There was nothing actually wrong with the defrosting mechanism itself. I am very grateful I did not have to purchase a new rear windshield, it saved me a considerable amount of money that I didn't have to spend. I did replace the front windshield as it has a crack in it from interstate driving in Ohio. It was very reasonable and does the job. I appreciate the excellent customer service and honesty!

This seems absurd since the complaint was about their location and the fact that they told me it was warranty, then lied and said they would not stand by their word, and then wanted to put it against my insurance again. Safelite used to be a great company. I assume margins and greed have taken over your ethics. Now my car sits going on three weeks with busted windshield.

When cars were done my husband tried to tell the tech have a good day and he walked away and didnt even acknowledge him. We came here because ive been a customer in the past and never had an issue. 1. Not having the knowledge to know the difference between AWD and FWD - not good if youre in the vehicle repair business. 2. Not offering any kind of apology when it was YOUR mistake, just bad manners. 3. Walking away and not acknowledging a customer who was polite but pointed out your mistake and told you that you were wrong - unprofessional. We wont be back.

The shims they used were wrong, the way they were installed was wrong. The correct after-market shim should have been a full-contact shim. But then again the underlying problem should have been fixed first. They were going to charge the customer $158 for this on top of the alignment charge. If this is how they do their alignments you have to wonder how they do other services. I'm a retired ASE-certified tech with over 50 years of experience and ran a shop for over 25 years. I ask for customer feedback good or bad. instead, this shop asked the customer and me to leave and never come back! I would have apologized to the customer and replaced the broken bearing and depending on the tech's experience I would have retrained or fired.
