The folks running the trailer were really nice, and when I ordered my earl grey tea, I asked them what they thought would be a good flavor addition. (He said vanilla syrup for a touch of sweetness, and I think they also added extra earl grey syrup, which they make themselves!) And you know what? It tasted exactly like fruity pebbles! Weird, but cool! I also ordered the cortado, and it came in a tiny cup. Adorable. It was delicious and was just the right viscosity, not watery. It was the definition of Tiny but Mighty. The public seating area allowed me to sit and enjoy the scenery, and watch the patrons with their dogs come and go. A very peaceful visit.

The gentleman who took my order was incredibly knowledgeable and provided excellent customer service. I ordered the Sam's Sip which is a honey lavender latte with soft top and it was perfectly made. If you prefer a sweeter drink, you can even ask for it a little extra sweet. This has officially become my go to spot whenever I'm in the area. It's a coffee truck located in the parking lot of an auto repair shop, but don't let that fool you because it's definitely worth checking out!

Southbound Coffee was literally right up the road, so we stopped by and checked them out. I told them about my cortado thing and they were really excited to be next on my list. We had a brief chat about our favorite coffee spots before I scooched over for the next customer in line. I ordered the cortado and the Spellbound, and my sister got a Spice Spice Baby, and a Mexican Mocha for my brother in law. The cortado (despite being served in a paper cup) was pretty mild and nutty, with good viscosity. I really liked the aftertaste and it was somehow even better when I got home. The spellbound was quite enchanting. I thought I tasted lavender but the flavor description was Mexican vanilla and ube. Curiouser and curiouser! Regardless, it was light, delicious, and ethereal. I really enjoyed our visit to Southbound Coffee and I look forward to my next visit.

The Tres Leches cold brew reminds me of merienda with my family in Brownsville, despite us usually not having cold coffee - haha. But the flavors were delicious. The coffee was strong, but still had that "flavored latte" taste I tend to enjoy on a hot day. That tres leches foam is truly a delight. If I lived closer, I'd probably be here every day they're open. However, now that I know that they're really good, I may have to make some frequent stops.

The cortado was good, the beans used were more on the fruity/juicy/slightly acidic side whereas I'm more of a chocolatey, nutty, roasty flavor note kinda gal but I surprisingly really enjoyed it, maybe because the rest of the cortado was relatively nicely made. It wasn't watery and the crema wasn't foamy, either. It also didn't have the paper cup flavor most hot drinks end up getting when served in a to-go paper cup. The wildflower honey cinnamon latte was refreshing. It was light on both flavors, and not overwhelmingly sweet. I could still taste the coffee. Service with a smile, too - they were very friendly. A very pleasant morning.
