My father in law purchased a R59 battery from Jims Battery in Youngstown, Ohio . Never got to use the battery because it would never hold a charge. Charged the battery per their instructions (used 10 AMP  AMG charger and charged to 12.8 volts) and battery would run down just setting. After several phone calls he was told to return the battery. They never contacted him after they received the battery back so he called them after three weeks and Jim said the battery was fixed and was shipping the next day. Never received the battery , called after waiting two  more weeks and was told this time that the battery was bad and would not be covered under warranty because it was overcharged. ( which never happened). Out the cost of the battery plus return shipping as well as a lot of time and energy. Terrible business practices and a meaningless warranty. Find somewhere else to shop! Battery update: I have received my battery from Jim's Battery in Youngstown, Ohio. This is the new name for Antique Auto Battery. I ordered a Group 32N. The order was placed August 31, 2018. It was shipped October 1, 2018. I received it a couple of days later. The price was $280 + $46 shipping. I have not installed it yet. The $400 battery, for my 60's Corvette, failed within the first 60 days. I talked to Jim in Oct. of 2017. He said to ship it back and they'd get me a replacement within 2 weeks. Never showed up. Then he promised it by Thanksgiving. Then early December. Then Christmas. It's Jan. 31st 2018 and I've never received the return Battery. I've left more than a dozen voicemail messages and not once received a return call. This is the absolute worst experience I've ever had with a company. BTW, if you do need to talk to someone there, it seems between 8am and 8:30am local time is the only time they'll pick up. read more

THIS COMPANY SUCKS !!!!!!!! The battery failed within 120 days. I talked to Jim around Oct. of 2017. He said to ship it back and they'd get me a replacement within weeks. Never showed up. STAY AWAY--These people are the absolute worst, I can't believe they are still in business, I sent a warranty battery back as per their instructions, cost $50. and 2 hrs. to pack. I know they received it, I have called and left messages probably 50 times, have e-maild and even looked up the corp. principle and tried to call him, phone disconnected, go figure. I've been rebuilding antique and replica cars for years, some domestic and some foreign. I had been purchasing my batteries from another company but found Antique Auto Battery at a car show in PA. I have had nothing but good experience and in fact Jim was able to advise me on some wiring issues I had. Turns out I would have fried some electrics had I not listened to him. Customer service was great, the one return I made was without issue and I was even able to pick up a replacement in person at their Youngstown plant. Good company. read more

after purchasing two ford 32ppb and one 24ppb. i thought i found a battery company that i could depend on (wrong) they fail to communicate. i paid to return battery twice and the shipping was never refunded the shipping cost. in my oppinion they suck at business. no one ever returns phone calls. no one at this place has a clue to what's going on. i recommend you save a lot of time and money and shop elsewhere. i have talked to christine, mary, alice, robin and jim. i'v be doing old cars for many years and this company is the at the bottom of my list. please save your money. they alway's have a stupid excuse when you call. don't believe the bs. read more
