They called me back relatively quickly (the same day) and told me to bring in my jewelry so they could assess it. They were able to give me a price quote and had the materials in stock to repair my piece as I waited. They do a lot of repairs for other Westchester jewelry shops as well. My jewelry was repaired while I was there. Within 30 minutes, my ring was fixed and than new. They cleaned and shined my ring as well. I'll definitely be back with other pieces I have. The woman who answered the phone was curt and unpleasant from the second she picked up. Rather than answering my questions, she immediately became condescending and started explaining how watch batteries work--which wasn't what I had asked. I then asked whether they guarantee their work. Instead of answering professionally, she responded in a tone that made it seem like I had asked a ridiculous question: "Of course we stand by our work." Since that didn't actually answer what I meant, I clarified by asking what the warranty on the battery replacement was. Her response? In an even nastier tone: "We don't warranty our batteries. No one does that." That statement turned out to be completely false. Their quoted price was $65 just for a battery replacement, so I called a few other reputable jewelers. I ended up having the battery replaced for just over $21, and it included a two-year warranty on the battery replacement. It's one thing to charge a premium for exceptional service and expertise. It's another to be rude, dismissive, and confidently tell a customer that "no one" offers something that multiple competitors clearly do. Customer service starts with the first phone call, and unfortunately this establishment failed that test spectacularly. When my watches or jewelry need servicing in the future, Manfredi won't even be a consideration.

We made an appointment and arrived on Saturday, March 30th around 12:45pm. We requested seeing a particular setting, so they had the ring on hand. I tried a few more on, but ended up liking the halo setting the roomie originally chose. We purchased the diamond elsewhere, so we left it with the jeweler to make the ring. A few weeks later, I stopped by to pick it up. It ended up beautiful. So sparkly. I've had it for a while and I adore it. My only complaint is that I think the setting is made for full or half carats, so some of the diamonds in the halo don't sparkle as much as the prongs can get in the way at certain angles. (My diamond is exactly in the middle of a full and half carat weight increment.) Luckily, when we bought the setting, they were doing 20% off, so we saved a bit of money. Plus, the ring was appraised (with the diamond) at a few grand more than paid, so such a great deal! I love a bargain! I haven't seen many rings with the band I got, so I'm very happy with the ritani setting. Especially the peekaboo row of diamonds on the side. I haven't seen that on any engagement rings. Such a beautiful setting!

For my custom ring order, I was given a quote and told I would be given a link to place an order. However, this was the beginning of contradictory statements and a sign I should have brought my business elsewhere. I asked for 1 small revision based on the CAD renderings (changing the arrangement of small stones on the band) and when I went to place an order, the customer support contact then told me I could not place an order via a link and I would then have to call in and gave me a revised quote of $600+ MORE. When asked about the revised quote, I was told that the first quote I was given was "too low". I pointed out that the small change (changing the small stones on my setting to be pave instead of micropave) did NOT justify the $600+ price increase. I found similar designs on their site that were priced in the range of my original quote and even shared that with them. Instead of apologizing or acknowledging their mistake in giving me an "incorrect initial quote", they told me they could only honor the quote I was given if I forgo any changes on my custom ring order. Their fault in the process became something I now had to deal with and accept. I ended up giving in as the change I suggested was minimal anyway and I was hopeful the ring would at least turn out fine. However, the nightmare came when the ring arrived already damaged with a missing prong, no engraving, and missing appraisal documents. The ring was also not secured and loosely left in the ring box when shipped. Reaching out again to customer support, I was told the estimated time for repairs was 4-6 WEEKS, far longer than it took for my ring to be made from scratch. After pushing back on this timeline, they promised to make the repair and ship it in a week. A week later I still hadn't received any updates on the repair and again had to contact support. The lack of communication and transparency at this point was ridiculous. The ring was delayed to ship and wasn't shipped until 3 days later. On their site, they advertise that they ship via FedEx overnight, well it turns out despite knowing my ring was delayed by the fault of Ritani, they chose to ship it via 2 day shipping. Upon receiving my ring to no one's surprise, the appraisal was STILL missing despite customer support assuring me that this would be included this time. Even worse, they were too cheap to actually ship the ring with the original box packaging that comes with every order. The ring box was literally sent by itself with no appraisal AND without the original packaging my order came with. The whole process has been deceitful with no acknowledgment of wrong doing or proactiveness to solve the issues they caused. I highly recommend going elsewhere for your ring and spare yourself the stress and time. This whole process ended up taking over a month when it should have been completed within 2 weeks.

I can be very hard to please and yet I have no complaints.I got my engagement ring from Kay Jewelers but the wedding band that matched was simple and the diamonds were low quality. I didn't know that many of these big name stores charged more than what they should for low quality diamonds. If I knew this from the beginning, I would have had my engagement ring custom made by Michael as well. I went to Zales, another big name, and saw a wedding band with a beautiful design but I wanted better clarity. They wanted to charge me for the ring, to resize the ring, and then to get the ring customized to get better quality diamonds. In the end, they would have charged me more than double the original price. I went to Michael and Co. Jewelers and he offered to custom make my wedding band to look like the one I saw at Zales but with better diamonds and for a cheaper price. What??!! He also BOUGHT the ring from Zales so that he could replicate the design. (As you know, most jewelry stores allow you to return jewelry purchases for a full refund within a certain period of time. So that is what he did.) All I gave him was a picture of my engagement ring to work with. He even lowered the arch on the wedding band he made so that it would fit under my engagement ring. (It is a princess cut with a slight curve and it can be hard finding ring that fits perfectly with it.) I received my ring this past weekend and it is actually more beautiful that the one I saw at Zales. He is very professional and honest. He wasn't pushy and gave me recommendations that lowered the cost and looked great. I will definitely use his services again for any other jewelry needs. read more

These guys can do EVERYTHING!! Michael is an expert jewelry craftsman! --Have a watch that needs a battery replacement? Yep, they do that in 5 minutes compared to other jewelers who take a week. --Have tarnished bangles and anklets that could use some gold dipping? Yes, they do that. (And they'll look even better and shinier than when you bought them!) --Have cocktail rings that are too big for your fingers? Yes, they can resize them. (They can smartly weld a piece of silver to the inside of the ring to make them fit correctly.) --Lost a clasp in your necklace? They will fashion a replacement that fits and suits the look of the necklace. I constantly go here for all of my jewelry fixing needs (as you can see from the above list) and am never disappointed! Michael really specializes in jewelry, when he speaks one can learn a lot for something once was just a word. I purchased a rope chain, he suggested a couple and made sure I understood what to look for: like a soldered o-loop at the clasp for extra durability, or a smooth rope as I have long hair, etc. They were all extremely patience with me: I tried like 8 chains and was having a hard time making my mind on lengths. Once I did, they explained to me all my options on payments. I selected their layaway it was convenient and not at any extra charge. I could not have been more pleased with my experience at Michael's. I had an old engagement ring that I wanted to sell. Pawn shops wanted to pay next to nothing for it. I messaged Michael's and he responded quickly. I went down there the next day. He was courtious, sincere knowledgable, etc. He explained it was out of style but he could melt down the gold and use the diamond to create a more modern style ring. I contacted Michael through yelp for a quote for plating a ring in rose gold. He responded quickly with a price range. When I dropped off the ring he said it would be about 2-3 days but the rings were done the next day! Very quick service. He examined my ring and explained that what I thought was a missing stone was actually a "junction" space, but that there was a stone at one end of the design that was cracked and needed replacement and the one that I originally came in about. He took pictures, measured, took my information and told me he would need two weeks. I paid the very fair price, and was surprised to get a text on Wednesday that my ring was ready. The ring that my grandson picked up for me yesterday was absolutely gorgeous, shined and polished and sparkling with its two new diamonds. They called me back relatively quickly (the same day) and told me to bring in my jewelry so they could assess it. They were able to give me a price quote and had the materials in stock to repair my piece as I waited. They do a lot of repairs for other Westchester jewelry shops as well. My jewelry was repaired while I was there. Within 30 minutes, my ring was fixed and than new. They cleaned and shined my ring as well. I'll definitely be back with other pieces I have. I was very happy with the final product. I would highly recommend this place!
