Anthony could see this and was patient and took his time to explain cut, clarity, color, etc. Because of kind heart and welcoming personality I knew I wanted my engagement ring and wedding bands from there. Amazing jewelers with great knowledge. Very personable and really helped me pick out a beautiful engagement ring. They were all so easy going and patient with every step of the process. I was presented with over 10 different diamonds in the style I wanted and they showed me which ones were of better quality by comparing each diamond next to each other, which I thought was really cool. Also, after I decided on a diamond I couldn't pick the ring up for over 2 months and they held it for me with no questions asked. They custom made the ring for me with a special setting I wanted and it came out beautiful! When I picked up the ring, they welcomed me with a nice bottle of champagne for the proposal, a bottle of jewelry cleaner, and multiple options for how I could hold the ring like a really nice handmade zippered pouch in case the box would have been too bulky in my clothes. My boyfriend bought me a necklace for Christmas. After a few wears, I noticed that the necklace was defective and often spun around do to poor link placement revealing the prongs instead of the shiny stone. Being that I live in the city, and that it was the holiday season, it was difficult to go back to the store right away. When we did go, the store was closed for a week (due to the holiday season). When I did finally get into the store, the owner admitted that the necklace was defective and sent it back to the manufacturer. I think they ended up sending necklaces back and forth about three times because all of them had the same defect! Eventually, they asked that I come in to pick out something else. Frankly, nothing else caught my eye and was EXTREMELY overpriced for costume jewelry. I asked if he could simply get a refund and they said no and that a store credit was all that they could do. I am very dissatisfied with the level of service and poor quality of the item they sold. I would not recommend this jeweler to anyone. There are so many better options out there. Find someone else. UPDATE- after seeing this review, I was contacted by one of the owners and was offered a full refund. It was about a year later and I was asked to update my review here, but ultimately they did the right thing. read more

I lived in Tappan for 16 years and was a regular customer of Anthony Robert Jewelry. I bought a pair of diamond earrings for 3,500.00. My husband was diagnosed with cancer in 2008 and We sold our house and left Rockland. I lost 1 earring and went to my jeweler in NYC to see if the remaining 1 could be reproduced. When he looked through the loop he told me the "diamond was glass" I was very upset that I had been ripped off but grateful that I had only lost a glass stone. They aren't trustworthy. I always dealt with Anthony. What else can I say. I spent multiple thousands of dollars at this business. I guess greed knows no bounds. Be careful. read more

I went here to sell some jewelry but I got a way better vibe down the street at Mamari who matched what I was quoted and were warm and welcoming. The staff here was clueless about the deal they have on here for a free watch battery replacement and said it was the first they were hearing of it so I guess they don't check the yelp page for where they work? This was a bit of a turn off for me and I thought their confused reaction was somewhat unprofessional. I had brought in my moms Michele watch for the battery to be replaced, unbeknownst to me that it's an expensive piece for I have limited knowledge on jewelry, and one of the women went on and on to explain about how they send it back to Michele and whatever but I said a few times that it was my mothers watch and that if she didn't want me to leave it there then thats what was going to happen because she would rather go to her token jeweler. She thought maybe I could accomplish it on my trip but it was no big deal. I felt I was being lectured (perhaps because I am decades younger than them) and that they were just babbling on. There was nothing to convince me of. I had not asked for additional info. Not ideal. The place is huge and looked clean but I didnt really look around. Also the name of this yelp page is different than the sign on the business itself so that was confusing when I was trying to find it. read more

I was introduced to ARJ by my close friend when I was in need of a special gift for my disabled son's nurse. Anthony took great care to help me select and stay within my budget. So impressed, I wandered around the counter and came across the beautiful diamond collection. I had wanted to re-set my own engagement ring for many years but never felt confident with jewelers to take the time to help me get to what I really wanted. Bob and Anthony not only had patience but earned my trust. They never "sold" me or told me something was "perfect" for me when they could see it wasn't quite what I was looking for- they kept going. I own pieces from Graff and Tiffany and have never received the time and attention we received in designing my custom ring setting. Bob worked with Uneek designs long distance to deliver what had lived only in my imagination.
