Found this restaurant on YELP! Ordered a grilled chicken sandwich. The sandwich is not too bad but nothing extraordinary neither. It's something I could make at home!

    the receipt

Overpriced garbage food with staff who screw up your orders not the first time. I ordered 40 plain wings since a diabetic was eating over and sauce on the side and they dressed all wings with honey garlic. They were inedible and I had to throw them out. When I called to complain they offer a credit. I will never step foot in this establishment again. I do not want a credit. I want them to etransfer me the funds for my wings back to me. Also we ordered pizza that tasted like garbage. The panzos were so soggy and revolting they were inedible literally. Do not even bother food is garbage and that is literally where it ended up.

Favourite spot for panzorotti. Portion size is on the smaller side. Price is a little expensive at $14. However flavour is there!

And the grilled peppers are from the glass jars. But the spinach's was fresh as was the basil. Pizza dough was really nice. Super thin and well done. The spanakopita triangles were terrible though. Costco grade and super expensive. It was burned and cold. $1.50 each was a rip off. If they had them at 2 for a dollar I might consider but only if they didn't burn them and if they were warm. Otherwise don't waste your money on these. Will I go back? Yes. I strongly recommend calling your order in advance as they make the pizza fresh and it takes a while. Also note they have a rewards system that if flaky. The app doesn't work that well.

They still use the old WiFi network & it says Pepe Pizza on the outside of the building. The Pepe website is still active too & doesn't mention the change. Medium parma alfredo was very cheesy & the cheese was gooey. I didn't notice the parmesan; maybe it was mixed in but I didn't taste it. The edge was a puffy crust & the main body had a very nice texture - light & crisp. It degraded after 10 minutes though, becoming floppy & losing the crisp. The sauce was supposed to be alfredo but was a red sauce which was decent. It came with cherry tomatoes; those & the arugula were decent. "Parma ham" was the thickest parma ham ever but was otherwise decent. The pizza came on a plate with paper which got cut up by the knife. Service is functional.

Nice crust with a good chew. Good amount of toppings. Really solid New York style pizza. Dave Portnoys pizza review went to their downtown location and gave it a 8.4 if you follow him. There was no parking on Avenue but I found some parking on the residential street just North of the restaurant. The inside is really nice with comfy seating. Not a ton of seating but I think they get a lot of takeout. Service was good but I did have to wait more than the 20 mins they said as they seemed to be dealing with online orders.

This includes the pepperoni, cheese, Frank's best, and spicy vodka pepperoni. Service here is super friendly, the spot is clean with staff constantly wiping tables and the floors during the winter time. I got a whole dr. pepperoni slice with extra cheese and it came piping hot, cooked perfectly and so delicious. Also got slices of their spicy vodka which is my favourite and a full 5/5 for me. Frank's best is a great change in flavour with goat cheese, mozz, caramelized onions, rosemary, organic honey and a sesame crust. Don't forget to also get their spicy creamy garlic dip and mix it well! Overall, I love this spot and think their pizzas are so good! Their crusts are delicious as well, especially the sesame crust.

Pizzas come in 12 (4 slices) and 16 inch (8 slices). There is also a square pizza called a Tavern Cut. Pizza is on the more expensive side. We order a 12 and 16 inch with 1 dipping sauce and the bill was over 70 bucks with tax. We got takeout so no eating in. Pizza was ordered online and picked up. What was ordered: 16 inch Fred's Best - white pizza with béchamel sauce, goat cheese, caramelized onions with a sesame coated crust attached with honey 12 inch Dr.Pepperoni - fresh tomato sauce with generous topping of pepperoni 1 spicy creamy garlic dip The verdict? The crust was decent and pizzas are thin. We did find both pizzas a little too greasy for our preference. The flavour of Fred's Best was a combination of sweet from the honey and caramelized onions and salty from the cheese. Dr. Pepperoni was better with spicy kick from the chunks of tomatoes and pepperoni. Salty is the other descriptor I would use. Would we order again? Maybe. At these prices I would consider this special occasion pizza!

However I was disappointed to see them not following COVID protocols (i.e. wearing masks). I will usually order an individual combo for myself which is 10 wings, fries, & a pop drink. This comes to $8.20, which is mind-blowing and I'll let you know why in a bit. The second option for party nights or UFC fight nights is their combo 3. It includes a large pizza (3 toppings, cheese included), 20 chicken wings, garlic bread, & 4 cans of pop. With all of this food, it will cost you $26.55. Their garlic sauce will cost you $0.25 extra. Starting with the pizza, it is not the best. However with the garlic sauce, it boosts the flavour. The dough is not too thick nor thin and is cooked well to my liking. The toppings does a decent job of holding the pizza to an average standard. This is a perfect pizza for a group of friends who are looking to save money and supporting a local business. Let's move on to the wings. I believe all of their flavours are consistent and appetizing. My favourite goes head to head between mild and BBQ. The mild sauce has a zest and a hint of heat. While the BBQ sauce has some tang and sweetness, not the original smokey flavour. Another plus, is that you will NEVER get raw wings, they will always be 100% cooked and that is a guarantee. Lastly, the sides I get are fries and garlic bread. The fries are similar to Costco fries, which is completely fine with me since I love the texture. The garlic bread gives me an old school vibe filled with nice garlicky and crispy bread. There's an option to add cheese to the garlic bread, but I believe it's best when hot - so do not save this for the next day. -TwoHappyThumbs

This rating is based on a casual dining restaurant experience…read more 3 of us came in for dinner on a Thursday night. I made the reservation in advance and wasn't sure what to expect. The place has been here for years but this was my first visit. It's located in a plaza on the south side of Hwy 7 so there's private parking. As you come in, there's the bar and the entrances to both the main and private party dining rooms. We were quickly greeted and given our choice of seating in either room, as the private party room had only a small birthday party in a little section. We could enjoy a colder temperature in the private room, or average room temperature in the main room where it would be less noisy. We chose the main room and it wasn't uncomfortable. Our host provided our menus and gave a choice of bottled, mineral, or tap water. Tap water in stemmed glasses with ice was fine with us. To my surprise, it came with a full basket of complimentary bread, butter and spicy oil. I have not seen this for years and we appreciated it. We ordered a rice balls (4 pcs) appetizer which came with marinara. They were a good size and had some cheese pull. Our entrees were a Ricky pizza (one of their 20 specialty pizzas); chicken parmigiana; and home made pappardelle with chicken and pesto cream sauce. Our orders were served within a few minutes of each other, all huge, and piping hot. We were offered additional grated cheese tableside. Besides our host, the owner (I assume) came round to serve my husband's Montecristo cocktail and wish him a happy birthday. He continued to check in along the way as well. This restaurant reminds me of being in Calabria at eateries just like this, meaning, the Italian equivalent of the British neighbourhood pub experience. There are families with children who may roam, groups of ladies getting together for a meal, singles having their pizza and beer after work, all in a space that somehow makes you aware of being connected in your mealtime. The food is what you may remember enjoying as a kid at your Italian friend's house: nonna's home made everything, from the bread and oil to the pasta and tomato sauce. It's not fancy, it's plentiful and hearty home food. The tomato sauce is fresh, exactly what all my family produces from their own jarred tomatoes. My chicken was cooked through without being dry. The pizza was nicely crisp and charred, straight from their wood oven. The pesto cream pappardelle was delicious, with plentiful pieces of grilled chicken. Both my daughter and I had half our meals left to enjoy later. You can order half portions for half the price. My husband managed to devour his whole pizza. He even ate the crust - which he never does. We didn't order wine or dessert as that was waiting at home. I didn't think to check if they offer any prosecco besides the basic wine list but their website is very well done, so I will look again, because I would definitely return. It will be like being back in my family town in Italy.
