This place has a great lunch special. 2 pizzas and a canned soda for $5. You cannot be that. There is street parking available out front of the restaurant and sadly there is no patio seating to enjoy your food. They have a wide range of specialty piazza. But They also have more than pizza. They have wings, salads, wraps, subs, salmon.... The staff there is friendly and they offer take out and delivery during these COVID times. There is a fee for delivery though. The lobby/waiting area is kind of small and has a table with a couple of chairs there, which I think are for waiting and not for eating. I went with a slice of pepperoni, a slice of meatball and a slice of teriyaki chicken. The were not the best I have ever had, but it was good, especially consideration the price. Disappointed in the service last night. Ordered around 7:10 PM and paid on the call. Never got my delivery!!!! Kids waited till 9:30 PM and slept. Great local spot with very good pizza, friendly staff and low prices. Order at the counter and they'll bring your food to your table. Anthony's looks like it's all about slices and catering, but there's a generous dining room too and not just formica benches either. Slice and a drink just $4. Steve (his name isn't Anthony :) offers a huge catering menu and also serves a full menu of Italian favorites at lunch and dinner. The back room is admittedly windowless which never bothered me but it might not be right for date nite lol. Vegetarian rating: 4 stars, plenty of options like salads, veg sammich, pastas, pizzas and entrees like eggplant rollatini. We came for lunch and were the only people in the back room at noon on a weekday. After we chose a few slices from the pies in the rack on the front counter, Steve brought them when they were hot, it took no time at all. So this is a great place for a quick lunch. read more

If you're looking for an inexpensive way to spend a night out with the family or catch a meal before the movie, stop by Anthony's. The food is incredible and the service friendly. Last night I had the lasagna, my wife the chicken sorrentino and my grand daughter, the stuffed shells. All came with a fresh salad and hot bread. We also did an appetizer of mozzarella sticks. It was all delicious. Dinner was topped with a cannoli for desert. We always get pizza delivered from them but it's nice to get out and enjoy the restaurant itself as well. My mom was sick, so my mom had chicken noodle soup. Since that was the only thing available, I had to find my own lunch. I decided to try out Anthony's. After browsing their menu online, I decided I wanted linguini and meatballs. On the face of it, a simple dish that I should enjoy. Since I'm not old enough to drive, I had to walk there. We ordered by the phone, so I got my food and immediately walked out. I finally arrived home, and began eating. The pasta part was fine. However, when I tasted the meatballs, I was disgruntled; the meatball's aftertaste was unpalatable. The meatball collapsed every time I tried to poke my fork inside. After showing my dislike for the meatballs, my mom tasted it, too. I got the same result; she was disgusted. After all the chaos ended, why did I decide to give this restaurant 4-stars, even though the food had obvious mistakes? Here's the reason: After complaining about my meal, they offered a full refund and even another meal, but I declined to get another meal. This, alone, negates everything else, in my opinion. Sometimes, restaurants have off-days and it is bound to happen. As a customer, doing the best they can do to help, especially when doing poorly, shows that they care and as appreciation, I give this restaurant a 4-star rating. read more

We've really liked every entrée we've tried so far and have been very satisfied with the quality and value for the money. Mistakes twice on delivery orders (bringing the wrong items), but they've corrected them quickly by delivering again to bring what we ordered as quickly as possible. I have no wish to offend the owner, but I'm having trouble finding nice things to say. This is NJ and this is Pizza we are talking about. This is not des moines or Tulsa. Throw a stick and you will hit 3 good pizzerias in NJ. The pizzas look and taste like they cook is just going through the motions. Not terrible, but not ready for the Majors. The place is the real downfall. VERY tired looking. Owner has been there several years by now. Would have hoped some investment in fixing the ambiance and updating appearance would have happened by now. It just makes you wonder what the kitchen looks like. It could look terrific, but the appearance of everything else just makes you wonder, which is a shame. I'm not talking about chandeliers. I'm talking about fixing and sealing the moldings around foot of walls that are just hanging off and showing dark dusty wall interior. The lighting, the ceiling, the flooring, the furniture...tear it all out and start over like they do on the shows to renovate a restaurant. Or continue to live off the catering business, but I'm afraid I'll not return to dine there until changes are made. Today I ordered a slice of pizza and I found a black thin curly short hair on my pizza. Also they said my pizza would be here at 5:45 it got here at 6:10. I looked on Google maps and my house is .2 miles away. The walking distance is four minutes, so why did it take them 25 minutes to drive. I'm new to the area, I'm an Italian from South Philly, and a MAJOR foodie. Husband and I were in the mood for a nice piece of fish, Francaise Style over linguini. Peruzing pizza-joint menus online got tedious. Most of them only had shrimp listed in their "seafood"column, so I was so happy to see that Anthony's had Tilapia Francaise at a very reasonable price- $11.99 over pasta with a lovely spring mix salad (infused balsamic vinegar dressing on the side all packed up). The man who I ordered with on the phone was so professional and pleasant (he must not be from the area)- was the same man I met at the counter (perhaps the owner)-time will tell-- because this is my new spot. In the 70's there was an eatery called Cutters in Morristown. It was just a bar but had a fabulous reputation for their food. Their Italian food was over the top and their chicken parm was my favorite. It has been 40 years but I found that same delicate balance of crispness and flavor in Anthony's chicken parm until they changed their sauce recipe. It now taste like all other pizzerias canned tomato sauce. I still like the other entrees that don't have the new sauce as its base. Thanks for the flashback. read more

The food smelled so good when I walked by I had to go in. I had an Italian sub. and it was very delicious. It was a big portion and everything was very fresh. I had the zeppolis and they were so good. And again they give you a big portion. The staff was very friendly and the restaurant was very clean. You can do take out but I ate at the restaurant. Not only was the pizza soggy but the soup was barely chicken noodle soup it had fettuchini noodles and mysterious, low quality chicken in flavorless broth. Both items cost $8.50 which seems steep. Our boys dislike "sauce pizza" and after trying several places found Anthony's serves fresh mozzarella and fresh tomatoes on a deliciously thin crust.
