I then stated to the gentleman who appeared to be the manager and he was quite unprofessional in explaining. I tried to explain the fact that there was no signs stipulating the new prices. Historically, this business maintained a consistent, clearly posted per-item price (previously $1.99, later $3.99). At no point in over two decades was pricing based on garment length. However, during my recent visits, I was informed--without any posted notice--that pricing would now vary, resulting in charges of $8 per dress, nearly double the advertised rate. When I questioned this discrepancy, the owner acknowledged that no updated pricing signage had been posted and stated he "plans" to put one up. I asked whether it was fair to charge customers prices they were not aware of or expecting. His response was that the sign would be coming "soon." He also admitted that because I raised concerns the day prior, he had to honor lower prices for other customers who overheard--further confirming that pricing is being applied inconsistently and without clear disclosure. For comparison, I was able to have the same garments cleaned at another cleaner along Route 22 toward Flemington for $5 per item, with transparent pricing and professional service--no issues, no disputes. Conclusion: Due to the lack of transparency, unprofessional behavior, and decline in service quality, I will no longer patronize this business. I strongly advise others to verify pricing in advance or consider alternative cleaners. This people are exceptionally rude and dont do the job you pay them to do. I dropped of some dress shirt for them to clean. They do a lousy job on the collars. They shirt looks the same as when you dropped it of. I have had to make 3 trips back there because I told them thats not what I paid for and its unacceptable. I believe it was the manager in the Union Rt22 location when I complained he said" If you dont like the service you dont have to come here" Well I did you will keep this garment until its cleaned properly. The older heavyset man working there was rude and told me, "If you don't like the prices, don't bring your clothes here." I give them my brand new jeans to shorten the length and I never wore these pants these were brand new pants with the tag on it from the store. The tailor went 2 1/2 inches shorter than he was supposed to. He ruined my pants. And these pants were expensive. On two occasions when I went to the dry cleaners to Complain, there is never a manager on the premises, there were only youths on the premises, just being told what to say. Needless to say, we need to speak with a manager to find out who's responsible for the mistake that was done to the brand new pants. They refused to take responsibility. I have been given the run around since October 2022 I was told by an employee that things like this happen when clothes bleed from another garment. Why would you be mixing colored items with whites??? THEY DO NOT CARE ABOUT YOUR ITEMS!!! I filled out a claim and was told that I could not have my garments. The store would now own them. I have been using this cleaners for years and an older heavy set hispanic man with glasses has completely ruined my experience. I dropped off ugg boots when I was on break from school because they had a small hot sauce stain and i was guaranteed the stain would come out. When I came to pick up my boots nine days later they were leaning to the side and an entire shade darker as if they were thrown into the washer and dryer. The boots have no structure and even have a small hole on the left side. So many of my family members have used this cleaners as far back as to me being in elementary school. I communicated my boots were ruined and the heavier set hispanic man said " well i don't know what you want me to do we clean them" I asked for the manager number and he gave me the number to the store. I know this is the number to the store because I called when I was in the store and heard the phone ringing. I contacted the store plenty of times leaving my phone number with no response & no resolution to the damaged boots. When I came home from school again in March & June I drove to the cleaners because my calls were being ignored & they refused to give me a email to the owner or a business email. I was reassured my a short young boy that looked to be a teenager that I would receive a call from the owners & have to be patient because the owner is just one person. I don't know how I can be patient when my ugg boots that only needed to be spot cleaned are looking as if the have been worn for years. I considered letting this go but I genuinely feel ripped off & will not allow them to do this to other people. My mom went to the store on my behalf & the same man told her he couldn't tell her anything because it's not her shoes. I was on the phone when my mom went to get a resolution for my ugg boots & he was extremely rude. I again contacted this store over seventeen & no response was given so when I threatened to sue for the damages & I was finally given a call back almost a year later. Instead of taking accountability the woman manager communicated they have problems with this worker all the time & apologize for the confusion being that they don't clean ugg boots. I again communicated I do not want to speak with the her I want to speak with the owner & she told me she will call back with a resolution. Once again I did not hear anything back after a week so I called back again. After calling over twelve times a man named John answered the phone and told me he would call me back tomorrow after speaking with the owner. I did not hear back until three days later and was told because it's been so long that nothing can be done. I have been constantly calling and visited this store and additional 9 times with no resolution so telling me nothing can be done is so hurtful and a scam. Nothing has been done so I will be suing this company because this is not only horrible customer service but they have done nothing to fix this issue other than give me the run around despite my constant attempts. I've had a really bad experience with them this last time. I had purchased rose blush curtains and and they were brand new, still in it package. I took it there for pressing only. I got charged for washing also, not realizing it. Then told that it will be ready the next day. I go the following day and it wasn't ready. Then the next day and luckily I checked and it wasn't pressed. I asked for my money back and they refused. Said they'll fix it and to go back the next day. BEWARE of $1.99 ...I will admit the cheap price caught my attention but shortly after several visits I started to notice my clothes were not properly being cleaned. I would bring my clothes to them lint free only to pick them up full of lint -visible lint. I spoke to a manager who had all kinds of excuses; you can't argue with me about why my clothes have tons of lint all over them when they had none when I brought them to you. Secondly, my black Columbia jacket just needed dry cleaning ...now it has stains in it; what the hell is going on back there? This place is not suitable for any of my garments and I will not return. I would not recommend this place. The service is cash only and paid at time off drop-off, which isn't a huge deal. The lines are always long almost to the point you want to bring a magazine. Many times they seem understaffed for days like Saturdays and Sundays when clearly most people are out running errands. Many time there are 2 people on the registers and they have about 5 or 6 ringing stations. They seem to not have any air conditioning and just fans so the environment is very uncomfortable in the summer. I don't expect 5 star service for 1.99 but air would be nice. The staff leaves a lot to be desired. They are not rude or nice, they are just there to take your clothes and money. The female manager is very rude and short and lacks customer service skills. I had a fair warning from my friends about the quality but still tried this place to see for myself. The first couple of times I went here I had no issues. Although the clothes came out clean but had a film and strong solvent smell but I just aired them out. At the time I wasn't willing to pay $5 + item or more considering the number of items I own that are dry clean only. After about the 3rd time coming here I had enough they almost ruined a completely new jacket of mine. It came back with horrible black marks on an off white/Ivory designer blazer I had to take the jacket back at least 7x to have them try and fix it because the manager would not replace the jacket. Everytime I went the manager tried to argue with me and made me feel like it was my fault. What manager does this? Eventually the problem was solved and I was compensated with a few free cleanings for my inconvenience (which didn't even cover the gas I spent to deal with the incident.) I used my free cleanings and voila more issues a shrunken discolored (looked like a coating) winter coat and a scarf that went in with a tiny stain and then came back with even more stains and damage. These items fortunately were not worth a ton of money and will go to the Goodwill up the street. But, you shouldn't have your items come back worse then when you take them in. very bad. they got ink on my pants so I went back and they said they would take care of it. The second time I got the pants back there was still ink on the pants legs. Third time, they took the pants in the back and did something that basically bleached the area where one of the stains were white and the girl said I needed to leave the pants there so they could get the rest out. I basically laughed because you could plainly see the area was now discolored. When I asked what they were going to do about it she said that I must have had ink on the pants when I original brought them there because there was no way they could have done it. They are absolutely not a recommended place to go to. Yes it's only a $1.99 but you have to take ownership when you screw up. Everything is Smelly!! Do they clean their machines? Do they train the employees how to dry clean clothing?? The one on Route 46 in Parsippany must dry press items back and front and then tag, hang. and give it back. Most of my dry cleaned shirts came back smelling like B.O. - they don't clean the armpits, and you can only wear an item once before it has to go back. Also most stained items come back still stained and are fine after they go to a regular dry cleaner.....which increases the cost of dry cleaning if you'd just gone to the regular one to begin with. My closet used to smell great before I started using the 1.99 cleaners, so I guess I will go back to a real dry cleaner. Overall it is a great concept but maybe they should charge a little more and get it right! read more

I love the place, I like the customer service, the quality of work and even the wait is not to bad. The price is reasonable. I never had anything lost, ripped or damaged. For those who put high quality garments there and had bad service maybe you should take those garments to a professional place and even then that's not guaranteed. Only had shirts laundered there twice but was the worst I have ever seen. Shirt sleeves were not ironed and looked as if they had been sprayed with water and left to dry. I couldn't believe how awful they looked and decided to give them a second chance. Came back again terrible. I had to reiron every shirt. Won't make that mistake again. I would choose NO STARS if I could! You get what you pay for. Clothes are returned faded, stiff, not pressed to the seams of dresspants, delicate sweaters are left sagging off of the hanger with no grippies, label tags pierce holes into delicate articles of clothing, flimsy safety pins are used to hold heavy skirts onto hangers, I can go on and on about awful this place is. They damaged my $188 skirt, the hooks were ripped out of the closure of the waistband and they refused to take responsibility for it. The attendant immediately lost his temper when it was brought to his attention and said it couldn't happen, used an example of "If you tried walking through our window, can you go through it? DON'T GO THERE!!!!!! THIS PLACE RUINED MY CLOTHS!!!! I dropped off cloths there, and when I picked it up a few days later and took it out of the plastic bag, all cloths came back feeling very stiff. A plisse dress was completely destroyed. It wasn't even plisse anymore. When I went back there and showed them what they did, It didn't help.
