It is one of a very few gyms that is privately owned and no pressured sales people. I feel very comfortable exercising there with women only. The clients range from many age levels. I am 71 and not the oldest and very far from the youngest. They have a wide variety of classes and a most welcoming environment.

They also do a monthly option like your typical gym. A day pass was $25 and a 3 day pass was around $50. Gym is clean and machines are in good shape. Management is friendly and happy to help answer any questions. They have 1 shower stall on site. Whenever we travel I struggle to find good gym options, as most of them are more focused on offering treadmill and aerobic equipment, this gym was great as it offered plenty of strength training and weight lifting equipment.

In the summer, it seems like they'll hire just about anybody as an instructor. I have been doing Pilates for over 20 years and I could not believe the quality of the people they had teaching level two Pilates.... I swear they were trained over the weekend ....seriously not qualified! My biggest complaint would have to be the lack of padding on the reformers. I spoke to one of the owners over four years ago about this issue, and I was assured that they were refurbishing all of the foot bars, beds and shoulder pads within 6 months. fFnally, last year they refurbish the boxes. Rather than investing in the clubs they have, they open new clubs that they can't staff with qualified instructors. It's frustrating trying to concentrate on pilates while being distracted by having your shoulders, feet and back up against metal on leather. I thought the South Tamiami studio was bad until I went to use the one downtown, which are even worse.... zero padding.
