Do not book a table here! Paid for a larger section with a 6 bottle minimum and was told we would have that section until they closed. After being there an hour they moved people into our section (re-sold it) and as the night went on they told us we had to leave, and that they were selling the entire table again. I know covid hit the nightclub industry hard but I have never been treated like this in a nightclub. The place is nothing special inside--the bathroom was so trashed I had to leave the club and use the casino bathroom. So I came here with some buddies after having dinner at the quarter. It was after the summer so I really wasn't sure what to expect since this town tends to be a little dead after Labor Day. We got there around 11 pm and the place was already getting busy with tons of people rolling in throughout the night. The staff was great and Stacia, the bartender, was really able to keep up with the crowd. Unlike other clubs in the city that start to die down as the night wears on, Anthem just kept getting better. The place has a very exclusive feel that makes you feel like you know something the tourists don't, which is pretty cool since it's located in a casino. This place seems pretty cool, the bouncer gave us a good deal and had us only pay $5 since we got there early, and we just walked around and came back after the club opened. This place had pretty good music, the club/dance floor just seemed smaller than I thought and no one was really even there. My friends and I don't really go clubbing, so we didn't know that people don't show up until at least 12:00 PM, but we had a nice time dancing to music by ourselves and got good pictures inside! read more

We came to Atlantic City for my sister's 30th birthday and reserved bottle service for a Saturday night. When we arrived, they tried to seat us at a small table that was right in the middle of the dance floor. We asked for a different place because we wanted to have our own space, which is why you pay $300+ for a $20 bottle of liquor. They did give us a different table that was a little more secluded, but they wouldn't keep a rope in front of our table and people kept knocking over our table of drinks and we were never asked if we needed more mixers even after they were spilled. They then proceeded to yell at us after the drinks were spilled as if it was our fault people knocked over our entire table. Our waitress only came over to us 2 times in the first half hour of being there. After that, we never saw her again. We were going to buy another bottle, but nobody ever came over to ask us if we needed anything else. The crowd was a very young crowd and we consistently had people falling into us because they couldn't handle their liquor. The music was very high energy, not the typical club music we're used to. Overall, we did not have a good experience and will definitely not be going back. read more

It seemed that this is the club to go to when other clubs are closing/closed. I didn't want to go but my friends really wanted to go somewhere. There was some guy who had lots of napkins and kept throwing them in the air. Although it looked cool when they rained down, it just seem sleazy and stupid. Then napkins would just be all over the floor and it looked like a garbage land. On top of that, music was terrible. I would not come here. My Anthem experiences haven't been too hot. Perhaps I've only been there on "off" times, although Saturday night probably shouldn't be one of them. My last visit the practically empty lounge only consisted of a handful of bachelorette parties and two guys breakdancing poorly in the center of the room. It was great that we didn't pay cover, and had an opportunity for really cheap bottle service. However, you get what you pay for; nothing got us a lame experience. With all the other good venues in the Quarter, I'm surprised this one is still around. I bet they could come up with a cool new concept for the space that could drive business. read more

Came here for the Diva Royale drag show for my bachelorette party. The show itself was GREAT. This review is about the staff at the actual lounge. ADAM is an asshole. He yelled at my entire group and threatened to not let us in simply because they were not letting anyone in (the line was huge) and the show was starting (he kept saying it wasn't when we could clearly hear the host and crowd) and we kept asking what was going on. We were calm at first. We only started shouting when he began shouting at us and making threats. Mind you, we had also been told to be there at 6 instead of the original 7 PM time and were not let in until after 7. The bald guy at the door with him almost started with us too. I've never seen a doorman go on such a power trip. Thank goodness the show was great because the sh*t show at the door almost ruined our night. Never coming back to this place. read more

Although I can appreciate the comedic use of colorful language in some of the other reviewers posts, I will refrain from using it myself. My close friend was attempting to propose to his long time girlfriend last evening, he planned everything - he invited all of her friends and all of his friends, got us all rooms, and finally made sure we were all comfortable in VIP bottle service at Anthem. HUGE MISTAKE! All 45 of us were having a great time, when out of no where, my friend who was about to propose, was kicked out of the club for no apparent reason. HE DOESN'T EVEN DRINK! Maurice, the most over zealous bouncer I've ever experienced, should definitely be let go. He not only was extremely forceful in a completely casual and relaxed situation - he also was extremely rude with a not so subtle hint of racism detected. I will NEVER be back. I wish I could get my money back, or better yet, salvage my friends (almost) very special moment surrounded by loved ones. This place is a complete disgrace. P.s. Avoid Maurice at all costs. I'm definitely a fan of this place and think it has such great potential to become the go-to after hours spot every night of the week. The design of the bar is genius, keeping the entire middle area open for people to walk through and dance, and having private booths on the sides for bottle service. (Which is a bargain by AC standards, $200 for 1-liter bottle of Absolut and the server poured every drink for me and my buddies) The music was a great mix of house, dance, and a little top 40... just what I'm looking for at a place like this. The only problem was at 3am on a Saturday night there was only about 50-75 people there, I did hear the party doesn't get started til about 3-3:30am so I'll give it another shot at a later time when I'm down there on a Saturday again. They also are one of the only places in AC that lets you in with a nice pair of sneakers on, rather than the strict Dress Shoes Only policy at mostly every other place. This club should be shut down. Incompetent bouncers with no ID validation equipment. First and only place ever in my experience to turn me away, after showing a legitimate form of identification. I was out with a group of family and friends in AC for my brother-in-law's birthday last month (March 2016). Late in the evening, we decided to check out Anthem. While in-line, after showing our IDs, one of the bouncers, a 5'10'-6' portly man wearing black, thick-rimmed rectangular glasses, quickly looks at all of our driver's licenses, but randomly stops me while he lets the rest of our group and other people move forward towards the entrance of the club. Next, he (while unhooking one of the velvet ropes) asks me to step aside in the other direction away from the entrance of the club. Then, he asks me if I have any other forms of ID on me, which I didn't (I mean most people don't usually carry their passports on them, unless they are traveling internationally). After I could not produce another form of ID other than my driver's license, he then accuses me of possessing a fake driver's license (most likely because it was a MD license instead of the NJ licenses he is used to seeing). Defending myself, I reply it's a legitimate license. Not wanting to believe me (pretending to check his security procedures handbook), he then tells me I need to go downstairs to the security kiosk to verify my ID. When I ask where the security kiosk is, he tells me it's on the Tropicana's casino floor. Only when I ask specifically where this security kiosk was located on the casino floor, does he provide that information and prefaces his answer with, "Fair Enough." Reluctantly, I go through the motions and get my ID verified by a kiosk security guard, who sympathizes with me and tells me it's the club's responsibility to process IDs. Though successfully verified, I did not bother going back to gain entry into the club. With incompetent bouncers and no legitimate ID verification equipment, steer clear of this shady club, especially if you are from out-of-state. read more

Had nothing but an amazing time. Brian treated us so fantastic, nothing but pure awesomeness. Had plans to go other places but had such an amazing time here that we just had to stay. The music was great the vibe was non stop positive. We did nothing but dance!! Gabby had us jammin like no tomorrow, Brianna served us well, Will held the door down and the dj was pure amazing!!! We got bottle service for my birthday, the server Gabby was AMAZING, she made sure we had everything we needed. The owner and people at the door were very nice and treated us so well. Also, the dancer was very fun and she put on a good show . The place is small but if you're with the right people it really doesn't matter where you are . One thing I didn't care for was when I tried to request one song, the DJ was cursing at me telling me he "wasn't playing shit and didn't wanna hear shit until he saw money" . Spent my Halloween at Anthem. Got there around 11 p.m. and the place was packed until I left around 5 a.m. Although this is one of my regular hangouts, this party was off the hook! They really went all out with the theme and decorations, no surprise on that count. They always do it up right for holidays and special events. The staff dressed up and the place looked great. The service is always on point and they had a couple of different DJs that tore it up! I would highly recommend you check out this club if you're in Atlantic City, you won't be disappointed. Worst place I've ever been to, the management is lacking. I work at a nightclub and these workers have no type of hustle,customer service or common sense. On April 17th it was my friends birthday we decided to go to anthem because it was the only club open on a Tuesday night. So we got to the club at 1:20am there was 7 of us they charge all of us different prices. Which was very odd and we asked why the guy said cause it's getting later in the night didn't understand that logic because we was all together in the same group. It was $15 for men $10 for women for half the group and the other half $5 women and $10 for men. Weird right?? We let it go cause we was there to have fun and enjoy our selfs. We walked into this place it was dead about less then 15 people was in the club. It's was still fine so half of our group wasn't drinking only four of us so we decided to get a bottle. We couldn't fine a server took me 15 mins on a dead night to find a server who sent me to a short Hispanic guy behind the bar for bottle service which was weird. The bottle was $150 plus tax and gratuity $200 for selected bottles okay cool let me get a bottle of jack he refused to sell me the bottle unless I brought 2 bottles. What!! Why I asked he said cause there's 7people but there was people with reg drinks sitting in vip and it was a dead night he still refuse he told me unless I buy 2bottles but You guys can still sit in the section if I just buy drink from the bar. We came here on a Sunday night because it's the only place open in Atlantic City on Sunday. They advertise it as the best spot in Atlantic City and it was going to be 80s 90s and today's hits. Before going to the club we all got ready in club attire because we were going to a club. However this club lets people go in leggings,sneakers, sweatpants, sweatshirts, flats and even one girl was wearing moccasins. When we got to Tropicana there was a girl handing out promo cards to get into the club to give a discount at the entry when we got there we got charged $10 to go in and it was not what we were expecting at all. When we got in there was a shot girl walking around and we all took shots there was nothing alcoholic about our shots at all it was very disappointing. One of the dancers was dancing on a pole platform letting guys touch her inappropriately while she was taking shots. The club was also really small and thank God we didn't get a VIP section there wouldn't have been enough room for the 5 of us to even fit and be able to dance and enjoy ourselves. Anthem has a sexy chic atmosphere and a fun friendly staff. Clientele seems to range from 25-40 young professionals. No stuck up snobby staff attitudes here! I suggest going on a Saturday night!
