My sister really wanted to check out Antiques Emporia after seeing an advertisement for sea glass items being sold there, so my mom, my sister and I headed there Friday morning. We had a bit of trouble finding a free parking spot, but we finally found one a few blocks away (there is also a paid lot a block away). When we entered, there were tons of adorable tea items. Tea cozies, loose tea, tea pots, tea cups, tea sets, etc. Since all 3 of us love tea, we were excited. The rest of the store was divided into sections, and each section had a different seller's items. One was completely overrun and basically looked like an old person had cleaned out their attic and shoved it into the space. Across from it, the seller's area was arranged nicely and we loved the items- my mom bought a Snickerdoodle candle ($15) and I bought a bracelet for $8. Some sellers had books, movies (DVDs and VHS), jewelry, dog/cat themes, purses, pocket knives, and I even saw a sword for $130. They also had silver coins for sale. It was a lot of fun walking through the store and checking everything out, since it was all so eclectic. Visited this store today - Labor Day. The store was closing early, which we respected, but the lady staffing the emporia was very gruff about the store closing. She could not have been more rude as she was checking us out. If she did not want to be bothered with customers, then don't open the store. We left there very disgusted and disappointed. We went next door to another lovely antique store where we were welcomed and made to feel important as a customer. Suggest you take a lesson from them about how to treat your customers. Our experience with you is not the way to make visitors feel good about coming to a resort area. read more

My husband and I have so much fun shopping here!! I always find so many different things. Some items are unique and old and some are new and modern. My boys like to hunt for hot wheels here as well. The music is always pleasant and it's a beautiful escape to just wander around the store looking at all the unique and interesting items. This store really is the heart of Cape May. The ladies who work the front desk are always helpful when we need something. Sometimes we find rare and beautiful treasures. Other times we buy a toy for the kids. If you need something for your house or a gift for someone, this is a wonderful place to find something unique and special. The teas here are fabulous as well. There are so many things there to help you with entertaining new guests or maybe finding things to make yourself. What a wonderful store. read more

I WILL NEVER BE BACK! When I got to the shop I noticed a "no public restroom" sign on the door but didn't give it a thought. 10 - 15 minutes into shopping I had the need to use the restroom. While checking out I asked the owner, I believe, to do me a big favor and please allow me to use the restroom as I explained I suffer from prostate cancer. The answer was a swift no but that I could walk to CVS quite a ways up the street. I let her know I would never be back. I 'm 65 years old and certainly don't look like someone who would disrespect someone else's property. Please shop somewhere where service and hospitality is practiced. read more

At one time this was one of Cape May's better antique shops but is now mostly collectibles and garage sale type items. It has been years since I have purchased anything here and I stop in only occasionally as the inventory does not seem to be reverting back to what it once was. read more

They have a nice selection of very and many random things. There's just might literally be something for everyone here. I ended picking out some nice vintage pins that I'm going to use for my jewelry since I'm starting to venture into vintage inspired looks. The most random thing that sticks out in my mind is the Alchemy Gothic stuff they had. Wasn't expecting that one. I will be coming back if I'm in the area again. read more

Good selection and diversity, but not really what I was interested in. Most items were traditional, victorian, or just old (like books).
