Terrible place to do business with. Doesn't even deserve one star. I had to call 3 times to get them to pick up furniture and they never returned phone calls or text messages. Wanted to charge me 100.00 to pick up furniture. They sell it for the bare minimum and give you half. They have a book shelf of mine for over six months in great condition. I have to keep calling to follow up. They sell merchandise and don't cut you a check. They wait til you call and ask it the items sold yet. Do yourself a favor, stay away from this place. read more

PROS - Great place to go for used or vintage furniture, Crystal, Art, knick knacks.....a little of literally everything. It's PACKED with stuff, and they get new stuff each day. Prices are fair and the owner has taken offers on items I've purchased. CONS - Because it is STUFFED with merchandise and horribly arranged and displayed it can be hard to find anything. Artwork is ridiculously jammed into this wooden rack. Good things get broken. Customer service is NON EXISTENT! I've had the owner greet me when I've gone but every other employee will ignore you so you're on your own. They rent UHauls now and that seems to be the focus of the counter staff. read more

stuffed to teh gills with furniture. nearly all of it lovely for the prices. i picked up 2 wicker chairs- dark brown , in great shape for my yard for $9 a peice. $9! New they would have been over a hundred each. They also had the same metal wood benchs you see for $75 at home depot for $25. They have some great stained glass windows for reasonable prices. Just got off the phone with a guy named Joe who said he was the manager, who was as rude as they come when I attempted to ask questions about furniture delivery. He cut me off at every turn, wasn't helpful at all, seemed to make things up as he went along, had no customer service skills at all. It was as if he didn't want or care for my business. The best way to ruin your reputation and lose referral money is to treat callers like crap. Stay away from here. You'll be disappointed. I never spend money where the service is crappy. read more

Sell it Again Sam did my moving sale and is now consigning some of my pieces. During the staging/pricing/sale process they always answered my phone calls and called me with questions about some items. They dialogued with me about pricing. (because this was a moving sale and not an auction prices of items ultimately did reflect that). They were a small team of two who worked very hard to organize my 35+ years of "stuff". The sale was held over 2 days and all of the staff involved were honest and hard working. They "cleared out " following the sale and some items are on consignment at their shop. Having a moving sale is always stressful. You are allowing people to walk all over your house for weeks during the prep and sale. You get pennies on the dollar for your items as is typical of any moving sale. Those variables you cannot control. What I was most concerned with was honesty and integrity and I was happy with those aspects. They made me feel more at ease during a stressful time. This business could do a LOT MORE business with better management and if they returned phone calls. I've called them at least 6 times to pick up and sell truly quality furniture from my home. They have done nothing!!! If you are in the business of picking up quality items and re-selling then why on earth would you not even give a potentially good consignor the courtesy of a call back ?? A friend told me to try Sell It Again Sam as I was trying to empty my parents house due a death. I gave them a perfect-condition Ethan Allen hutch cabinet, solid wood table with extension, six chairs and a few more living room pieces. I could not believe the low prices they gave me so I asked them to adjust them so I could get something decent for the furniture. The adjustment was hardly worth the effort. I found the staff not very pleasant to work with and unavailable . I tried to follow up on the sale of two winged back chairs and they never answered by calls to this day. I would not recommend them to anyone. Resale does not mean give it away and my items were high quality and should have been priced as such. read more

My husband tried to have a number of items picked up, there was a ton of confusion and miscommunication. In the end--no pick up and no call, even from the manager/owner. Just a bunch of wasted time and bad feelings. Wish it could have been different, but I am really disappointed and embarrassed to have wasted my husband and my father in law's time with this business. I would not recommend only because of this. Seems a shame because I had a great experience with my own parents' belongings. They were responsive and respectful with their items and I feel like it was a pretty good deal. This was my first experience with consignment but sad to say, I won't be returning to Sell it Again Sam. read more

Like any used furniture, hit or miss. BUT, what they do have is pretty nice and fairly priced. Picked up some mint Mario Lanza LPs for $1 each and a vintage curio cabinet for about $120! We'll definitely keep checking back to see what else they get in! read more

Sell It Again used to be a in cramped storefront in a Matteson strip mall. In 2013 they moved straight south to a freestanding building (12,000 s.f.! ) on Governor's in Richton Park. There is a ton of inventory here and best of all they let you snoop around their unloading dock, where stuff is coming in (wow! what's that!?) and (damg! you missed it!) going out. There are interesting odds and ends but they specialize in sets -- and a lot of BIG furniture -- couches and wall units galore, bedroom sets, dining room sets, kids' room sets. There are multiple rooms to wander around including the back. They are now open on Sundays, which was smart. And if you are here, don't forget to stop in the smaller companion store, owned by "Sam's" brother, Danny, just south of this location on the other side of the street. It's got a less inspired named (Quality Used Furniture) but ironically, a few more quirks and when you see the stacked to the gills look of both places, you'll spot the family resemblance right away. read more

This place is like a giant year 'round estate sale. They have tons of cool and interesting furniture and home goods stashed all over. Everything from a room full of lamps to exercise equipment to a hallway of books. Prices seem retail oriented but the items are generally clean and almost retail quality. The experience is also clean and safe. You don't have the feeling that furniture will topple over, and claustrophobics are safe here. If you see something you like act fast, it won't last long. read more

I sold a King sized bed, dresser and nightstand. They charged me $60 to pick up the furniture which I thought was bit pricy but my new bedroom set was coming the next day so I had no choice. The guys were nice. They also make minor repairs to furniture free of charge to help you get the most for your furniture which is a plus. When they received an offer for my furniture they called me to ask if I approved of the sales price. The store keeps 50% of the sales price. So after the sale they mailed me a check for approximately $325. If you include the $60 dollar I was charged for delivery I only netted $265 from the sale which really isn't much. Next time I will probably try selling my furniture on my own first before selling here again. However, if you are looking to purchase for something for your home and you want to save money this is a good place to start. read more

STEAL IT AGAIN, SAM! In March of 2018 I had 1.5 truckloads of furniture and household goods picked up by this company (SIAS) for consignment sale. I paid for the pick up. Some of the items were sold by the realtor prior to even being picked up, though SIAS was paid their share. After about 2 months and numerous phone calls and a lot of excuses ("the check came back in the mail," "I was in the hospital," "family emergency," etc) I received a check for items sold. Now, approximately 15 months later and at least 15 phone calls and many promises to call back, to mail checks and all the same excuses (the admin lady who I worked with must have a family emergency and a hospital stay nearly every week according to my records) I have been promised a check in the mail (she even verified the address) and a tracking number to monitor it.....except so far, no check, no tracking number and of course, no one answering the phone. I have been shopping here for years, and have several pieces of furniture in my home from Sam's. I love the variety they have, feeling at home when I shop here, it is clean, and they have constant inventory turnover. I live in Northwest Indiana and make the 40 minute trip here because it is well worth it. read more

Very disappointed. Your word is everything. I decided to purchase four chairs and a couch. One of the owners working there quoted me a price. I told her I would think about it. She actually called me back and left a voicemail that she would sell me the couch for a reduced price. I drove back two days later but staff told me they couldn't sell it to me until they checked with higher management. So I stuck around, waited an hour, came back for a third time, still he had no answer. Well, he calls me back after two hours to tell me it was a mistake and she shouldn't have offered me that price because she didn't check with the consignor. Well, that was a lie, because I inquired about where the consignor purchased the couch and she called the consignor while I was standing in the store! Bad business practice! I won't be back. You should always, always honor whatever price is advertised or promised. No worries though. I purchased a better couch from honest people. read more

Prices vary widely here. I have purchased small tables, etc for under $50, and paid $200 for a beautiful cherry buffet that was in perfect condition and would have cost 3 or 4 times that much had I purchased it new. I have also found some really nice oil paintings that I paid $20 or $30 for. I have heard that people are unhappy when they take things there to sell, but my guess is they are not realistic about the market value of out-of-date furniture. It may be excellent quality and in great condition, but if the style is not popular right now, it will not sell. (Nobody is paying much for 1980s bleached oak or dark Mediterranean style furniture regardless of quality and condition, because it just doesn't sell.). However, they have a large selection, reasonable prices, and inexpensive delivery service. Great antique, vintage and newer pieces. I enjoy shopping there and have found some great bargains over the years. read more
