It turned out to be an antivirus program that I had installed that was causing the problem. They were able to diagnose the problem, get the antivirus program uninstalled and removed from my computer completely. And they took the time to explain to me why I should never use that particular brand and what to look out for when downloading an antivirus. They also took the time to install a good antivirus program, that can be used without paying for a subscription. They took the time to show me how to continue using the software for free, even after the 14 day trial was over. They showed me how to manually scan my computer using the antivirus software. They advised me to use it daily, and explained what to do if it found something during the scan. They were able to do all of this while I was there in the shop. I didn't have to drop it off and come back to get it, like I expected to have to do. And they only charged me $35 to fix the problem. I have used Tech ER several times to fix my devices. They are now my go to place when something stops working. I know that I can trust them and they won't over charge me. I also really like the way that they treat me as a customer. In the past I have gone to other laptop/cell phone repair companies that treated me like they didn't really want my business. I have never been made to feel like that at Tech ER. No matter what I bring to them they always treat me like my problem is important to them, and literally every time I have been in there I have ended up paying less than I expected to

The service tech called about a 1/2 hour before the scheduled appointment and said he should be there shortly. 45 minutes later he called and said his son missed the bus and he had to pick him so he will be delayed 1.5 hours. I called 2 hours later and he said he was on his way. 30 minutes later he called and said it was too far for him to drive and he would assign to a different tech. I received no further response.
