My family are from Crete so I've always…read morestopped in to see if there happen to be any old family post cards of ancestral photos that have maybe made their way into the shop, or anything of their old neighbors. You'll definitely need at least an hour and a half to make it through the whole marketplace, because it's jam packed with antiquities. The room you initially enter was originally built in 1853 and was the First Congregational Church of Crete. You can see this in the architecture and the stained glass windows which still bear the names of the family's who paid for the windows. Most of my postcard collection comes from this shop, as they always have some of the most beautiful and unique vintage postcards I've ever seen. The pricing has gone up a bit I've noticed, but not to anything unreasonable. If you visit in summer, the front is a bit warmer than as you make your way throughout, but still worth the visit. They have all kinds of little bits and bobs everywhere, and there's something for everyone there. I'm looking forward to my next visit home so my dad and I can go Christmas shopping.

UPDATE: i went to the shop again to talk to sherry which was the mean employee and there was a new…read morelady there! she was the sweetest lady i have met her name was kathy i told her about it and she was so sweet and understanding and said she will talk to sherry because that was not okay wish every employee was this sweet! if you come here i recommend going on these days this is when kathy works wednesday thursday 4-7 saturday all day sunday 12-4 (old review) if i could rate this place zero stars i would‼‼ the lady who runs the store is so insanely rude, this was barely our second time in this shop we couldn't afford anything the first time unfortunately but this time i was in the shop with my boyfriend because i love antique and vintage items we were window shopping for the meantime to give him ideas of what to get me not kissing not hugging or anything we were in there for 30 minutes and keep in mind i was being very polite to her and smiling and i asked her what time they close and she said 7 and 20 minutes later she very confrontationally asked "i have to ask do you plan on staying till 7" which obviously not? and we went to the next section already uncomfortable seeing as she stares at us the entire time with a smug look on her face and 10 minutes later she went to us and while raising her voice said "okay you two out! youve done this to me before this isnt your place to be kissing and hugging get out now!" and i explained to her "we weren't doing anything" and she said "out now" and we left and im a sensitive person and that made me cry im a very polite person she had no reason to act that way towards us just because we are a young couple doesnt mean we are going to be kissing 24/7 i don't even allow public displays of affection she was very rude and fyi she never has customers its been over a month since i went before today and there was the exact same items as last time she only ever gets customers because of her slot machines. zero stars!!!

Did a yelp search for this place sincewe love thrift shops and vintage finds. Found quite a few gems here for my home decor. The prices were very reasonable in comparison to many of the vintage/antique stores in general. I live about an hour away from here but I will come back to see what new stuff they have! The staff was very friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful as well. If you are looking for vintage gems at reasonable prices, they are definitely worth checking out.

Yep- that's right, they are open NY day! First of all, this place is huge! You might think you've seen it all, but then go to the far right, past the Eatery, and you will find a whole other wing to check out. I've spent hours upon hours looking at each vendors "booth" and the cabinet cases to the far left front of the store. I've purchase things from jewelry, to gilded mirrors, gold antique letter stands, wall shelving unit, and an animal skull. But I've also purchased fudge, fried pickle mix, and bourbon carmel sauce. This place has everything you need. One thing I must point out, is some of the booths have modern items, things you can buy from Amazon. So, not everything is antique or even used/second hand. But I think overall, there is a good mix. I go for the antiques primarily, but I have found myself looking at some of the modern stuff that has antique style. I love when I walk in around holidays and see booths with sale signs. I try to go straight for those, because that's when I find I get the best deal. And almost always when things are on sale, you get the best value for your money. That's not to say that I don't buy things when they aren't on sale, I will. I just get excited when I'm bleach to spend less. But be wary, one time there was a sale sign with the correct dates but when I brought the item to the front, they admitted they must have printed the wrong sign because there was no sale listed for that booth in their computer. I always double check now before buying things. Another thing to note, if you find an item and it doesn't have a sale price on it, take note of what the booth number is and where in the booth you found it, then bring it to the front. They can contact the booth vendor for you to ask what the price is. Logistics: - there is always parking- the lot is big - there are not always carts to shop (they have run out more times than not) - the people working are very nice and helpful - if you get hungry while shopping, they have eatery32 inside on the right. Then to top it off...they sell the dust bags (that are free if you order the real ones from the actual Jellycat website) just to try to make them look more authentic. If you sell a fake product you should clearly state that, but no matter what IT SHOULD NEVER BE MORE THAN THE REAL PRODUCT. How terrible can you be to be making a buck ripping children off? These ppl should be ashamed of themselves.

The store seems to be divided in a few different areas. One area is a thrift store area and there are other areas that are consignment areas. The consignment areas may have new items, vintage items, or collectible thrift items.

It's July (so it's Hell Hot) We just got home from Uncle Johns Flea Market but will never go back…read more Not because of the vendors or the merchandise' but because parked in the beating sun, was an old rusted red truck with TWO very large dogs panting inside. I could see they were desperately hot and drooling. We asked several people where to get help. Everyone seemed to be aware of the problem and gave directions to the owners of the property, who were driving around in a golf cart. When I found them, they said they notified the dogs owners but that was it. I called the police and prayed they'd come and remove the dogs. The owners got very snippy and threatening when I told them more needed to be done to either remove the dogs or remove the owner from their market, because they were accessories to the crime if they didn't do more to get the dogs removed, or worse, if they died. It's disgusting how greed outweighs the protection of innocent voiceless animals. Dogs hate hot weather just as many of us do, and their wearing fur, they Don't need to be stuffed in an un air conditioned, vinyl seated car, parked with the full sun beating through the windshield or any car in this July heat. I can't support anyone who puts money/profits over lives.
