Sentry was a company I had heard of but never had any business with so I wasn't sure what to expect because I knew they'd be busy, as we were obviously not the only people affected by the storm. Not to mention, I live about an hour from Norman where they're based out of. Blake answered the phone and surely heard the desperation in my voice (can't sell a tornado damaged home!). He had one of his foreman at my house THAT DAY to assess the damage and estimate what it would take to repair. Very quick and very responsive. Here's where Blake separated himself from the other contractors I spoke with... after insurance had their inspector come out they tried skimping out on us big time. I was given a laughable report! 40 shingles, 12 sq ft of siding, yada yada.. I'm no roofing expert but from the ground with the naked eye I knew that wasn't accurate. Blake was completely honest and transparent from the get go. He assured me I needed a complete roof replacement (which I had already thought myself) and that there was much more damage that needed addressing. A thorough professional in my eyes. He took it upon himself to help deal with the insurance company and get another inspection done with his guidance. The tone seemed to change afterwards and we were scheduled for all our repairs immediately. I will do my best to remember to update this review with pictures after the repairs. Thank you Blake! He helped us navigate the insurance process, including denials, for over 3 months. He tarped it during the multitudes of storms we received as well. Once approved, less than a week, and we are enjoying our new, beautiful, well-crafted roof! He never spoke down to us, respected our time and needs, and walked with us completely. During the installation, the team was equally respectful and efficient. At the conclusion, you would never have known they were there. Everything was returned to its original places, not a bit of trash or product remaining, and the only sign was the new roof! They cut out the dead parts that needed to be removed, removed all of the hangers i had from years of ice storms and then did a nice clean and trim. Unfortunately we LEARNED AN EXPENSIVE LE$$ON. Key points in this review *Appointment moved back a day because Elliott roofing had to move it. (24 hrs notice) *Crew late - appointment was for morning - showed up at 5 mins til 5pm. I called to confirm they were coming every hour after 12 noon. *Nails left in yard (My two toddlers in my backyard daily) *Shingles mismatched -Very noticable (see pictures) So at the end of the day did our roof get repaired.... Yes. Did it fix the leak...still to be determined as it hasn't rained. If it needs repaired again I will update this review. Sadly we used Elliott roofing after I trusted the words that the guy who inspected it (Hollis) and sold me on his company. I was sure we would get great service and a great job done. He explained that the shingles would be very close to where we wouldn't notice a difference in the shingles. However when the crew showed up and they argued about the shingles being the wrong color.... I don't speak great Spanish but I did catch that. -1 Star The nervous me started calling on the hour after noon struck and I hadn't heard or seen anything of a crew being late or even coming at all.
