Arminio's has become something of a staple in our family's wheelhouse of easy meals. Every pie we've ordered from this Chatham pizzeria has either been right on or proximal to those elusive perfect proportions of sauce, crust, and cheese. As such, it's no surprise that every time I've gone to either order or pick up a slice, the phone is ringing off the hook while a few folks are waiting for their meals. When things get that busy, it's hard to offer the friendliest service, but I certainly appreciate how efficiently the folks behind the counter work. Recently, we took a chance on the grandma pies, and WOW. These are arguably even better than the conventionally circular pies, with a square and slightly thicker crust that are baked in pans and have a significant crunch that we didn't know we needed. If you've only been ordering their regular pies, I'd highly recommend giving these a try. There's no parking lot and a limited amount of street parking available out front, so trying to find a spot for your car can be tough, especially around mealtimes. But if you're just dipping in and out of the restaurant for a takeout order, there's a strip of no parking spots right around the corner where folks seem to leave their cars for a quick second while grabbing their pizza boxes. read more

My girlfriend ordered lunch from here today while at work as she was craving pasta per usual lol She let the person taking her order know that she'd be there in about 10-15 minutes. She was greeted by the wonderful owner who surprised her with a table set up in the back with her pasta hot and ready on a plate. She loved the special treatment and ambiance of her table. She called me while she was eating and all I heard her say was, "mmm mmm mmm" the whole conversation and then she proceeded to send me a pic of the declicious looking pasta. Yum! She ordered the lunch linguine with red clam sauce. She said it was so spectacular that she asked me to leave a review for her, that is pretty impressive :D Thanks for treating my woman like a million bucks with excellent service and pasta to die for. I got a plain slice to go and it was good. The crust is very thin so the pizza was very flimsy. While the slice was fine, I wouldn't go out of my way to eat here again. Maybe they have other menu items that are better because there was quite a line to order when I stopped by. read more

I just don't get it. I've now tried 4-5x over the past few years. Super convenient to the Florham Park Sports Dome I wish I liked it, but in my opinion it's one of the worst pizzas in Northern NJ. I haven't been to this place in a long time wanted lunch and figured I'd give them a try. The service was good. They had difficulty fitting 3 slices in a box and it took them 5 minutes to do so. But, the pizza was good. I got a slice of plain. A slice of Margherita and a slice of rigatoni vodka. All the pizza was tasty. The ambiance has a restaurant in the back and a small eating area in the front and outside. I do recommend them and I will return in the future. Also the selection of slices is enormous. read more

I ordered through the Slice App around 7:15 on a Sunday. We receive a delivery really quickly which is a plus. The pizza however was cold. It clearly had been made earlier in the evening and sat out to be likely served to walk in customers. The cheese was hard and the crust was like cardboard. It was really disappointing. I recently tried this restaurant, specifically for their pizzas slices, and it was great. I am a big fan of buffalo chicken pizza, and this place makes an excellent slice. I tried both their BBQ chicken slice and their Buffalo chicken slice. They were both amazing. Each slice is loaded with lots of chicken, which is so great. You definitely get your money worth here for a slice. I loved both of them equally, and would love to try some more of their pizza slices that they offer. I will definitely be coming back here again for some more of their delicious pizza. Cant wait to try some more of their pizza and other menu items too read more

Before moving from Brooklyn to NJ, somebody warned me about how nothing compares to BK pizza. Having grown up with lots of local pizzerias around, I can certainly attest to what's legit vs garbage and Arminio's definitely did not disappoint. Their pizza reminds me of the thinly sliced pizzas I used to get for like a dollar (the good old days) near the subway station in my bklyn neighborhood. Arminio's crusts are just perfect...not too thin and not too thick. The sauce isn't overwhelming or dripping all over. The only bad thing about it is that the place is too close to my new home. Looks like I may need to get a Peloton bike soon. read more

I can't believe that I haven't reviewed Arminio's yet since we've been going here for over 30 years. When we 1st moved to the area we could walk to Arminios, but now we live about 2 miles away. Even though there are many really good pizza joints that are close to our home we often go back to our original spot for takeout, including tonight! We love their grandma pies, their meatball and mozzarella pizza and even their cauliflower pizza. Being from the Borough of Kings (Brooklyn), known for its great pizza, I needed to see how the Chatham restaurant measured up by the slice. Much to my surprise, I ordered takeout, and the pizza was on first on my list. The pizza was rather delectable. I also had a scrumptious Mediterranean Salad -- marinated grilled chicken, feta cheese, calamato olives, tomatoes, cucumbers, bell peppers, over crisp romaine lettuce, with balsamic vinaigrette dressing. Arminio's Italian Corner was recommended to me by an acquaintance so I stopped in for my first time and had a slice. Looking and smelling the pizza on my plate made my taste buds tingle. The cheese was perfectly melted and placed on the pie as well as the sauce. The crust was fully cooked through with a crunch but not over done. Arminio makes very average food in an above average location in Chatham. It is our go to pizza place for most things given their location. However it is certainly not by any stretch the best pizza around. Standouts on the menu include their chicken Parm. One of the disappointing features of this restaurant is that they often make the pasta in the morning and serve it throughout the day. Pizza Sauce - to much oregano or basil ( just lighten up on the spices a bit and would make it much better. Crust - can't figure it out Some common errors that affect the final taste/texture of the pizza crust? - Using old yeast or too much/too little yeast (I assume that using old yeast is the same as using too little yeast?) - Too high or too low of a water to flour ratio - Overworking or underworking the dough - Too much or too little resting time of dough Marinara Sauce - (for your pasta and sides for mozzarella sticks etc.) Try just fresh garlic like you already do, olive oil and at the end through in some fresh basil and nothing else. You will be surprised how plain simple and fresh it will taste. Doesn't hurt to explore some options. Good luck read more

Not a lot of pizza options in Chatham but there are plenty of outstanding pizzerias in the surrounding towns. There are three elements I consider when evaluating a pizza: the crust taste and texture, the sauce, and fresh vs canned mushrooms. This place fails on two of the three parameters. Crust is too doughy for my liking and the canned mushrooms are pretty much a non-starter in my book. Arturo's in Maplewood, the Landmark in Livingston (order the old world pizza) and Godfather's on Route 10 are just a few of the solid pizza joints in the area. Pizzeta Enoteca also has wonderful whole wheat thin crust pizza with decent topping options. Take out is the way to go there! I am sure the owner here tries hard but when it comes to good pizza, I don't settle and this place just doesn't cut it. read more

Never a disappointment. We've been going here for 15 years, we've tried all the other and always end up back at Arminio's. They have gluten free options, great salads, BYOB.
