My wife and I stopped by after Yelping antique stores around the area after visiting friends near Lancaster. Needless to say, this stop was totally worth it. They had a huge selection of antiques and vintage clothes, furniture, decor, etc. it was fun just to walk around and look at everything! Everything is reasonably priced compared to expensive thrift stores in LA. Everyone who worked there were also very nice and we ended up having a fun chat with our cashier about ghosts and how the place used to be haunted too. There's so many nice things from glassware, furniture, toys, clothes and of course, lots of treasures. We found so many nice things and everything is very reasonably priced. On the east side of 6th Street East. Estate sale and flea market fans will love it here. Think of a permanent slice of the Pasadena Rose Bowl on Sunday. Sprawling corridors and small stalls with Navajo jewelry, mid century furniture, old Amish quilts, and well-arranged antiques. I bought a lot of my furniture here. And. Milk glass. Furnishings. Vintage clothing. An oversized handbag from the fifties. Rare American-made guitar parts and instruments. A collection of vintage trunks. Gorgeous hand-made face masks. On my most recent visit I noticed a sign that read one hundred percent of the proceeds from certain items goes directly to Veterans in the Antelope valley. +100. I bought a bunch of military hats and helmets as gifts for my military friends and family. Very cool guys. I really love shopping here. Everyone who works here is very nice. Fun antique mall with fair prices. We would definitely shop here again. We happened to be there during a sale event. Each booth was discounted, most by 20% but some were even better than that. We found several items priced fairly-- in fact, the only items I thought were seriously overpriced were some VHS tapes in this one booth ($8-10 for average movies). I bought something cute for my kitchen and my kid added a couple of trains to their train collection. read more

I had truly enjoyed all of my visits to Antiques Asylum over the years. So many great, vintage finds, that I display even today. I'm saddened and quite disgusted with what I recently found displayed in one of their vendor's sections and their response to it. Or, lack of a response. I commented about it on their Facebook page and my post was deleted. In this day and age, there is plenty of dispute over items that may or may not carry historical value, how/why/where they should or should not be displayed, and that can be debated all day long. But this item is a REPRODUCTION of America's racist history and someone is trying to profit from it. It is shameful, and it isn't the only one openly displayed in this section, in the corner adjacent to the restroom. Antique's Asylum - you should be embarrassed and ashamed to allow this to go on under your roof but it is clear to me that you condone it, as you quickly deleted my post about it. This place is a little gem. I drove here about 40 minutes away not knowing what to expect. We just like to look around these types of places for fun things from the past. Antique Asylum has a bit of everything. We love collecting old toys and collectibles. We certainly found a few. My 7 year old son also picked out a Hot Wheels car. When we were checking out the owner I can only assume, was so nice to my son and took him back to let him pick one more car out for free. He was so excited to get the other one he wanted too. That made his day. As a parent when you kid is happy that makes your day too. My son knows the value of a toy from a place like this compared to the ones in Walmart or somewhere. Even little Hot Wheels. He knows they are special because you can just go to any store and get certain ones so he really treasures those ones the most even though he's 7 years old and plays with them all. Well here goes... been a customer for a few years. I've never had any issues here. Staff for the most part has always been great except for recently. I've always spent more money than I needed to. Prices over the years have gone up but I I attribute that to the web and vendors looking up their items and mostly selling retail. Great job but we do need to remember this is an Antique place. Basically a second hand store. Some items are original but some are not. Anyways, my issue. Ive read a lot of reviews and over the years when people like something but the item might seem to be overpriced or if your just trying to get a better deal you ask and they call the vendor to see if they would be willing to lower the price. Well I called and I asked about an item. Large item and the lady basically yelled at me over the phone that they wouldn't. Not now because the seller had just placed the item out and it would need to be there for some time before they would call. I apologized for not knowing they had just placed it out. I waited a week and walked in and once again I got the 5th degree. The two older ladies behind the counter were just talking about personal stuff and when I stopped by and asked I guess I shouldn't have disturbed their conversation. I asked about the item and one of them just scolded me that they didn't have time to call the vendors. Basically they had 80 vendors and couldn't be on the phone all day asking for a discount. Hmmm. I was the only one asking. I told them I've been to other antique places in CA, AZ, UT, CO that are way bigger and they never refused to call a seller. They are making money and you're spending your hard earned money to support the business. If I remember correctly I've probably asked for a discount on some items when you buy a lot from a certain vendor. Didn't have an issue before. By the way I've saved all my receipts and spent well over $600 and that's just this year!! I know it shouldn't matter but I'm local and try to support local businesses but after this, I can take my money elsewhere. If they would have just taken the time to call and ask. If the vendor would have said No I would have been ok. But nowadays even 10% on large more expensive items is a better deal. I know tax it's the sellers problem but they are paying for the spot so not selling items doesn't help them and I have seen the same items there for years. I'm done shopping here. Customer Service!! The Antique Asylum is the gemstone of the Antelope Valley. I've shopped all over the country and still love coming home to the Antique Asylum. Their staff is always friendly & greets me with a smile. My favorite gal is a beautiful blonde who has helped me find some great gifts. The furniture is amazing and the price point is fantastic!! Estate quality, beautiful items from all over the country. They have a great collection of Eastlake furniture, again these prices are Not Pasadena prices. They also have a layaway plan which I've used many times over the year's for my big purchases. They have a wide variety of Antiques & Collectables. They have sales through out the year which is fantastic! The Antique Asylum is a must see on your list. It's a great place to relax and explore. My husband and I found a lot of cool and unique items here. They were having one of their annual sales so every booth was discounted. Very helpful staff. They even give you free water and snacks. We're not from the area and they recommended a local Mexican restaurant for lunch which turned out to be delicious . Looking for this place can get a little confusing! It's in a not so great are in Plamdale but don't let that stop you from coming here. As you walk in you might think it's either junk or treasures. The truth is you will find some unique, vintage, antique, must have items! You will find this place like a museum! So many cool items and some bring back memories. You will find stuff from early 1900 to present. I saw some photos from the early 1900 that were just very neat. There is also a booth with tapes and vinyl for collectors. I ran into some vintage dolls there as well. You have plenty of variety choices in furniture. Some look very gothic which I love very much. There is so much there to see and purchase. As you walk in on your right hand side there is a shelf with solution to clean your furniture. I use similar stuff to wipe my pieces at home and I highly recommend it. It helps with scratches, dull, dusty, furniture. I personally haven't used what they sell but I will soon. I spoke with the owner and his wife Julie and they were very nice. I'm considering renting one of their booths with my good friend. I read some of the comments about their rudeness and I personally did not experienced that at all. He took me for a little tour of the place and answered all my questions. This place is a must!!! Having a boring day and don't know where to go stop by and take a walk into this gem! I just discovered Antique Asylum and have visited a few times in the last 4 months. Great little antique mall with a great selection of price levels and items. The mall isn't huge but fun place and it's always easy for me to spend an hour or so looking around. The staff is nice and helpful. They seem to stock regularly each time I have been there I see new items and booths. They seem to have a little bit of this and that to offer. If you are in Palmdale you should go support them I think you may like it. read more

Fun finds, but be careful if buying multiple items. Staff totaled invoice wrong three times. Only when I kept insisting they recheck the math did their figure finally match mine. They were trying to overcharge my daughter by over $20. No apology was offered. Staff were eating as a group without masks right at the entry of the store. read more

I have been a customer of Antique Asylum for years. The owner, Paul, is a gem. He knows his stuff. The gals who work there are practically fixtures; they recognize regular customers and treat everybody well. The various dealers keep their booths clean, organized, and interesting. They mix things up to keep it fresh. The prices are decent and most of the dealers are willing to work with a serious buyer to make the sale.
