Magnolia is a small 11000 person town that truly consists of SAU college, Walmart, and various nothing restaurants. In general if you are looking to dine out you are left with a plethora of fast food or rundown questionable eateries to choose from. However... this Mexican restaurant is doing everything it can to be THE spot in this town to go. They have up graded the entrance since last I was here... big decorative covering with built in benching and all... very nice! Going in the place it's self is good sized, well staffed, and clean. We were seated right away and immediately well attended too! Between our waiter and the lady who seated us we were never wanting for attention or anything. They treated us seriously well! You can judge a lot of Mexican eateries by their chips and salsa. This one had good firm chips and slightly spicy salsa.... it was good... not GREAT... but pretty good. We also ordered some guacamole and queso both of which were great! They have a kids menu that has regular selections also if your children are not adventurous. Ours had a grilled cheese. I had the steak puff tacos and they were fantastic! Lots of steak in s crispy puffed up shell and all of the fixings... it was really very good! My mother in law had the nachos and she said they were great. My wife had the taco carbon with steak and she liked them. Everything was quite delicious. Great kind and attentive service with pretty good food in a small town... in Magnolia this is a truly great find! read more

When I want Mexican, or Tex-Mex, I wouldn't think of Arkansas. But this well-lit cocina provided a decent surprise. As a native Texan and consumer and maker of authentic Tex-Mex, I can say that this place pulls its weight. Beer was cold, and paired well with the Carne Asada. Chips and salsa were acceptable, but I'm no novice and usually do 50% of my reviews based on those two alone. Restaurant was clean and bright--did I mention well-lit?? The best part came when I got the bill. The price was well below what I'd have paid when set against the quality. Well done, Arkansas. Well done indeed. read more

My absolute favorite place to grab lunch! Antigua's is so convenient and close by that I go here at least a couple times a week! The prices are very reasonable, the staff is amazing and food is always ready extremely quick! If you have never been here you are missing out!! Always fresh and always delish!! Definitely try the brisket tacos or sub at least once. Great flavors. But our goto is kebobs. We've been there many times. I love the food, but there is too much cross-contamination for me to eat there, since I have to eat gluten free. It always makes me sick. My husband loves the tacos. I recommend the brisket tacos (although they are sometimes very salty). The chicken parrilla is also very good. Sometimes, depending on which waiter you get, the service can be slow. read more

Brought out my food cold. Took it back and obviously microwaved it because the plate was hot but the food was still cold. Had to eat half of my friends dinner while waiting for my own. UPDATE: on the third try, they screwed up my order AGAIN at which point we walked out because it was no longer worth trying. I would recommend any other place over this place. read more

Restaurant is clean and bright, service was good and the food presentation was ok. I ordered the puffy steak tacos and they were very good filled with tender steak, rice and beans with a sprinkling of cheese and diced tomatoes on top. My sister ordered the grilled chicken chimichangas with sour cream sauce and although the chicken was tender it was not as flavorful as she expected it to be but she thought it was ok. The portion sizes were fairly large which make it a good value. Will definitely return. Came for lunch again today, the guacamole was awesome and the queso was much better. Both the queso and salsa need more flavor and a little heat to them but still say they are the best Mexican Restaurant in Magnolia!!! read more

When I don't know where to go, I usually say Antiguas. They are consistent with their meals and it is always fresh. I like their fajitas and chimichanga, but my favorite is the brisket taco. My kids love their queso. The service is usually pretty good and it is clean. It isn't the Tex mex I enjoy when I go to Pappasitos or On the Border, but it is the best Tex Mex Magnolia has. read more

Visited the location in El Dorado for lunch and it was a rather poor experience. Definitely not the best place around. It started immediately with our drinks..ordered lemonade and got limeade. THERE IS a difference. Then we ordered cheese dip and it was probably the worst white cheese dip I've ever had. It tasted like it had been thickened with a massive amount of flower. No one enjoyed it. For lunch my girlfriend and her mother had chicken quesadillas, which they both said was okay, followed by....its hard to mess up a quesadilla though. I had the steak taco, which came out a steak burrito. 2 stars instead of one because the service was fast, so we were in & out. Will not visit this location again. read more

I would not recommend this place to anyone. We did not get a refill the entire time we were there. There was also a hair in a plate of our food. If that doesn't sound bad enough there was a huge dead cockroach under the table. We asked our waiter to get the manager to tell him about it and he never told him. After a while of "waiting for the manager" we went to tell them about the cockroach and the hair they didn't even apologize. The response was "was there?" We still had to pay for our food. This place is ridiculous and I will never eat here again. read more
