Showers are gross with a funky build up and in 5 years I have never seen the sauna cleaned.....mind you it was broke for a year at 1 point. The gym advertises "childcare" which is just an unkempt room with no supervision for kids to stay in. Powerhouse corporate needs to do a site visit to see if this gym meets their standards.

The owner is very nice and when he saw me and new I was new, went out of the way to introduce himself. I had a tour with one of the trainers who works out of the gym, and he was both super knowledgeable and nice. I have been when pretty busy, and when I was the only one in the place and never had an issue getting in my full workout. If I was to give any criticism it would be that the locker rooms are small (well the mens one is) but they cannot really do anything to change that, and they are adequate.

However to my surprise, I received a text from the owner saying he was in a meeting and couldn't get to the phone but wanted to know if I needed anything! I told him my situation and he gave me an entire weekend pass! The gym is a fob entry system, I went in the morning and had the whole place to myself, they had an awesome environment with lots of options. I enjoyed the place so much I decided to support it and buy one of their awesome fitness sweatshirts, which was only $20! I had a great experience and when I'm back in Lansing, I know where I will be.
