    Crossfit Heat - CrossFit Kids!

I'm first to review? Shut. The. Front. Door. I wanted to review a place that I LOVE for my 40th…read morereview. And this gym is definitely a fav! Crossfit Heat is definitely a great gym for learning proper form while weight lifting. You get a daily personal trainer for a whole month for what would normally cost maybe 4 sessions with one. Okay, its a "personal trainer" in a group setting, but they keep adding classes if class sizes ever get too big. So it always feels like I have my own personal trainer. And that's how you have to look at Crossfit. You are not paying for a gym membership. You are paying for unlimited personal training. In that regard, this is totally worth the price. I have learned so, so much about weight training. Push press? Overhead squat? Before I joined this gym, I had no idea what those were. They take their time and really teach you each move, where to set your feet, where to use leverage, and all the while, giving you strength and teaching you how to grow from it. Joining this gym has really changed my perspective. As a massage therapist, I study the human body. And I can say that the trainers here focus on form and function, and do a great job at making sure you never hurt yourself. I have had both Tiffany and Garry both order me to bring down the weight I was using to a lower weight, because my form was not top notch yet. THAT is the kind of feedback that a real pro brings to the table. All of the trainers at this gym have proven to have that kind of discipline, and its very impressive. Warning: Like *any* gym that uses weights, it is YOUR responsibility to take it slow and easy, and ask aggressive questions about form, until YOU are doing it right. If you try to grab a weight heavier than your weakest muscle (like the shoulder, anyone?), and you overdo it, you will injure yourself. Every time. Don't blame Crossfit for this. YOU need to take it slower and ask more question. I've spent an entire week working with a piece of PVC pipe instead of a weight. Trust me. Its worth the weight. I have great form. And as I move up, I do so confidently, and without injury! And PS. I know there are vids of people from Crossfit doing stupid poorly formed exercises. Guess what? There are vids from every gym of people doing stupid things. You should judge the gym based on the knowledge and training of the people there. And based on that, this gym gets 5 stars! All around one of the best gym experiences in my life. They start with a warm up and walk you through the whole process. Great experience.

Everyone was very friendly and the place had everything you could ask for to get a good workout in. Couldn't have asked for a better place to stop in and get in a Crossfit workout. For new people looking to get into Crossfit I would highly recommend this gym to them. I will be coming back the next time I am in Dallas for sure.

The best gym in a 50+ mile radius. Maybe further. Plenty of room, super clean, lots of great…read moreequipment and amenities, friendly knowledgeable staff, and great members. Nothing else in Crockett, or Huntsville, even come close.

Rarely do businesses shock me. This one did. It is one of the nicest gyms I have been to…read more Seriously. It is geared both toward the free weight crowd and the weight machine crowd, has a nice quantity of cardio equipment (currently not all in use because of Covid), and includes an outdoor fitness area with ropes and strongman equipment. Currently, social distancing signs are posted and sanitizer is available throughout. The husband/wife team who own the gym are knowledgeable and friendly and I believe compete in the powerlifting arena. Personal trainers are available (for a fee of course). Pre-Covid there were aerobics classes; I don't know if those are currently in session. The gym is part of the network of gyms generally covered by insurance plans that include fitness memberships. I believe there is the option for paying a small fee to visit. The gym is open to all members Monday through Friday, but accessible to members who pay a little extra for 24/7 access (via key card). I have that membership and going on Saturday or Sunday is like having your own private gym complete with squat racks and deadlift platforms. Amazing! If you read my Yelp reviews, you know I don't usually gush. This gym merits that. Check it out.

If you're looking into personal training, I highly recommend Chris Savoie. I was a little intimidated to start personal training again, but Chris met me where I was at and has consistently challenged me to push myself, grow, and get better. No workout is the same- he keeps it fresh and exciting without skipping out on the basics. Chris also does small group training and has a knack for matching up skill levels and personalities and making sure that each participant gets individualized attention even while in a group setting.

They were eager to help me get back on track. We looked at all the possibilities and they helped me find my direction and determine what was best for me. My trainer, Chris, is the best. He's there every step of the way; workout plan, diet, encouragement and goal setting. It doesn't matter how old you are, 360 Fitness is the place to be to make your fitness goals a reality. You will be impressed with all they have to offer and how they can personalize it for you. For me, 360 Fitness will always be my gym. I hope to see you there.
