Whoever is styling this Anthropology deserves a raise! Seriously. It's pure eye candy, every square inch of the two floors. I hadn't been here in a few years and stopped by one evening to pass the time waiting for the streetcar. I was amazed at how vastly different the store looked. So beautiful! Loved the wall behind the cashiers which was a large mosaic made from broken blue and white dishes. It is stunning and so unique. Sure, the store was filled with the same categories of contents, but it was arranged in a far better format, keeping the "departments" clearly delineated while still being part of one larger venue. Allowing for lots of space to keep an airy open vibe. Everywhere I turned was another gorgeous vignette. Everything thoughtfully organized in a logical way. Loved! Housewares, textiles, home decor, accessories, clothing? Check, check, check and check. Housewares? Plenty. Dinnerware, coffee mugs, fun decorative serving spoons and spatulas, glasswear, pitchers, cake dishes, canisters, florals, solids. Textiles? Yep. Gorgeous aprons in fun and vintage prints that you would want to wear. So many unique kiitchen towels in beautiful prints, some with funny sayings, whimsical and quirky. Oven mitts. Fun knobs I dozens of styles to easily upgrade cabinets and dressers. Home decor? Absolutely. Couch, pillows, throws, coffee table, mirrors, bowls, coffee table books, candles, diffusers, faux succulents and plants, candles, area rugs, occasional chairs and tables. Lots of mid-century style which I love, and fortunately is on trend. , Accessories? You bet. Earrings, necklaces and earrings, mostly the current on trend styles. Fun handbags (if the ones with bangle handles were leather, they would have come home with me!) and scarves and shoes. Clothing? The full gammit. Tops, sweaters, dresses, jumpers, jeans, pants, layering pieces, jackets - everything. While I do appreciate the style, especially their Ong flowing dresses, I personally think the clothing is overpriced. An item has to be super special for me to purchase. Over the years I have bought a few dresses and several sweaters. They do have a great sale rack which is always worth checking out. Interestingly, for the almost 20 minutes I was there, not one person approached me although there were at least 5 people working and I was one of a few people in the store. Maybe because I was snapping pictures and clearly moving fast, they figured I wasn't there to shop. And I sang. I had just missed the streetcar so had 15 minutes to check everything out before catching the next one which stops right outside their window. Conveniently. I will definitely be back when I have more time. Great place to buy a hostess or birthday gift for sure.

    Got beautiful plates.

I love this store. Stuff is always welcoming. Easy to talk. Inside store smells amazing. Good sale . Beautiful organizing. So creative. Clean and beautiful.

    Pricing

Eh. Nice open space and decent music. Turns out I can't get the price as advertised on Anthropologie site for this specific store. Ok, how about if I order online and come back in an hour or so to pick up? Not only no, but the manager starts rattling off acronyms (ISO? ISU? why should I need to hear about your internal systems?) as the reason. So I gave them the extra $4 and asked that they put it toward improving the information facing customers on the website, to help staff so customers have complete and accurate info and don't get frustrated.

Because I had purchased two pairs of shoes from them recently, I had ~$20 in dividends to spend. So when I was near this downtown location, I stopped in to see what I could get. While of course this is a way to get you back into the store to spend money, there was no pressure of what to buy. Staff was super helpful in pointing me to items that would be fully under the dividend amount and therefore totally free. For the amount I had, this was primarily socks or sunglasses. I happily walked out with a new pair of shades! This is a nice perk and just another reason to support your local running store.

Morgan "Run-Shoe-Pro" gave me the lowdown on run, walk and train options. He was really easy-going, friendly and quite knowledgeable about every shoe on the shelf. Impressive! I came to try Topo Magnifly 5 with 0 mm drop. I walk 5 miles daily around Portland on concrete so I want a shoe that's easy on old creaky senior knee joints. Through the years I've worn Altra (also available here) the past decade. Topo and Altra have similar wide toe boxes. Topo fits a little bit snugger in the heel, which I like. I bought the Topo. Walked around the store with 1 Altra and 1 Topo on for comparison. Altra or Topo, either way, healthy feet are vital to your mobility and fitness. Do you want a natural shape to fit the foot better and provide the best posture for running, walking or hiking? What I think - do you Go By Foot around PDX? Yup ya say! Well, gonna be lots of peeps foot traffic around Stumptown. Do you want cool comfy looking street shoes? That support your walking mobility? Then - Go By Foot Traffic - go buy good shoes for your happy feet! 60 day exchange and return policy even if you've worn 'em.

The store looks extravagant with lots of fancy interior arts, illustrations and shoe walls. There are apparel, shoes and some accessories sections. The fitting room area is also nice. As I explored the store, I saw a lot cool shoes, both for men and women. They were some of the newest model of sneakers. For apparels, they had the casual and workout gears. There was a small section for World Cup team merchandise. Prices of the items were Nike standard, on the higher end. The staff members at the store were friendly. The prices are in the high side, especially for Portland, but a cashmere cardigan for $400 is the going rate. The boutique is bright, clean and has an industrial vibe. It's easy to browse through the racks of clothing which line the parameter on racks in a color coordinated fashion. The cashmere dresses are scrumptious! Beautiful in color, texture and style; refined elegance, classic, timeless. Even cashmere loungewear, perfect for staying comfy and warm during these long days spent at home. Kayla, the young woman working that day, was super helpful and pleasant. She easily engages in conversation and provides assistance, if that is your mode of shopping. And also gives one the freedom to browse at their leisure with no pressure to purchase, which is my preference. We visited on MLK Day and were there specifically to see what Oliveve handbags were available since I had recently come across this brand while shopping at the House of Lolo in Palm Desert. Kayla immediately recognized my Jasper bag! The Oliveve bags have a modern design, clean lines, and my bag is made of neutral colored pebbled leather. It's the perfect bag to use while shopping as it is a cross body style yet as large as a tote and holds a lot. That day there was only one Olivevebag available, a black handbag with tan wrapped handles, and my friend immediately claimed it! I'll have to go online (Oliveve.com) to buy my next one, the black oiled Italian leather Eva bag, which I've had my eye on for a few months. In addition to the clothing, they have a small selection of unique jewelry and other accessories like boots, tassels to add to your handbags, hats, belts and scarves. Even a small but unique selection of home decor items like textured throws, pillows, candles, woven baskets and trays, perfume and vases.p to adorn your home. Located on NW 11th in The Pearl District, it's around the corner from the main shopping area so unless you know it's there, you may not stumble upon it. It's worth seeking out if you want to add quality clothing to your wardrobe that you can wear season after season. And while you are there, definitely check out the jewelry, boots and the Oliveve handbags!

Maybe I am just not hip with the times and people really do spend that kind of money on a random coat, if so, I beg your pardon. It would be cool if your shop had goods that "normal" people like me, I know I am throwing the term normal around quite loosely but folks probably get my gist.
