Went there to get help from their free stylist services I needed to update my work clothes to something professional and comfortable . My stylist Ian was a genius, he is well educated on fashion and picked out some nice outfits for me to wear. He was also nice about accommodating my budget I was able to get some quality pieces for a great price. The process was very smooth and it was nice to have help I will be back in the spring to update my collection but definitely will be coming with a bigger budget read more

What happened to Nordstrom? Used to be a high end store, with high end service, and high end, well dressed staff. Not anymore. Having some items tailored so I've been here 3 times in the last 2 weeks. Staff is wearing random, not professional, not trendy clothes. They look like punk teenagers. Nice. Service is ok. They all look at easy other to see who will have a turn out o help a customer at the register. What!!! 3 of us waiting and they are deciding whose turn it is. So bad. read more

I guess I've been lucky because in my 41 years of walking the planet I've never had such a rude retail experience in my life. My two preteen daughters and I are visiting local family and came in to the kids shoe department on Sunday. It was very busy and I completely get that and I'm very understanding. But we felt like the woman waiting on us was doing us a favor. She would only bring out one shoe size at a time, not a few and as many people know sizing is not always easy many times you need a couple different shoe sizes for kids. My 12 year old tried on a sneaker, needed the next size up and when I asked, the saleswoman just pointed up, which I interpreted meant I needed to take her to the women's for the next size. Ok, that's fine, but there is a nice way to say it and pointing isn't it. My other daughter loved a pair of sneakers. The saleswoman disappeared so I walked up to the sales counter to pay. An extremely rude woman barked at me "you need a receipt or an order number to return". I said "Actually I want to BUY these." At that point she literally walked away and found the saleswoman who had disappeared on me. If my daughter had not really wanted the shoes I would have walked away. I felt like I was in that scene in Pretty Woman! I am a long time Nordstrom shopper and card holder and spend thousands of dollars there yearly. I am seriously considering taking my business elsewhere. By no means was this a high end shopping experience or even a pleasant one. read more

Two stars for Shoney, (shoe dept), who was more than helpful! However, those are the only stars I'm willing to give. What happened to the quality and selection of shoes, and making customers feel welcome? We had to go seek help to get the shoes I wanted to try on because NO ONE came to assist. Shoney wasn't on the floor initially, but the rest of the sales associates were busy on their phones or cleaning. Nordstrom's used to be my first thought for shopping, but not anymore. March 2026: Presented a gift card in the lingerie department worth $100, which I told the sales person. She replied the gift card only had $80 on it. After the expensive transaction, I asked for the gift card back because I knew the value was $100. The sales person replied the gift card had no money on it and that she had thrown it away. I didn't want to accuse the sales person of lying about the gift card value in front of her colleagues, so I left the store. Mistake! When I got home and looked at the receipt, I saw the gift card did indeed have a remaining balance of $19.76. Be careful! Check your receipt carefully before you leave the store and get the gift card back if you have any concerns. read more

My wife went to the cosmetic department. She needed something specific to purchase and spoke to the first person. She was not very kind to her after my wife informed at this time she was not able to $85 got a moisturizer. Then Travis was asked to take over. What a wonderful person, who knew her product line. We will be asking for her for all of our purchases. Just a side note, my wife and have been shopping at Nordstrom for over 44 years. Travis is a very professional employee. read more

Older black guy talks up a shoe brand (didn't have a price on it) then we walk to the register he tells me the price and I told him I'd have to think on it. This is a good store, but my review is driven by the excellent Personal Stylist named Tia. On several occasions I needed help with outfits for special events and vacations. Then I lost all of that pesky Covid hibernation weight and needed wardrobe basics. In all instances Tia applied her vast fashion knowledge and created options that maximized my budget while making me look amazing! Tia focuses on high-quality, updated classics with pops of color and statement pieces. I appreciate her approach and highly recommend working with her. I hope no one needs to return anything or pick up from this location. Their policy apparently is to rehang each item return even if the return was 50+ items and policy must be to hang each item as slow as possible. It doesn't matter if return line is long either. Manager said they had to do that to get merchandise ready for future customers. I had assumed that I was a future customer. Rest of the store is great but whoever runs this department needs an education in customer service. read more

I've been shopping at this Nordstrom's for the last almost 30 years and up until the other day I've had great experiences. The gentleman in the shoe department was more than rude. I was looking to exchange my pair of shoes that I received for Christmas, and one representative was working with me to talk about what other shoe I was looking for, and the other gentleman was standing with his arms crossed, looking the opposite direction, but was shouting at me. I am not going to name drop here but I would hope for better for nordstroms in Tyson's. Very upsetting. Because of his attitude I took my business to Bloomingdale's. read more

I used to be able, to find a lot of deals on dress shirts and pants here. Now Macys is eating them alive. The same goes on colognes also. While that's life, my last visit here, there were few employees working. To be fair, with the high gas prices and other factors, this is lately a common experience. Will update that if it changes. Was disappointed to not find the dress shoes on sale as well. There's a reason why I generally order online. Still I will give them credit. A very sharp looking department store. It looks more high end than it is. Whoever is in charge of this, thank you for your attention to details. This store still is a viable option. I am a frequent shopper in the Tysons area. This store always has a good selection of designer items.

I have had to shop at Nordstrom's a few times during the pandemic and I'm really thankful for all of the adjustments they have made to to accomodate guests during this very weird time. Their curbside pickup has been very helpful -- I've ordered several items through their website and will park in a designated parking spot to receive the packages at my car a few days later. It's pretty seamless and hope they continue this service, it's really clutch when you have children in the car! If you can come on a weekend, be prepared to wait because they only have a few designated spots and this option is very popular. They also now have a designated return section on the bottom floor which makes exchanging sizes really easy to do! The area is very large and everything is spaced out so waiting is almost non-existent -- even during the holiday season! Sadly, I've been to the baby section a few times this year trying to get information on strollers and carseats but have yet to meet a salesperson who is around to help me. This is usually not the case so I blame the pandemic for this but I wish that there was someone more available because it would be really nice to be able to talk through the different options and get demonstrations before I drop some serious coin on my babymobile. read more

I think I'm addicted to Nordstrom's whether it be Nordstrom's or Nordstrom's rack. I'm always there for it! I parked by the perfume entrance. MY FAVORITE! Who doesn't love a slew of perfume selections?? I know I do! Not only does it make you happy but it smells good too. They have so many options here. The clothing is truly quality. Two words. TOP SHOP! Yess! Top shop has the cutest up to trend clothing and the quality is absolutely amazing! You are paying for quality though. It is quite pricey but definitely worth it. Aside from top shop, I didn't really see much more clothing selections. They had a few here and there and a lot of work out clothes but honestly not as many clothes as one would think given this is Tyson's corner. Top floor - CHRISTIAN LOUBOUTINS honey! I don't know why this needs to be said but it does. I've had such a hard time finding red bottoms in store for the longest time but I finally found them! People kept telling me Tyson's and I didn't want to ask, but where?? So after perusing for hours through numerous stores I FINALLY stumbled upon them. There was only one shoe salesman and he was busy so I didn't wait to try on a pair to find my right size but now I know exactly where to go! Overall, this is a great Nordstrom's. Quality, and customer service can't be beat. I was welcomed by every employee I came across. I just wish they had more women's attire! read more

This particular review is about styling. I've already had 2 friends ask me about my styling experience bec they didn't know Nordstrom does styling. My husband left fulltime military a few years ago and needed work clothes and got styled by Chris, who was AMAZING. I recommend him so much! I don't wear a uniform, but I created one for myself during preggoness which was a black dress x5. Like the same dress that I bought x5. I wore a white lab coat during my entire pregs, so it didn't matter much. Then after preggoness, again, another uniform. Loose tops, yoga pants, boots. WELL THE TIME HAS COME PEOPLE. I'm ready to wear Style again. I definitely don't know what I'm doing with clothes, so I knew I needed a stylist. I used the website to make my appointment with Jillian. I told Jillian my story and she spent so much extra time helping me get my look right. I enjoyed working together. I definitely recommend her 100%. Everything then got altered so it was custom. This was definitely an INVESTMENT, read: expensive. But everything I got will last forever. -4 pants -2 blazers -2 block heels -6 tops 3 of the tops are crazy expensive, like LITERALLY $1 million each. Then the other 3 are from the juniors section. It's a balance. The alterations were not basic, so that was another $1 million. Be prepared for that. If it's a lot of pins, the alterations can be $50+ for one item. The reaction at work with my new look has been really positive. Styling doesn't cost extra. I paid for clothes and alterations only. read more

Ginger helped me pick out and try different skirts, walking around the floor. They also helped me with some last-minute tailoring as well. I've been going here for years. Usually my experiences are just fine. But it has become increasingly common to walk into the young adult section downstairs and be completely ignored by staff. They always seem to be chatting at the register, or leave the area completely. I had to wait and search for someone to check me out today. They also did not tell me the dressing rooms were open (would have been super helpful!) they, instead, were talking at the register. I also went in for work clothes (finally back to work!) and I knew they had their anniversary sale. Nothing was properly marked for what was or wasn't on sale. Not to mention, items online that were marked down were not marked in store. I paid full price for two items when I should have gone online to get it half-off. Yikes. read more

I've always been a fan of Nordstrom's, as their contemporary and their fragrance selection has always been of a variety, and I usually find a particular item that I am looking for. Parking can be tough at this mall - as I've stated before, if you're only there to pick-up an item and/or to do returns, it's best to go with a friend or your sigfic other so you can get dropped off and be picked-up - curbside service! I had an online order to pick-up, and there were clear signs posted to direct you. Take the escalator up and make sure you have your ID and your confirmation order number ready. I normally don't do this but If I could give this store a negative 0 I would. The security team at Tysons RACIALLY PROFILES and this is the SECOND time this has happened to me. I went to the designer sunglasses section today to look for new shades and a security person (I believe his name is Tez) came to the department randomly and starts speaking with the employee who worked in that section. Mind you there were other people browsing in that department as well. As I'm walking away towards the exit, I notice he starts following behind me. Then he starts walking fast to get ahead of me and pretends to be looking at cologne that is right in front of the exit. As soon as I walk out the door, I look back because I caught on to what he was doing and he stopped what he was doing, starts walking back and stares right at me and looks away as I'm in a standstill staring at him. Then proceeds to walk away because clearly NOTHING was stolen! WHY WEREN'T other people in the same sunglasses department not followed?!? I use to work there so I know exactly how it goes because they did it to me before while I was on the clock . They were following me in my department because at the time, we were not wearing name tags or anything. The security guard was following me as I was looking through clothes and I literally had to tell him that I worked there and he immediately apologized after. It is getting out of hand and it's absolutely RIDICULOUS. They pick and choose a certain type of people to follow around the store and its disgusting! read more

I have been shopping at Nordstrom Tysons since 90's. I used to buy 80% of my cloths, shoes , and cosmetics at Tyson's store. They used to have a great selection and great sales associates. But in the past 10 years they gradually have got worse especially after Covid. Now I spent maybe $1000 a year in that store Maybe less. There is perhaps 5 sales associates in the entire store who have been there for a long time the rest are so unprofessional. I was going to buy a sweatshirt there was one young woman at the register with full concentration on her phone I asked her a question about a brand I was looking for. While she was looking at her phone she said "back there by the wall" Bottom line no selection no service I shop at Neiman's. I can get the brands I like and get the best service. I would rather shop at Macys rather than Nordstrom. read more

I've been a Nordstrom shopper since 1989. My to-go store was store 600-Tyson's. This is my least favorite store now, and unfortunately the one I prefer- Dulles Town Center for less hassle and traffic, has been relegated to a second tier offering. If Nordstrom understood demographics like they used to , they would know this store has great untapped potential because as traffic crawls to a halt even on weekends around all the major roads; more people feel like I do. Nordstrom in this area has been reduced to the status of a fancy Macy's when that store was good. They target the under 30 crowd with cheaply made, trendy, "designer" high priced goods, which is kind of silly, because the people who have the money in this economy are in their late 40's and 50's , and of course the baby boomers. Real class doesn't need to pronounce it on a label- that's the Nordstrom I used to love. Bring it back. read more

I recently went in last week to pick some stuff up for and just leisurely shopping. I stopped by the men's department where the jeans are and I was greeted by MARIA she was polite although based on her appearance I did not know she work there (it seems that that the older ladies wear sports legging in this department which makes it seem low end compared to Neimans and Bloomingdale's ). However I told her I was fine and carried on. I kid you not she kept following me the entire time in the department and what seems like a body guard and I felt uncomfortable. When I went to pay I went to another register because clearly she wanted the commission but she was helping multiple people so I chose to not give her that. This store has fallen apart the old ladies that work in the morning are very hungry for sale and poach like hunters. Plus at the other register where I did ring up MARIA is known for "stalking" her customers and it seems that management either does not care or they are lacking in it. If someone reaches out I would like to escalate this to corporate because the experience I had here was horrible and I felt like the store compared to Bloomingdale's and Saks felt like a car dealership. Also the men's section smelled awful from the restroom it's embarrassing and the store is always hot I have shopped here for over 10 years and it's still broken and the same excuse just from different people. And for woman's I refuse to go up it looks a mess and is disorganized compared to others in the area like Bloomingdale's. And in my last review I complained how the fragrance selection is very small for men compared to other retailers hopefully they fix it I only come here to shop at the Le Labo counter where the staff is always pleasant!!! read more

I'm not necessarily reviewing the Nordstrom. I'm more specifically reviewing Jen from the Le Labo counter in the fragrance department of Nordstrom. I am a fragrance... enthusiast/amateur, but Jen has never made me feel like an idiot. I went in one day and requested to smell a fragrance that I had read some very impressive reviews on, but found difficult to track down. She allowed me to smell it, and then even gave me a couple of samples to take home so I could try it. I went back the next day to purchase it, and she recognized me! We had a great conversation and she even recommended a couple more scents for me. I went back today, a couple weeks later, and she still recognized me, and by name! We had a great conversation and she treated my wife just as kindly and warmly as she treated me. Jen is an absolute gem, and I want to be her friend. She is so kind, so gentle, and very funny. Bring back that lovin feelin. I miss the old Nordstrom. When customer service was paramount and when you customer retention actually meant something. Such an unfortunate experience after returning over $1k worth of clothing and shoes (and spending $3k in the last month alone - for context) with legitimate receipts and everything, I had one more older item left in my bag to return. From a purchase on April 5th, despite having the order number, the item ($69), tags attached, in good condition and showed her the matching item in the app as further evidence. She INSISTED that I bought my item at the Rack. Again, despite all my evidence. The woman helping me couldn't have been more unpleasant, more aloof, or less interested. After several back and forth, she INSISTED that she credit me the $15 the shirt is selling for at the Rack instead of the $69 I paid on April 5th. Nordstrom used to be all about relationships with their customer and now they don't care. Gone way downhill, Nordstrom. Very sad. When you know better you do better. Now you know. read more

Bottom: The Taj Mahal of Nordstroms. I love this Nordstrom. If the Nordstrom near me was like this store, I would be broke! Not only is this store large and beautiful, it has so many departments that other stores don't like the Wedding Suite and Salon Shoes. There is so much selection here including some thriftier brands in the BP department on the lower level and luxury goods on the top level. I visited Nordstrom on Saturday afternoon to pick up my online purchase. I was quite put off by the perfunctory service at the pick-up counter which was nothing compared to the frosty service at the gift wrapping counter. The lady at the Home department counter (where I was told to go) gave me a doubtful look when I requested for the gift wrapping service. She looked over to the online collections booth as if she needed to verify that I was indeed instructed to head over to get it wrapped while I tried to show her the receipt that was attached to the paper bag. While she was preparing to wrap the item, I asked to check if the price tag was still attached. It was but as I wasn't sure if it would fit, I asked if it was possible to remove the tag for the gift but yet be able to return it (places like Tiffany's issue gift receipts to facilitate swaps or returns). She tore off the bottom part of the price tag (with the price on it), leaving the rest of the barcode so I could return or swap for the right size if required...that's a solution but the snarky remark that followed was quite unexpected. She said "Sometimes..." drifting off and gave me a look that made me feel silly for asking her for a solution when it's something that's easily solved by tearing off part of the price tag? If it wasn't for the fact that it was to be given as a birthday present that evening, I would have returned the item immediately. As luck would have it, I'd bought the item in the wrong size and have to head back to swap for the right size or to return it. I've decided to return the item instead and shop elsewhere. PS: Better service at Nordstroms in San Francisco, San Diego and even Nordstroms Rack in Fair Lakes. read more
