Some family and friends had recommended this Funeral Home during the passing of our relatives a few…read moreyears back, since then I have used the services of Rogers and Hutchins Funeral Home a few times and the care, compassion, patience and understanding that both Mr. Rogers and Mr. Hutchins showcase are so amazing and yet so difficult to explain in a review. This line of business I can only imagine is very difficult, but the way Mr. Hutchins presented himself during the arrangements, services and after the services made me and my family feel like he was part of our family. The entire staff was very polite, understood the difficult circumstances but at the same time had a level of caring and professionalism that seemed genuine. Just the small things that are very noticeable like assisting some of our older relatives up and down the stairs, assisting them with their cars. Small gestures like these aren't always noticed, but they go a long way for me, my wife and our family. The professionalism was outstanding; it made these difficult times much more manageable for my family and I. I will say that the parking situation can be difficult, especially the day of the funeral, but the staff was well organized, experienced and seemed to have handled the transportation situation well considering the location (Mass Ave in Arlington) and the time of day (work day morning). When the passing of a family member occurs, I will always use and strongly recommend the services of Rogers and Hutchins Funeral Home. When my wife and I were in that difficult and confusing situation a few years ago we were both nervous, intimidated and scared. We asked for help and assistance from family, they gave us the number and names; making that call removed so much of the anxiety and stress that go hand and hand with this difficult time. Most of my communications have been with Robert (Mr. Hutchins), Robert and Mr. Rogers are both very kind and know how to handle and work with families during these difficult times that we all have.

He met with my mother, myself, and another sibling for over 4 hours the next day to obtain the information needed and help my mother decide on her preferences. To be clear, not that much time was needed - but Frank listened attentively and caringly to our various stories and shared some of his own. From our meeting, Frank obtained enough information to put together a lovely draft obituary, which we then augmented. He patiently provided advice and guidance regarding the services to be held and the practicalities. Frank made everything easy - he provided a google drive link for us to upload photos, which his team turned into a video slideshow and digital banner for the wake, collage poster boards for the wake, pages in the guest book, etc. - however, he also offered to scan hard copy photos (even in frames) if that was all we had. They handled everything - even ordering the thank you notes - and it was all lovely - and were thoughtful of my mother's and the family wishes and added comforting touches (for example, arranging for the donation of particularly large flower displays post-service). When the date we selected for the funeral service conflicted with a mass that all (active) priests in the parish were required to attend, Frank reached out to a retired priest he knows to handle the service. My Dad passed Jan 2025…read more Right now I'm currently homeless so I let my brothers talk to Keefe for services as my Dad wanted them to handle it. My Dad's wishes weren't even considered. He is not a dress up person and was supposed to be wearing something casual. They put him in a suit which was not what he wanted. On the day of the wake/funeral I arrived and none of the staff greeted me. Eventually when someone showed up it was to take my coat and then disappeared. When my brothers set it up we were supposed to have two of us do eulogies as well as a priest. They did a horrible job before the wake started and didn't introduce themselves or ask about the family. (Just ushered them in the room where my Dad was and I was already in there and spent the whole wake. When it came time for the eulogies and the priest, the priest was the only one who introduced himself and asked things about my Dad. The priest did an amazing job summing up my Dads life and blessing him. After that someone came in (Remember NOBODY from Keefe even introduced themselves.) came in and announced the service was over and to head outside for the procession to the cemetery. Then to make matters worse they didn't have the family members go first, they just waved everyone on. At the cemetery they didn't even tell everyone where to pull up and park. Again the person from Keefe just announced the priest was going to do a quick prayer and announced where we were going afterward. So unprofessional and I will never use or recommend this place to anyone. So unprofessional and uncaring. My Dads final day was horrible. Wish I could give zero stars.

I dealt directly with Matthew, the owner, and he could not have been more professional or nicer. He was always responsive and able to help me out with a responsibility that was completely unfamiliar to me. The job they did was nothing short of phenomenal. They took a collection of pictures I provided (electronically via Google Drive if that matters) and made not only the usual video collage but also a blanket, a jigsaw puzzle, a printed collage board and, the one that garnered the mot comments, this folding memento of my wife. The visitors to my wife's Wake were all so touched and pleased by the job Fowler Kennedy had done that they couldn't stop talking about. I know this review is bizarre in the context of reviewing a funeral home but I'm hoping that somebody who was in the same boat I was in a little over a week ago will read this.
