HOWEVER- I arrived at the final walkthrough at the scheduled time, and they were still not done clearing out their supplies. This was okay and I assumed more work would be done. When I returned to my home later that day I was appalled. There was brown liquid spilled on the cabinets and floors, paint spilled on the floors, stairs & countertops, outlet covers missing (still not found), painter's tape still stuck to the walls & baseboards, and sunflower seeds littered across EVERY single floor in the house (including the in the carpet and the bathtub). I am shocked at the way the house was left and how sloppy this was. This was not the condition that it was supposed to be left in. I had a showing the next morning so had to spend over 3 hours cleaning it. I contacted the manager about it and received a $275 discount. They did offer to come back over and "take care of these items" but I had no time to let them come back so I had to take care of it myself. For how much I paid to for this to be done I expected way more from this company. I will not be using this company again.

Jim from All About Bathrooms got back to me promptly and set up a FaceTime consultation to take a look at our situation. His assessment lined up with the other companies that we had take a look. His quote process was straightforward and we used All About Bathrooms to demo and rebuild our bathrooms (the issues the previous owners left us required a full rebuild of the showers). His team was professional, punctual, and got the job done well. Our project was complicated and had more than a few challenges but they handled them all. In a time when you hear stories about people being left in the lurch during rennovation projects it was great to have Jim and his team taking care of us. He was actually able to start work earlier than expected, which is not something you often hear about contractors. The end results look beautiful and more importantly are now done right, so we don't have to worry about passing on a problem to the next owners whenever we move away. Our master suite bathroom was a typical 5 pieces - large garden tub, small shower, toilet and double sinks. We've been in the house for 10+ years and have used the tub twice - both times was to wash the dogs. It was time for a new bathroom. I called 3 places for bids and one of them was All About Bathrooms. Based on Jim's suggestion we removed the tub all together in favor of a large walk-in shower. The entire process with Jim and crew was painless. We are extremely happy with our new bath room. Our next projects are the remodel of the guest bathroom and the kitchen cabinets replacements which we will call on Jim again. We felt like it probably wasn't enough money for them to bother with at a 1000 bucks so we decided to go elsewhere. There were plenty of people sitting at the front desk as we walked out. We did get the attention of one person that just stared at us but didn't even say a word. We went there a couple years ago and had the same experience and that time we gave 10k to a competitor. We tried them 2 years ago and spent 8k on carpet. Terrible customer service. They seem to be so big that they don't care if you buy anything or not. I can honestly say we will never go back. Seems to be a typical corporate thing. Take your money to another company who values you as a customer.

I initially had a great experience with Jaime Langer and genuinely believe she has strong design…read moreskills. However, my overall experience with her ended in deep disappointment and frustration. If you choose to work with her, do not let her refer you to Hummingbird HRD (Crystal and Brian Mansanares), as that is where everything unraveled. Jaime first helped me after a Christmas morning plumbing disaster, and at the outset, she was fantastic--quick to respond, knowledgeable, and actively engaged in creating thoughtful layouts. Because things seemed to be going well, we also hired her for additional design work in our kitchen and living room. But when she referred us to Hummingbird as the general contractor, she stepped away entirely, leaving us in the hands of an inexperienced team that led to an overpriced, incomplete, and poorly executed renovation. Where Things Went Wrong Jaime and Crystal turned out to be personal friends rather than longtime collaborators, and our home was essentially a "guinea pig project"--a fact Jaime admitted only after things had gone terribly wrong. The staggering lack of professionalism from Hummingbird resulted in months of stress, wasted money, and a home that remains unfinished to this day. After Crystal declared the project "done" (despite glaringly poor workmanship), I asked Jaime to see the state of things herself. She agreed with me that the quality was unacceptable and even apologized for how badly things had turned out. She admitted that Crystal lacked the necessary experience and recognized that we had been unintentionally used as a test project. To make matters worse, she also told me, "Wow, I didn't realize you were so detail-oriented--I would feel exactly the same." As if they thought they could get away with subpar work and I wouldn't notice--truly insulting. Jaime's Final Disappointing Choice To her credit, Jaime convinced Crystal and Brian to attempt to fix their mess, but she ultimately abandoned the project. Despite personally acknowledging all the flaws, she later sent me a completely contradictory statement: "I have every faith in Hummingbird completing the project as promised, and overall, I believe they have done an exceptional job." This project was supposed to take 4-6 weeks starting in March--it was still dragging on in November, at which point I cut ties entirely because it was no longer worth the emotional toll. To this day, our home remains unfinished and cheap-looking, a painful reminder of the stress and financial loss we endured. What We Actually Got for Jaime's Fees After paying her design fees for both the bathroom and kitchen/living room, all we truly received was: * Layout options * A recommendation for Hummingbird (which proved disastrous) * Help selecting a kitchen table and rug Had we gone with a different general contractor, I might be writing a glowing five-star review. Unfortunately, given how this played out, I cannot recommend Jaime Langer at all.
