This store reminds me so much of a little town in Jersey that I used to love stopping into. It's so vibrant and I love the elegance and the customer service is great. My favorite part about this experience itself is that I came in here once before and I felt very out of place but this experience I was very happy to see engagement with each other and following up questions it was great

Mermaid and merman dish towels. Too cute!

I do love this eclectic fun store. There are woman's clothes and housewares here. It's a fun hip style. The clearance is the back of the store where you can find all types of deals depending on the time of year. I definitely love the clothes' styles here as well as the housewares. It reminds me of a combination of World Market, Pier One, as well as kinda like Francescas. Prices are higher for me, so if I could find something perfect in clearance, I'm super happy!

Went in to Anthropologie as it is a usual haunt for essentials -and I had a gift card - woo hoo! Left with mixed emotions and mostly not anxious to return, when normally Anthro is a slam dunk great experience. Sadly, here's why... Store Layout / design / ability to find items more difficult than most Anthro's - whether your experience comes from a large/major city or smaller shop. The most frustrating aspect was the mixing of "forever 21" style items (let's face it long time devotees, they have sacrificed quality to bring in lower price points) with the unique/ boutique styles - forcing professional and more mature shoppers to sift through all the "junk". This store does not carry higher end jewelry, specialty handbags, or shoes Notably absent was anyone approaching 40 or above to assist mature shoppers - who in my first observation - made up the majority of those in the store during the week day I was there. This was the first time I noted the bias at any Anthro store. Also, I was taken back that a young man was assisting in the dressing rooms. He was sweet, respectful, and perfectly nice. This is obviously not an issue for the less reserved, I simply note it so sensitive shoppers are aware. Additionally, while the store was *fully* staffed with respect to shopping and restocking activity, it was a surprisingly long wait to purchase - there was only ONE girl at the cash register. The woman behind me was not happy either. On the upside, I had help from an amazing girl who could be my next personal shopper and I adore that. Once I recover from the disappointment, I'll try again and hope to post an improved 3-4 star rating!

    Beautiful pots

I have always love browsing anthropologie! There are so many cute gift ideas. I do not like the clothes as much as I used to also because sometimes seem overpriced. The housewares are more affordable. I will definitely visit whenever I'm nearby or looking for a gift. I always love coming here even if it's just to browse or look for gifts.

She was with me for my hair appointment, so we turned the whole thing into a full blown mother daughter day, which made it special regardless of what we did or did not buy. Hyde Park Village is absolutely perfect for strolling, wandering, lingering, and people watching because if you want to observe how the well heeled set moves through life, this is your front row seat. You will see retirees with serious jewelry sitting at cafés for hours, young professionals dressed like they have brand partnerships, and valet attendants casually opening doors to cars that cost more than some people's homes. It is fascinating in the best way. As for shopping, I will say this with humor and humility, it is way outside of my budget. I can admire the displays, appreciate the tailoring, and mentally style outfits I am not purchasing, but when I look at the price tags I am reminded that I am there for the ambiance and not the transactions. That does not make the experience any less enjoyable because there is something wonderful about walking through a beautifully curated space without the pressure to buy. For me, Hyde Park Village works as a place to enjoy a gorgeous Florida day, grab a bite, observe the scene, and spend quality time with my mother, which is what truly mattered. I may not have left with shopping bags swinging from my arm, but I left with a memory of a really lovely day, and sometimes that is the better purchase anyway.

People are walking around with their dogs and pretty happy here. This event took place from 5-8pm with the tree lighting at the end. We wish we saw the nutcracker ballet, but when we got there they were finishing up. We were able to get parking in one of the garages which they just opened up again when we got there. That made it way way easy since there was a good amount of parking inside. We were worried about the parking and it was fine. There was some vendors here and there but not too many. I wish we took pics by the vw van, but we didn't. They did have free ice cream from Oddfellows that we got. They sold mixed drinks and cotton candy and flowers and some food here and there like Birria Bros and The Mighty Fine. We didn't get any food and drinks while we were there. It was a nice relaxing night that made it even better with the Christmas lights and fresh air.

The place carries a variety of "southern" gear, which equates into what fraternity people who are no longer in a fraternity would wear after leaving college. It also caters to the people who are actually still in fraternities. Like I said, it is a very Southern place, so think camo hats, fishing shirts, maybe some nice button downs, bow ties, croakies. For the ladies, the clothing is pretty cute but don't count on the stock changing too much. I think I have literally seen the same dress sitting in the place for an entire year. They also carry jewelry and some housewares that are pretty Tampa-esque, which is neat. I must say I'm sorta bummed about this place though because they were running a Creative Loafing deal half off and then rescinded it AFTER I had bought it which sort of sucks because it seems like these people want the money and not the good business that they could get from the deal. Their stuff goes on sale sometimes but it's hardly anything to bat my eyes over since I know it'll always be there, even a year from now.
