Problem is we never received a text so we decided to go check on the status since it had now been 35min. Our host said she remembered us giving her our name and phone number but did not know why we were not on the list. She sat us down at a table in the corner where people had just left so their plates and cups were on the table still. We are now 45min in. Our server comes takes our drink orders and quickly comes back to ask us for our food order (which we were ready since we had been waiting for 45min now). After placing our food orders at around 10:20-10:30 we honestly thought after our bad service thus far we would get our food a bit quicker. We didn't outset anything crazy. An omlet and my gf a pancake with bacon. It is now 12:10 and still no food. Total time from walking in the door till now without food is 2hrs 30 min almost. Ridiculous service. Love the place but to be ignored in the corner and not even asked if we need a refill or anything is just pathetic. read more

I was really excited about this place because breakfast is my favorite...it was a total let down. I had tried to go here once before but sorry I am not waiting an hour outside to get a seat. So, finally had to go wait in line because it was someones birthday and they got to pick. It took about 45 minutes to get a table again you have to wait outside the place is incredibly small...luckily it was a cool morning. I hated the seating; you are packed in right no top of each other. The waiter seemed stress...really don't blame him there. We ordered the biscuit beignets they were ok the sauce they came with kind of gross did not like it. I ordered the Bacquezo (Ba-Key-Zo!) omelet the eggs were fluffy but the chorizo sausage was horrible had to eat around it...I can not describe what it tasted like again just gross frozen meat. You can get a much better breakfast at any local Mexican restaurant or waffle house. Just pass on this place it is a pricey chain with crappy food this will be a magnet for the older Germantown crowd who need to pay a ton to eat breakfast. read more

Great food, our server (Marshall) was great and the portions are a decent size. The main reason I gave it four stars instead of five was the person acting as hostess. We had called ahead (and made sure we called the correct location) to check on the wait and there was none at the time but they went ahead and took our name for call ahead seating. When we arrived they didn't have our name down and we were informed rather rudely by the hostess that they only do "call ahead" online and never by phone. Ok. No problem. BUT I know what we were told over the phone and I expressed that. She informed me that things change and there was now a wait and since she didn't have our name we would go to the bottom of the list. That being said there was only about a 5 minutes wait which lets face it isn't really a wait at all. My complaint is how we were treated. Even after I approached her as we were leaving to tell her I didn't want to cause an issue on arrival and that they might want to make sure everyone knows how their no wait service works she never smiled, never batted an eye. She just said that Sundays can get pretty crazy and that I was ok. I just dropped $60 on breakfast and you can't even say "our mistake" or "I'm sorry for the confusion"?! I'm not saying they were totally to blame on the misunderstanding. But as a business owner myself I know that while the customer isn't necessarily always right it is my job as the proprietor to make them feel I have put my best effort forth to give them the best service possible. read more

One thing that any successful restaurant has to have is "great quality consistent food" & ABE Cafe Memphis takes 1st place in this category among many more things. Hands down the best food! Great service, beautiful decor, priced very reasonable for the artistic food presentations, & there is nothing in Memphis that compares with breakfast/brunch/lunch dining. Overpriced and extremely mediocre. I don't mind paying more if the price matches the quality of the food but this was not the case. The coffee was bad, the bread for the sandwiches seemed store bought and cheap and the potatoes were bland. I got the fried green tomato sandwich and was disappointed in that as well. The greens were wilted, the tomatoes were soaked in grease and it was flavorless. The menu items were really interesting but the quality and flavor profiles didn't seem to satisfy. I had been there about 4 or 5 times...Always busy, but great service...mostly to go orders which are taken at the bar...the last time I went was the exception...usually to go orders are directed towards the bar..a young lady, a hostess, was very rude, and came and told the people at the bar to get up because they needed the seats..like I said very rude..myself and 2 other ladies were directed to the end of the bar where we were in the way and constantly about to be hit by the waiters coming out of the kitchen..a safety hazard..I love the food but I will not be going back to the Park location again... read more

This was our first visit here. We tried to go before but the line was out the door. Although, next time we will definitely wait, it's definitely worth the wait!! Today we only waited 15 minutes and then we got seated. The waitress was very nice and very patient. We asked a lot of questions because the menu had many options and everything looked delicious. We finally decided on the steak and eggs for my husband, the Southwest scramble for me, and the Mardi Gras pancakes for my daughter. We were even able to add one scrambled egg for the baby. We asked for the steak medium rare and it came out medium rare and it was perfectly seasoned. My scramble was served w tortillas, Guac and salsa. Everything was delicious! Will definitely come back. I'm looking forward to trying the salmon on a bagel and having my own steak and eggs. Oh, I forgot, I got a giant cinnamon roll with the cream cheese frosting, and it was delicious!
