Or if anything they like to just cover the issue rather than fix it. I love this gym the employees and the cleanliness, when it comes to maintenance however, they are lacking. The sewage drains always smell and the very last toilet in the woman's locker room has been broken for over a month with feces exposed and festering. Before this, the water fountain was broken for multiple months where water would just drain directly onto the floor. The roof will, without fail, leak in multiple areas every time it rains. Issues like these need to be resolved immediately. The owners have a plumber under contract that can be contacted at all times which they do not make use of. It's very disappointing as a member to see that my money for the membership is not going towards the things that I actually use and are important at the gym.

We were in town for a hosted swim meet. It is clearly posted all over the building that the gym and…read moreother areas are not in use when the aquatic center is hosting a swim meet. I don't really understand the reason for not having the gym available to members during swim meets but maybe it's to keep potential creepers from using the same locker room as minors. The facility is nice and clean and there was plenty of parking as there is a separate lot for event parking and the main parking lot right in front of the building is for members only and it is clearly marked. The aquatic center is very nice and has nice large windows that have a view of the St. Joseph river. The seats were much better than the usual flat bleacher seats that you normally have to sit in. It looks like a former YMCA that has been updated and remodeled.

They have cornered the market as far as gyms in my area there aren't many options. The one nearest…read moreme is small and it's overcrowded quickly, equipment is not always kept up. Handles missing for weight machines, weight adjustment pins lost heads., holes were in the walls for months. The bigger one near me is uncomfortable and is giant open gym style no windows, also no yoga or pilates classes offered in any of the gyms that have classes available. One farther away I like better but it still has equipment that is in need of sprucing up. Tredmills or bikes that don't turn on and track progress.

The young guy at the counter told me it was done, no worries. Never received an email or any follow up. Called again three different times and was told it was "cancelled." Noticed it was still coming out and called AGAIN. This went on for TWO YEARS before finally telling my bank it was fraudulent and not to process any more charges. I get an email about my "missed" payment to which I replied "is this a joke? How many times do I have say THIS IS CANCELLED!!!" Two days later I get an email from someone named Zach Ake confirming it was cancelled.

Not to sound like a SF snob, but we weren't expecting much (okay, that does sound a bit snobbish - sorry!), but we were pleasantly surprised! The gym was great -- tons of Life Fitness machines (both weight and cardio), free weights, and even a spin room. The facility was super clean, and not crowded at all, so no long waits for the ever popular ellipticals (although I'm sure January will be a different story). The staff was SO nice too -- Michelle was super, as was the guy working Christmas Eve (sorry, I forgot his name). We'll be going back whenever we're in the area, and will definitely recommend it!

Not a fan of the recent take over for Fitstop gyms. Fitstop offered $10/mo and $35/yr for membership. Eastlake says they offer a military Discount to those who serve but its the same $25/mo they charge everyone moving from the Fitstop changeover. They do offers deals tho to those they are friends with who are workout buffs but apparently that doesn't apply to Military. Im moving on and so should you.

I have been in the locker room once, and it smelled. The soccer area is always freezing, so dress warm. Staff are friendly and the front lobby and exercise area are always clean.
