I absolutely love this Anthropologie! It's location in Mosaic Center allows me to add in a Target + grocery trip, with easy, free parking. It doesn't get any better than that! Their sale section is absolutely STACKED and the employees here are REALLY, REALLY NICE. When I came in post partum, looking like a hot mess, they must have saw me with a wild look in my eyes and helped steer me to some nice options that I still wear, and look great in years later! I love Anthropologie and if money weren't a thang then you best believe I'd decorate my whole house with the ecclectic, boho house accessories and décor from here. And this Anthropologie at Mosaic District in Fairfax is a solid location. I popped into Anthro to see what was new while walking around the area, and the store was very well-organized, bright and clean. On a weekday afternoon, the place wasn't too busy, with employees who were happy to help find products and so forth. Even the room where all the discounted items was not that messy, compared to other Anthros I've been in. I love that everything was organized by color. This is a nice Anthropologie store to check out while in the area. It's not the largest of stores; thus, they didn't have as much house and/or kitchen ware here like at other locations, but I still enjoyed checking out what was hot off the press. I'm going to save you all the mess between and just say they are a dishonorable company. They sent me a soiled used rug then had the poorest customer service on returning it! I had a c-section and I was unable to lift the item and they basically left me to figure it out on my own. I had to hire someone to help me lift it for ups to pick it up. A $600+ rug should not be sent soiled I guess because I used the discount code this is what I get. They have lost a very loyal customer. read more

My rating is based on the customer service I received in New Years Day as it seemed people did not want to work. Sorry if you have a hangover but next time, call out? I needed to exchange a Christmas gift and of course I did not have the receipt or gift receipt and wanted to know of their return policy. They did not explain their policy and I believe they had it in what looked like a 12 point font size behind their register. The cashier just told me I could only exchange it for the same item or for something else that costs more. Sure! I told her as I just want to exchange to a smaller size. She was somewhat helpful as she was trying to find my size but would leave without letting me know if I should wait or if I should follow. So I just waited and she found my size thankfully but I did have to wait in line again? I guess since I wasn't in too much of a rush. Now, the girl that helped me didn't end up doing the exchange, some guy did who I knew had heard our conversation and my situation but as I approached the register, he looked at me as if I was speaking alien language. I explained to him again I was doing an exchange and he just seemed to not want to be there, he was not very friendly and was taking his sweet time. There was no hello, please or thank you and all I got were cold looks. I quickly left and yes, I shop here often but if I ever get that type of customer service again, I'll be going somewhere else. read more

I usually love this chain of stores, but today the inventory seemed rather light when I visited the mosaic location for the first time. Maybe they were just sold out of a lot of things because of Christmas. They had a lot of cute stuff but nothing amazing. I guess I'll stop by here again in a few months and see if the selection is better then. read more

Anthropology is one of my favorite stores absolutely love shopping around but this location I felt uncomfortable! They discriminate by the way you look, when I came here dressed nice I wasn't followed around but when I came in my casual sweatpants and over sized sweater I was followed around by the same lady everywhere I went. I've been a fan of Anthropologie for over a decade. I liked their clothes more back in the day because the number of stores were limited and it made me feel like my clothes were more 'one of a kind.' Even though they're popping up all over, I still stop by to see what I'll fall in love with next. I think the clothes are 'unique.' I love stopping in and checking out what's new. I don't think I've ever received bad service. The ladies that work at Anthropologie have always been nice and helpful. Their site online is super handy too. I've been to the stores in Tysons, Reston and Merrifield - they're all great to me. A lot of their clothes are very durable and remain stylish through time, but sometimes a flimsy item will sneak in now and again. I usually wait for the sales because I can't justify an $90 shirt sometimes, but there's always an item I fall in love with and eventually cave and pay full price. I'm a sucker for Anthro. :) read more

been a long time customer with Anthropologie, but extremely disappointed by the service because today I was looked up and down and actually followed around the store by several employees watching my every step. I asked myself, what made this experience so different from my other experiences. I was wearing a black Off-White sweater and, usually I wear dresses so to me it seemed like there is a certain dress code to spend money in a store and be treated with respect. I've been to this store many times the past couple of years. Never once, ever, when shopping here have I been able to pay for an item without an enormous wait. There are either not enough cashiers or there is someone returning items and the line takes forever. I'm serious, I don't think I've ever been here and not been behind someone returning items in a process that takes at least 15-20 minutes. To be fair to them, this isn't my kind of store at all and I was just there with my wife when we were at Mosaic. That being said, the lines practically stretched from here to Richmond and moved at the speed of the beltway at rush hour. This is the slowest checkout I've ever seen and the length of the return transaction ahead of us had me wondering whether they were negotiating a Middle East peace agreement. I use to loving shopping in this store. The service use to be exceptional, employees use to be friendly and helpful. The current climate has changed this store's vibe like no other retail store I've been in. My child was told loudly "not to touch that" and the employee at the cash register ordered me around: put your items here, stand over there and then began to raise her voice at my child when he didn't immediately fall in line and obey her order. Ordered online for curbside pick-up at the Mosaic location. They emailed to say it was ready for pick-up, and stated in the email that their store hours are every day of the week 11AM - 5PM. Drove 45 mins there and they were closed. Called corporate and sat on hold for 11 minutes, she was unable to help. Chatted with 2 differed customer service reps, and both had bad attitudes and couldn't have cared less. I explained that I knew this wasn't their fault, and asked that they please just escalate the feedback that the store hours be correctly listed in the emails sent for curbside pick-up. One especially inept customer service rep said they would note that in my account, which is hilariously unhelpful. read more

This store is pretty new in the Mosaic District and has a lot of similar items as it's DC location. You can get "hippie chic" clothes, knickknacks, accessories, and home decor items (door knobs!). It's a little pricey, but no one really bothers you if you just go in to browse. Would definitely come back for a second visit to "window shop." read more

I come to this store often to just window shop with friends or get something small or a sweater or something. They usually have a fairly good sale selection in the back, but the quality of customer service varies every time I go in. Some days everyone is super nice, other times I'm being judged because I buy something small or I feel like I'm out of place because of something I'm wearing vs what the staff is and their judgmental looks. I'll keep shopping there but they def need to value their customers more and evaluate the respect they give to them. read more

I am an Anthro fanatic. It's definitely my favorite clothing store. This is a fairly new one, but at this point it is completely stocked. I love coming here for blazers, coats, tees, and blouses. I've never had any luck with dresses or bottoms. They have the most amazing home section. When you come here, the first place you need to go is the sale room towards the back. They usually have two racks within the main store, but keep going back cause there is an entire sale room. People are always really nice here and if you have any fashion questions, "does this look good?" they're really great at helping out. If you're new to Anthro, its sister companies are Urban Outfitters and Free People. I am not at all a UO fan (trends and toys) and I don't think they're anything alike; same with FP (hippie clothes). To me UO has the most affordable prices and FP is overpriced. Anthro is in the middle--tees are around $40; blouses $80-100; blazers $130. read more

Where should I start.... first of all. Some young inexperienced Asian American with no customer service skills following us to the back sale section of the store and telling us that the store closes in 20 min and not to break anything because she works there... I was looking for knobs that were supposed to be an additional 30% off. ( which she rudely informed us). After spending the 20 min looking for the knobs I finally found a matching set that I liked and went to check out. Then they said they can't sell anything that doesn't have a Sku number on it. After searching for 10 min they found the sku and then informed me that they won't be a additional 30% off because they just throw knobs back in the same section because they don't have a spot for them on the floor. read more

Well I ordered a pair of women's shoes for my wife from these guys and it took them a whole week to arrive. First of all one of the soles was already falling off. I really think they should work on the packaging so that they don't deliver damaged goods to clients. Definitely not buying here again. read more
