There's also a walking/running path for you, your family and pets that's about a 1/4 of a mile round. There's also room for family BBQs and small parties. Update 04/10/2023: still beautiful as it was and there has been a few changes. The ground floor for the playground has been changed to a flat, soft, bouncy floor which makes it less hazardous. And I'm happy to announce that there is now a public restroom which is lovely. Now we can enjoy the beautiful park fully. I just hope they continue to maintain a clean park. For safety reasons, I like to avoid what I call convenience playgrounds. Those are parks that…read morepeople only go to out of convenience rather than as a destination. They'll cut through the park to get to their destination or hang out only b/c it's there close to where they're going. If it was any further away or more difficult to access, they wouldn't be there. Those types of parks invite people who have no real business being at the park which can lead to safety issues. Holly Creek is not one of those parks. It's definitely a destination playground. You won't find yourself up on that hill to the base of the playground just for kicks and you certainly won't make your way up the incline or stairs to get to the actual spots like the tennis courts if you're not intending to play tennis. You're also not taking effort to go up there unless you're really intending to play with the play structures or to find the sweat spot for a picnic. I didn't confirm, but I'm pretty sure the small building I saw on the other side of the tennis courts is a bathroom. Hopefully it's only during Covid, but dog walkers seem to ignore the signs about no dogs being allowed on the baseball field. Saw at least 4. If you're intending to play ball, bring a gang or wear your uniforms so it looks obvious and maybe they'll move away. Do I deserve to be there to fly my FPV quadcopter more than the dog owners just chilling? Debatable. I didn't feel like confronting anyone and certainly didn't want my quad chewed up by a dog. Nor would I want dog owners giving me attitude b/c somehow I create an attractive nuisance for a dog that shouldn't even be there in the first place. The playground structures are on the older side, but the structures seem fun. A single designated entrance/exit which is excellent for safety. You know who's going in/out and there won't be people using it as a short cut to get through the park. Those that don't belong there most likely won't be wondering through there and it'll be obvious to everyone. Single paths aren't the safest of ways to design a park. It forces people who don't want to cross paths to have to cross paths. There should always be an alternative route. The variety of types of spaces makes this place possibly worth a second trip. Remember that hard to get to is actually a good thing as long as enough people make that trek. Population needs to be large enough where anyone willing to make the trek out to a spot isn't vulnerable by being the only ones out there. Worth checking out, but don't get too excited.

It has things for you to setup a barbecue party, got a play ground for kids to enjoy themselves, and the trees provide a nice shade to protect you from the sun (skin cancer is real btw, use your sunscreen whenever you're outdoor plz). It has a dedicated free parking lot as well! I walked around here for like 10 min and really enjoyed it. What I like the most is that it's big! This is a fantastic location for playing bubble soccer. Big, flat, and the grass provide a nice support in case you fall down. Hopefully my review can help other yelpers to discover this hidden gem!

We went to the park at about 3:00 pm on a Sunday afternoon. LOCATION Sungold Park is located at the end of Sungold Court, all the way at the end of the street, on the right side. See my pics. Street parking available, though, not lots of it, but it wasn't very busy when we were there, only about two other families. THE LOWDOWN Sungold Park is well designed because of the way it's laid out, it's easy to watch your kids. There are TWO PLAYGROUNDS at this park, one for older kids and one for younger children. There are four regular swings (no baby swings) and 2 big slides, 1 toddler slide, a stand-on merry-go-round for two, rolling tic-tac-toe, and a speakerphone/old school telephone function for kids on the play structure. The ground of the structure is covered with tanbark. Nice features of the park are that the two play structures are partly COVERED WITH AN UMBRELLA. There are also four COVERED TABLES by the BBQ area. There are two checkerboard tables that seat two per table. On the opposite side, there are two more bigger tables/benches that sit six each per table. There are two BBQ grills. Several garbage cans throughout and plenty of BENCHES around the perimeter of the play structures, so you can have some refreshments and watch your kids. GOOD TO KNOW This park is LOCATED RIGHT OFF A BIKE PATH! So it would be a nice park to bike down to with the family or your friends, have a picnic on the grass or on the tables, let the kids play, and then continue on your bike adventure. There is a BIKE BRIDGE right across the park off of a bike path. Also, there is wire FENCING by the residential area, to the right of the play structures, which is a smart design feature. So you don't have to worry about your kids running into the street all of the sudden while they are playing. However, I would keep a closer eye on them if they are playing near the covered benches/tables, which is closer to the street entryway area. For dog owners, there's a pooper scooper bag dispenser. There's drinking fountain water for people and another water spout placed lower that for dogs. I RECOMMEND Have your kids bring their foot scooters or bicycles! There is a smooth sidewalk perimeter around the play structure area (see my pics), where your children can happily scooter or bike around, and they'll still be easily visible to you. RATING This is a great park for the features that I have mentioned. I've rated it a four for being thoughtful in design (fenced for safety, well structured - the kids love playing in it, for having the umbrella cover, and there are ample tables/chairs/benches. If it had a bathroom, I would have given it five stars. We will definitely come back to this park again! Check out my pics, they'll paint the picture of this park for you!
