Nice gym, nice staff, very clean and well appointed, and close to home looking forward to being a member here

After I received in writing from the national office that my membership was canceled and my last payment was processed, Anytime continued to charge my credit card, but this time weekly. As in, what I normally paid for a month was charged to my credit card every week for a month. I contacted the national office again, and they denied processing any charges. How is this legal? Of course, my credit card company stepped in. No gym is worth this aggravation. read more

Clean gym. Has all the equipment I need to workout. Convenient location and like the ability to use this gym in other states as I travel.

Very knowledgeable and patient with no pressure added to the experience of signing up and picking the right plan for my lifestyle and needs.

Good gym. It's a small space, but it has all the basics you'll need for a good workout. Plenty of cardio machines. Space is clean.

Great atmosphere, staff, and community. Lots of equipment which is never really an issue considering it is open 24/7.

The facilities at Anytime Fitness - Midvale are fine considering the price of the membership. Generally pretty clean, but lacking in space and free weights. If you are looking to run on a treadmill and use a few dumbbells, kettlebells, or medicine balls, it's probably sufficient for you. It's convenient to have access 24 hours/day with a fob and the monthly price is reasonable. The reason I'm giving this location the lowest rating possible is because of their customer service. I have tried to cancel my membership multiple times since 2021 after I was charged for my membership during their "billing freeze" in 2020 due to COVID restrictions. My billing was never frozen and I have called, emailed, and even came in person to cancel my membership multiple times. A few days ago, the "manager" I spoke with said they would cancel my membership and issue a refund for the months I have been charged since my last call in January where they assured me they canceled my membership. They said they would call or email me a confirmation that day since they needed authorization from their manager. No call, no email, and I was just charged again today. I decided to file a complaint with the BBB, where I discovered multiple other similar complaints for Anytime Fitness Southern Wisconsin in the last year. Before signing a contract, be sure you are going to use the membership. If you're unsure, find somewhere else because you could just get stuck with a monthly bill that you will have to fight to get out of. read more

This location of Anytime Fitness is a bit larger than the Sherman Rd. location with a few more treadmills and ellipticals. It's also on the busy side around prime time (5pm) but usually you can get onto a machine within a few minutes. I do believe this location is going to start offering small group exercise classes. My only issue with this location is the parking lot. It's always a game of "I'm a shark circling my prey" trying to find a spot in the lot, it doesn't matter if it's 2pm on a Saturday or 6pm on a Tuesday. That lot is a zoo! Fine, fine, tell me I'm lazy and I could just park on Midvale or in the neighborhood on the other side and walk 50 feet. I'm going to the gym to walk on the treadmill for goodness sake! All true. Not a fan of this location at all. It shares a parking lot with a library, restaurant , ice cream shop and apartment building. There is hardly any parking. It's always busy. Obviously there isn't anything they can do about that but don't even think about parking here anywhere near "peak" hours. My biggest pet peeve in a gym are inconsiderate trainers. I understand that people have paid extra for personal training and you are working with them on a set plan, I'm not delusional. What I don't like is when they train someone as if they are only people in the gym. Using 3 sets of weights at a time or hogging a weight bench and a squat rack. This does two things. It leaves a bad taste in my mouth saying I'm playing second fiddle in your gym just because I don't want or need personal training. It also teaches the people you are training really poor gym etiquette. The gym in its self is fine, box store gym, clean and an average selection of equipment, but I really don't feel like the staff is up to par with some of the other Anytimes. I also didn't see the wifi code posted anywhere. In short the equipment is decent, nothing mind blowing. The parking is TIGHT and used by a lot of other businesses. Don't bother trying to go around peak hours. Most importantly don't think the trainers will give you equal space or practice any etiquette while they are with a client. Writing bad reviews isn't fun, but I won't be back to this location. read more

Nice facility. I've been to quite a few Anytime Fitness locations, and overall this one has many machines, a nice back room, lots of free weights, and good bathroom/shower facilities. This one even has a nice water bottle filling area on the bubbler/"water fountain". One thing I did not love was the difficulty of operating the televisions, it would be nice to have a button or control to be able to scroll through more easily. read more

I just joined, I've found the trainers to be super helpful and approachable, and the equipment to be in really good condition. I would recommend leaving yourself an extra 5-10 minutes to get a parking spot, especially during after work hours. Overall would definitely recommend and would join again! read more

I would highly recommend joining anytime fitness Midvale. The staff is very kind and willing to help you in any way that they can to assist you on your fitness journey and getting to a healthier you. It is just big enough for functional training and weight lifting but small enough where it doesn't feel crammed. Since the remodel it looks very sleek and there is added space!, as a member for 6 years going on 7 I can not recommend it enough! read more

Been a member here for about five months now, and I have nothing bad to say about the place. It's a no-frills type of gym that costs $35 a month (a little more if you're not a student), so don't expect towel service, friendly employees, or virgins feeding you grapes while you're on the elliptical. I do agree with the previous reviewer, the woman who works there is pretty stone cold. However, I have no reason to speak to her, so she can continue riding her high horse. What you do get is a clean, well maintained place with the necessities - plenty of cardio equipment, free weights, machines, a small workout room with equipment and three spin bikes. All in all, I'm a satisfied customer of Anytime. It costs 1/5 of what I used to pay at the SportsClub LA, and it has everything I need. read more

Got a personal trainer at Anytime Fitness in July of this year and now work out three days a week almost without fail. My trainer (Pat Lehr) is not only a fantastic coach but knows a lot about health and nutrition which makes for a much more holistic approach leading to life changing habits (rather than yo-yo dieting and weekend warrior type workouts). I highly recommend the personal trainer approach to working out, by the way, especially if you have a very busy lifestyle and are accountable to everyone but yourself! Very impressed with the Q&A that's posted on the bulletin board, the member profiles, the giant chalkboard of inspiring ideas they had up all summer, and especially the sheer creativity of the one-on-one coaching. I've never done the same workout twice so there's never a dull moment! Oh and excellent range of equipment, clean facilities, friendly, personable staff, etc. read more

I just completed a one year membership and I will not renew. It is very DIRTY and gross. Many members don't wipe down the equipment as they get off , and no one seems to care. There was a towel on the floor in the bathroom " and i "noticed" it on saturday, sunday and again monday. Gross and smelly Finally-- the 50.00 fee for the key is a scam for 2 cents worth of plastic. . How about take a 50.00 deposit and charge me if I lose it? with cheaper, cleaner places right down the road ( Midvale by Hilldale and on odana) they should clean up their act. But.. most importantly. there is a high pressure sales pitch to join and buy training packages. I was told the membership included one visit with a trainer. NOT TRUE, it was a quick "assessment" and he told me I was needed to work out . ( really???) and then I was steered into an office where a "salesmen" offered me training packages. iNo kidding..the packages run up to 10,000. 00. read more

Really nice people and a very clean location. It's small, but powerful :) Plenty of changing rooms (not locker room) and a kiosk for classes as opposed to large group classes. read more

I am extremely happy that I joined this club. The new equipment is ergonomically sound and the staff is constantly making sure the place is spotlessly clean. I've made more gains in 6 months here than the previous 6 years with lower quality equipment at my old workout facility. I've found the staff very friendly and helpful and they usually greet me on a first name basis. I rarely have to wait any significant time to use a piece of equipment and the wide variety always leaves a station open. VERY reasonably priced. I'm very surprised that people would find the staff "cold". They're very busy when I go to work out, but never rude. That said, I don't work out at night. It is what you make it..... read more

People are constantly dropping weights, which shake the building up to the apartments above the gym. When we call to complain they usually don't answer and never call back after we leave a message. Please actually enforce the no weight dropping rule! I've done a trial here before and it gets pretty packed, and of course the parking lot is a zoo. I live in the building and I don't even go here if that says anything. Princeton club express up the street is cheaper. read more

I started a free 14-day trial because it was conveniently located and I hadn't been able to look into the details on using the gym on campus. I cancelled during my 14-day trial period but they still ended up charging me for the next month and initially told me I could keep the key FOB (which is apparently not true if you just do the trial). I informed them of the problem and returned my key FOB. They did credit my account back after about two weeks. Overall, although the gym was not the best choice for me, the equipment set is fairly good and there are plenty of locations to choose from. read more

awful. they told me when i signed that we could cancel at any time. (now have learned to read the contract carefully rather than take their word for it). then went in to end the auto renew. my membership finally expired, but they automatically renewed it! now I'm in a battle to try to get them to refund and actually process the cancellation this time! read more
