I have had back problems for over 20 years. I checked out the Foundation Training books from the…read morelibrary and tried doing the exercises on my own, but something wasn't quite right. YouTube helped a little, but there is a lot going on in each exercise, and I wanted to make sure I was doing the exercises correctly. So, I went to the Foundation Training website and found Mona's (one of the Studio Melt owners) name - she is one of only two Foundation Training practitioners in the area. Two weeks after taking Foundation Training classes at Melt my back was better. Regular classes have helped it say healthy. There is nothing like it in town, and Mona explains every exercise in great detail, gives constant cues and will come around and correct your form in every class. You buy a class pass and attend as you please. There are other services and classes at Melt too (Yamuna ball rolling for example), but I only do the Foundation Training classes regularly. I tried Yamuna ball rolling once and also liked it. Melt and Mona have been a life saver.

I also stayed for a Body Chisel class which was awesome, unique and just the right amount of challenging. I got a GREAT workout and wish that Melt studio was in my own city. Matt, the owner and head coach, monitors each client's progress over time and never allows shenanigans in his gym (well, maybe the fun ones). Whether you are far from your prime and looking to get back in shape, or if you're an aspiring Froning, Matt has a place for you in his gym. Like any affiliate, the cost is higher than you will pay at a Gold's. However, you get what you pay for. Crossfit can be the most expensive gym membership you hold, or it can be the best personal training for your buck, bar none. When I started training there, I wasn't pressured to lay down the plastic, and as a result I was happy to do so when the time came. This ain't an ad kids, feel free to come in any given afternoon and you'll see me training there. Meet Matt and some of the other 1847 denizens, and jump in a workout when you're ready. I never though it would be for me but I am so glad that i finally gave it a try. After 6 months here I can say that I ahve never felt like I am in better shape. Plus the people here are all fantastic and supportive no matter what you fitness level is. Matt will work with you to learn what your fitness goals are and how to reach them. He takes the time to make sure every person in his box know what they are doing before letting them tackle any kind of lifts. He does a great job programming work out that build on Olympic lifts, conditioning and gymnastic skills.

I always feel well supported and looked out for. I have belonged to Harbor Athletic, Anytime Fitness and 24hr Fitness previously and this is a much nicer, holistic, friendly gym for me.

But I, who am disabled so admittedly stammer, have been unable to get them to call me back. I feel really bad leaving this review, and am happy to amend or correct it once I get a callback so that I can begin my exercise routine which I am very excited about beginning because I have seen health improvements in the past from working with a trainer.

The facility was too notch, the members were welcoming and I found the coaches (Aaron & Billy) to be friendly, knowledgeable and very engaging. All the above made for an exceptional experience. Xpress P Club offers good essential equipment for those who are unable to go to the main locations…read more There are 2 smith machines, 3 benches for dumbbell press etc, a cybex cable machine, a lot of accessory machines, 8 treadmills, 8 ellipticals, and 2 stair master machines. It's generally not crowded so you're able to find the equipment you want to use for your workout without waiting. The staff are super friendly and overall it's a great atmosphere for a quick session. Only critique is I wish there was a bench press/stand alone barbell that wasn't a part of the smith machine.

The entrance was a tad difficult to spot as the address is Segoe Street but the entrance was a bit up on Frey. This location is much nicer than either of the larger east, west, or Fitchburg gyms, with up to date equipment. I'm a third shifter, so I was there from 3-4:30am.
