We were in the area playing golf at the nearby Garland Resort. Lewiston has only 1,289 residents so we felt fortunate to find a real 'Mom & Pop' pizza place right here in the heart of town. I washed down my pizza with a can of Vernors, a unique Michigan brand of Ginger Ale. It has been true classic of the Mitten State since it was first brewed in Detroit 141 years ago in 1880.
