*** 10/10, WOULD GET STRANDED IN THEIR DRESSING ROOM AGAIN *** Okay, this particular Anthropologie team (GEMMA & CAROLINE) deserves a standing ovation. Last week, I walked in especially needy. Once I made it to the dressing room, where I had waaaay too many asks (sizes, special order items not in stock, etc.) and spent waaaay too much time. And once I was finally finished, headed to check out--after the store had officially closed, no less!--remembering: "Shoot! I forgot I needed to return these 2 items I originally came in with--oh, and can you apply that to store credit instead of original payment method?"--(they did.) I worked in retail for years and was well aware of the level of nightmare customer I was presenting. The manager & her co-worker, Gemma & Caroline treated my special order struggles like a personal mission -- and then straight-up stayed open past close just to make sure I got it right. No "we close in five minutes" death stare, no clock-watching, just genuine "we've got you" energy the whole time. This Anthro store -- with Gemma & Caroline at the helm -- gave me the patience, expertise, and kind of customer service--full send--like it was no big deal? I love anthropology. However, my experience today was not it. The fitting room associate was great but the staff leave for improvement. I had to get a dress for my upcoming bachelorette event and felt like the staff was too important to be asked for questions. I was going to buy a few outfits but ended up leaving with one dress since I felt like I didn't want to bother the staff there. I think I'll stick to shopping online or at the Cherry Creek location from now on. read more

Every time I work into this store, I always want to like something but I don't. I won't even mention how expensive their clothes are. None the less, they do have some really nice fragrances here. I have bought some in the past and when I came into this one, I did buy another to add to my collection. The bottles are small but they last forever (a little goes a long way). When I went in the store was pretty much empty but the lady at the counter was really nice and was attentive. Again, not my favorite store, but a place I do it visit sometimes. read more

I have always liked the style here. And the quality. But for all the times I have tried things on over the years, this was the very first time I found something exactly what I was looking for and it actually fit! I tried on at least 6 things, several of which I would have taken had they fit. I am short, but not "skinny petite." Just sort of average, mature "short" and I can find clothes at several stores with nicely styled petite lines, but there are just so many brands now that just want their clothes on the tall skinny ladies. The staff was helpful and they have especially nice dressing rooms compared to some places in this shopping center. It's at a mall, parking is easy. read more

You'd think that, as the only male in the entire store the entire time I was there, I'd be able to get some help. I mean, it's not like a tool shop or farm supply store where I might aimlessly wander the aisles looking at stuff I think I might need someday. No, I was sent on a mission. I had instructions. I knew exactly...EXACTLY...what I was to buy there. Get it. Pay for it. Get out. "Easy-peasy," as she would say. But I couldn't find the item. Maybe I had looked in the wrong place (though I looked everywhere). Maybe they had more of the item "in the back" somewhere. So while I'm thinking that I probably look like the best customer anyone could help, 'cause I'm obviously not going to try on outfits and ask if it makes my hind quarters look big or hold up pillows and shams and blankets to compare/contrast colors/patterns, I was roundly ignored. Is it possible they discriminate against men? After at least 30-odd minutes at the store, eventually forcing someone to help me by going through the entire line to buy something (yep, empty-handed), I figured out two things: First, all of the employees have the same aura as the women in the Katherina Fritch-esque Robert Palmer "Simply Irresistible" video. Like, god forbid anybody break a sweat or pay attention to that creature with a beard. And second, not only do employees not wear a uniform (which is fine, I s'pose), they don't wear ANY sort of identifying anything. Basically, they are camouflaged among their customers. I did eventually figure out that employees wear what looks like a wired ear bud in one ear, but bug someone at your own risk...it might be a customer talking on her phone. Also, long hair goes a long way to hide said earpiece. I know this review won't stop any woman from going to this miserable store for a "Volcano" scent contact high, but for you dudes out there...if your woman wants you to get something for her at this joint, tell her to first buy you a new F-350...and then MAYBE it'll be worth it. read more

I love Anthropologie! I always seem to forget how pricey it is though! =( The layout is kind-of long and skinny so I have to agree with Cyn on the poor scope-ability of this particular store. I tend to get turned around on the west side of the store, near the sale room; maybe I just haven't been there enough yet. It's hard to keep visiting a store you can't afford however. So far my only purchase has been from the baby section: They have the cutest stuffed animals! read more

Anthropologie is a lesson in why you should never have big discounts on your clothes. It's famous for never having online coupons, preserving it's brand value and image as a chain "Boutique". Not that it's reputation isn't well deserved because the clothes are generally well made, absolutely cute, and unique enough to last beyond the season. When they do have sales I splurge as let's face it, they are a tad pricey for a graduate student. I find the store at the 29th street mall large, with super nice staff, and a great flattering naturally lit dressing room. Additionally, this store in particular seems to carry more housewares, baby gifts than other stores to which I've been. read more

it is shocking to me how the selection of apparel and home goods at the athropologie stores out here are so vastly superior to what I remember of the chain's boston location. I cant seem to escape from here without getting something every time. selection seems a bit narrower than the denver location, but I also end of finding more unique one-off items here. the staff are amazingly sweet and helpful, but its a huge store so be patient! the fitting rooms are even gorgeous and they have amazing sales. coming here is always a treat and also one of my first stops for special gifts (those candles? amazing!) as far as chain stores go, I'd say as good as it gets. read more

3 Stars because it's Anthro, but seriously. I just went in last night and bought a sweater that ended up being about $170. No complaints there. I love it and I wanted it and so there it is. But when I checked out the guy asked me if I wanted a bag. What? Was I at the grocery? Yes I want a bag. He stuffed my beautiful sweater in a little bag, he didn't fold it. He didn't wrap my $170-sweater in tissue. He stuffed it in a bag and sent me on my way. Not awesome. This also wasn't an isolated incident. read more

I love Anthropologie! They have such lovely and girlie clothes. Be prepared to come with some money or a credit card that isn't close to your limit because the clothes are pricey but we girls can justify the price to have that pretty little spring dress :-) They also have a sale section which you can usually find something you.... absolutely..... must..... have! The store is always really nice to walk around in for getting inspiration and the staff are always really friendly. Check out the dressing rooms which are huge and you can actually see what you look like in the many mirrors (rather than thinking you look really good, when you really don't) read more

I can not understand the attraction to this place. I just don't get it. It's very popular, and there are lots of people here, and you can see by the reviews that it is a well liked store. I found the stuff ugly and expensive. For example, a top made of sweat shirt material, and the prices were just waaaaay too much. I saw a pretty dress, but at close to three hundred dollars for something that MAYBE should have been eighty bucks at the most. The sales, don't seem like sales, they aren't even like the AT or other woman's places where at least the sale price seems reasonable. These prices were rip offs. Sorry, I just don't get it. Strange patterns, stripes, with polka dots, and just flat out weird color combos as well. So - about my experience. The staff was not friendly, no hellos or nothing. I was never approached by anyone while I was there walking thru the store. In addition to that, I actually had a dress that my roommate needed to return. As I waited and she tried on more stuff, I approached the counter girl to make the exchange for her, and the counter sales girl said, why is this marked down? I told her it was on sale last week. She said, Oh, I thought it might have been a birthday reward. I told her I just needed to get the next size up. She said, well, we can honor that price again. REALLY! I have worked in retail and I have NEVER heard of something so ridiculous. An even exchange is an even exchange. It didn't matter that the price wasn't the same anymore. Oh, great, so they honored it. Believe me, they would not have wanted to do anything other than that, or they would have gotten an earful from me. So, after the funny comments, expensive crap clothes (sorry Anthro Fans, I don't get it) I will do my best to not walk into this overpriced crap clothing store again. read more

Review is for total lack of customer service. In store on an early Saturday morning wanted to try on a particular sweater in a small. Only available was on a floor mannequin that was not in the window and was easily accessible sitting in arms reach. No props, no clips or other 'fasteners' preventing it being removed. Was leaving for a trip and wanted that day. Sales refused, stated no manager in store and ordered 'overnight' that didn't leave warehouse until - a Monday and received too late on Tuesday. Like many of you, I spend a small fortune in this store as styles in CO/Boulder are very limited. Regardless, no excuse for bad service! Selections in store limited, sales staff consistently aloof. Frustrating because although clothes are fabulous, many different brands are offered and fit differently. Will now order online in 2 sizes and return when necessary read more

The staff is wonderfully helpful in changing out sizes and suggesting options for clothing. They have Nordstrom beat for service, selection and a generous latitude for returns. I went in to the Boulder Anthropologie store looking for a new outfit or two. She was very knowledgable about all the latest fashion as well as partnering items for several different looks.
