Untrustworthy & unprofessional customer service. I was gifted a patio umbrella for Christmas & waited till spring to have it assembled. It wasn't until the technicians began that we discovered an important piece is missing so the job had to be postponed. The company wanted to charge me $250 for "canceling" & then another $450 to come back to complete the assembly. I said $700 for an umbrella installation is out of price range so they charged me $350. When I called back to find out why the $100 more, I was told it was because I was not having them come back so he charged me the full standard cancelation rate per their "contract" which by the way, is referring to their email, I signed no contract with them. I called because I was far too lazy to build a bookshelf by myself. Plus the thing was huge and I don't even know where my tools are. The guy on the line was very helpful, asked all the necessary questions, and had someone booked to come to my place in two days. Easy. My only complaint is that I was told they would get there between noon and 4. Pretty broad window; sure, it's no cable company who only gives you the date and you're expected to wait around in your pajamas, but still I was hoping for more specificity. Then...they showed up at 5. That's the complaint. But they actually managed to build the whole thing in 2 hours, which means I essentially paid the minimal hourly rate. They unpacked everything, brought their own tools, put the bookshelf nicely against the wall, then disposed of all the packaging. All of this was done with no supervision and while I continued to watch a marathon of Law and Order. I will absolutely use them again for all my assembly needs. I just might have to be prepared to wait around a bit longer. read more

My wife and i trekked to ikea for some bookshelves that wouldn't fit in our vehicle . We left and i looked up services where they could pick up my order and assemble and install my bookshelves . We found the number for Any Assembly and we were impressed right from the start . These guys did it all. They picked up the order, assembled off site and then delivered and installed our bookcases ! I am Sooo very happy with the choice to call and hire Any Assembly. I bought a rather elaborate playhouse/swing set/climber for the grandkids. I saw this company assembling a baskeball hoop across the street from my house and they seemed actually happy and pleased with the outcome so I thought I'll give it a whirl. They picked up on the first try, the quote was immediate. They were out and the item assembled and installed correctly within 48 hours. All I can saw is WOW, I know that swing set isn't going anywhere because I sat on it and gave it a try before putting cutting the crazy kids loose on it. I'll be going back to Any Assembly every time I order something that needs assembly because I really appreciated their fast response, the professionalism and if left to me, (I know my limitations on following directions) I'd be drunk in the front yard throwing tools around, cussing and the task would never get completed..... I hear the neighbors don't like that type of behavior so it's a win win for everyone! read more

Absolutely the worst experience. I used Any Assembly before and it was fine. They got the couch down my stairs a few years ago. Now that we are moving out I scheduled them to come the day before my movers come to get the couch upstairs. Window of service was 8-12. I had another appointment at 1230, so had to leave at noon. They told me if it was closer to noon I could let them in and they would do the job and I'd return to lock up the house. Around 1145 they called and said they had a flat tire and couldn't make it on time but could come later in the afternoon. I asked if there would be a discount for the inconvenience (I had paid to put my dogs in boarding during the time they were supposed to be there - so at this point they are costing me money). The man I spoke to was very rude and said absolutely not - it's not his problem I have dogs. I told him it was HIS problem they weren't there on time and he was costing me money I didn't need to spend otherwise. We set up a time for 2:00 and then I pushed it to 245 to give them more time. They didn't show up. I called again and they said they took another job and now would be no later than 5:00. I asked why they didn't prioritize this job given my window was 8-12. No legitimate answer. I just called again and he's now saying after 5 pm. This is absolutely ridiculous and not the way to do business and then expect someone to pay $400. TERRIBLE customer service. Go with another company that actually shows up on time. This company has totally screwed us over. read more

This company only cared about money. First they said the hourly rate can be pro rate to half an hour, which came out to be a lie. After the technician was done, he tried to get the full hourly-rate for 20 minutes. However, as I had proof that Aziz promised a half-hourly rate, they created a charge called idle time, because the appt. time was from 6-8 but we came home at 6:17. But before they started the service, I asked if it would start at 6:20. The technician agreed, not mentioning any late charge. When we got the final bill, that idle charge was initially $50, then increased to $100 (for 20 minutes late). They manipulated that charge to the extend that if we agreed to pay them for full 2 hours of service instead of 1.5 hour, they would take that charge away. In the end, we had to pay for the guy to leave and I was utterly disappointed at how these people treated their clients. I would never want to use their service. If anyone thinks on using their service, please make sure to have them spell out all the potential charges and rates. read more

After getting a quote from another company to do what it takes to get our our air-mattress sofa bed up through a narrow choke point in the stairs, up to the guest bedroom in our 'new' old house, my husband did some sleuthing and found Any Assembly. He had to leave the room and couldn't bear to watch our nice sofa being torn apart, but low and behold - it's in our guest room, looks like it was never touched - AND they were willing (for an appropriate fee, of course) to get my dresser out of the living room and through the same set of stairs up into the bedroom - after TWO sets of movers (and we) couldn't get it done. Very professional and efficient. We needed a basketball hoop (professional model) put together. The instructions were from hell, the hardware was not well organized/ marked at all and the whole thing looked like it would take two days to assemble. We contacted Any assembly- Mr Aziz got back with a quote promptly and showed up in a day once we agreed on the cost. Him and two of his men put the basketball in less than an hour. She showed me how to work the lever and even made a suggestion that instead of using the sand I should go with the base gel to make our lives easier. I recommend Any Assembly. I bought two pieces of solid wood furniture. I contacted Any Assembly a day or two before I wanted the furniture assembled, and they were able to take the job, which was after-work hours. Answered my email very promptly. They arrived at my apartment a bit earlier than scheduled, and I had not had a chance to take the heavy boxes of unassembled furniture up to my apartment from the mailroom. They took the boxes upstairs for me and had everything assembled in no time. They pointed out a few places where the wood was damaged in transit, but managed to assemble everything regardless. They hauled the boxes and trash to the trash room when finished. I'll hire them again next time I need something assembled. read more

Very unprofessional. I called him and asked for a quote. He informed me the soonest he could help me would be Thursday, great. He told me to email him a picture of the items and that he would send me the email address in a text message. Which he never did I had to call him back for the email address. Sent him the images from the two websites of the products. He told me it would be $500, which was fine. I confirmed a few other details with him via email. No response. Called him this am and he tells me that he has other customers and I had not confirmed. Sir I have every email in writing your lack of responsiveness loss you a customer as well as you trying to tell me you have other customers when all I did was ask how soon are you available? You gave me the time of Thursday am. How does that change in a day? If you didn't want the job or weren't available to do it you should have said so. Also hanging up on ppl when they point this out to you is rude. Wouldn't do any business with him or any of his other locations. read more

As of June 11, I have not received any response to multiple emails regarding the issues outlined below. Two individuals came to my apartment on Saturday, May 20, to hang three IKEA cabinets, put doors on them, and level three cabinets that rest below them on the floor. They managed to hang 3 cabinets in a 2 hour period--no doors, seemingly no leveling. It was such an exasperating, infuriating experience that it has taken me 6 days to compose myself, gather my thoughts, and write a letter. I'll start with the good things: 1. They sent a text and called 40 minutes before they arrived. 2. They arrived 40 minutes later, which was right on time. 3. One of the two men (the younger, quieter one) seemed apologetic for the way the other treated me. 4. Before leaving, they asked for a vacuum to clean up the mess (good). I was so discussed by the way I was treated (talking down to me, arguing with me, etc.) and their lack of attention to any detail, that I told them I would do it myself (bad). Now for bad things: 1. The head person's sheer rudeness (constantly talking down to me, talking over me, inability to listen, arguing with me, etc.) and lack of any attention to detail was astounding. One example: he was hanging the second cabinet upside down when I asked him to flip it the correct way. He had the arrogance to tell me no, that he'd hang just the way he wanted and I could cover up the bolts that showed underneath with mysterious black covers that he insisted I had--where he got that idea I have no idea. Eventually, he relented and hung the cabinet the correct way, although it was lopsided. When I spoke up about the obvious lopsidedness, he barked at me, told me he couldn't do anything about. I left to go to another room at that point. Eventually, he fixed that lopsided cabinet but went on to hang the third cabinet lopsided... 2. The top cabinets are noticeably unlevel, and they are not flush (lopsided, noticeable gap between cabinets). 3. They didn't level the base cabinets before hanging the top cabinets--so now one of the base cabinets is shoved under a top cabinet (scratching both cabinets) and there is no way to level the base. 4. Because they did not bother to make the top cabinets flush (the excuse was "well then I have to redo the whole thing"), now the base cabinets are not flush. 5. They drilled a hole into the wall but neglected to put a bolt in one of the top cabinets. I'm afraid to use the cabinet for fear that it will fall, break my TV, damage the wall, damage the floor, and possibly hurt someone. 6. The ceiling is scratched from their mishandling of the cabinets and now I must paint it. 7. They spent 2 hours doing a shoddy job and didn't have time to put the doors on the cabinets (note that this same thing was done in two different apartments by two different companies, both of which completed the project flawlessly in less than an hour). It took so long for these guys to hang 3 cabinets that I asked them not to bother with the doors--I'd do it myself. The one positive thing about that was that I had the opportunity to learn a lot about hinges. 8. They knew they were there to hang three cabinets on drywall with metal studs (this was in an email prior to the appointment) yet they did not have the right hardware--they rummaged through everything I had, suggested using bolts that were in a bag clearly marked for "dining room chairs", and wasted a significant amount of time scrounging for anything they had that could be used. I'm not actually sure what they used in the end. This list is not complete, but you get the picture. My experience with United Services Experts/Any Assembly Team was appalling and the work was shoddy. Honestly, I'm still flabbergasted by the lead man's behavior. It was unacceptable. He should be ashamed of himself. read more

Ion Ciobanu and another gentleman disassembled/reassembled a leather sofa for me. Although they were pleasant and professional, the quality of their work was poor. They ripped the leather in a visible place on the sofa during disassembly. Furthermore, when the sofa was reassembled, it was noticeable that they didn't reattach the filling properly. Very unhappy with the service provided. I needed help with getting a large piece of furniture up the stairs of my house. I was given a time frame of noon to 4 PM. A team of three arrived at 5 PM. It was dark and the team was rushing to finish work. In their haste, they took the extreme action of breaking the wooden trim in the stairwell. The house is very old and no one discussed with me the idea of breaking off a beautiful piece of trim. Before I realized what happened, they were sweeping up the hallway and they used a power drill to haphazardly screw the wooden trim "back" into place. It's not flush, there's a big gap and when I finally saw the state of things - They told me they'd fill the gap with putty. They stood in the hallway with a black marker and putty trying to cover the mistake. It looks terrible and I was charged $450 even though they permanently damaged the structure of the house. I tried to address this with the company and was told the workmen didn't fully break down the furniture to get it up the stairs because they were concerned about making too much noise late at night. No one talked to me about this concern and no one let me know that they were going to break off part of the structure. Don't use this service. The damage is considerable and looks to be permanent. read more

The next day, they again promised 7:00-8:00 but did not show up until after 9:00 (all without a single apology for missing the appointment or being late).
