This is probably the best example of a gym you DONT want to go to. I have never felt more uncomfortable than I do right now sitting in this gym. All of the staff having a serious staring problem and does not make the gym feel like a welcoming place. I even overheard one of the staff talking about me while I was still in the facility. Do not recommend anyone that enjoys working out for themselves to attend this gym. Super uncomfortable environment and judgmental Not too mention since COVID-19 the gym has taken no measures to ensure their clients or staffs safety. The employees are NOT wearing masks. There are no options to clean the equipment other than reusing the same cloth others have used. GROSS. The facilities are dirty. The toilets look like they've never been cleaned. The bathroom floors have been collecting dust for years now. The overall atmosphere is disgusting and unwelcoming. Will definitely be taking my business elsewhere! About the only upside of this location is the tanning bed, however I wouldn't dare to use it considering their lack of cleanliness.

They don't have lots of fancy machines, they don't have any mirrors - what they do have is a system that works. I lost 20 pounds in 8 weeks, my daughter lost 15 pounds and my wife lost 20 as well! The results are not just about weight - they are about changing the way you look at almost everything! My cardio and my attitude and my energy level have increased dramatically thanks to NGPT! You also need to know that every team member was also a customer first! Trish is one of the most inspirational coaches I have ever met - and she lost over 180 pounds doing the program. ' Their board of people who have lost 40, 50, 60, 70, 80, etc pounds is amazing and TRUE! If you are ready to make a real change in your life, NGPT is the place to begin the journey!

I know several people have come here and lost some serious weight.... it isn't surprising given how…read moresupportive NGPT is. I began taking classes here to get off campus and get some exercise in (graduate school hasn't been so kind to my previous active lifestyle). After coming here I ended up finding community outside of graduate school that was health conscious and motivated. I lost a few pounds, and gained some serious strength. I'm not going to lie; getting motivated to hit the gym at the end of a stressful day is hard, but knowing that I've got a supportive crew waiting for me at the gym certainly helps. BONUSES: 1) Online scheduling: Helps keep class sizes under check and ensures that I hit the gym when I say I will. 2) Cool people: I was afraid I'd run into the classic 'jock' types but this is far from the case. The people who come here are personable and fun to be around. 3) Inspiration: So many people have lost weight and have managed to keep it off. If they can do it; I can keep a healthy lifestyle too! 4) TRX: Seriously the coolest workout thing ever. 5) Functional training: Since working out here I've noticed my day-to-day activity/energy has improved immensely; something I haven't been able to recreate from traditional gym workouts. DOWNSIDES: 1) Music: I get tired of listening to the same music at EVERY workout. In class you are guaranteed to be listening to repeat playlists of either classic rock, funk, random 80's beats, or uber hyped up pop music. It is tolerable the first 10 classes... then it gets old. Perhaps they could sync Spotify/Grooveshark/Pandora or something to vary it up a bit. 2) Equipment: The mats used for classes are old and beat up, but this isn't such a big deal if you bring your own. 3) Wish there were more late night classes (lately they've been getting better about changing the schedule up and adding in new ones) If you are looking to become more active, shed a few pounds, find some cool friends, or need an outlet to stay sane this place is the jam!

Clientele are respectful in wiping down equipment from my experience and overall a friendly, welcoming atmosphere. Not too busy typically and always many options available. Training sessions are available. Fitness app is also a handy tool included with membership. The gym is well-lit and super clean. There's a ton of equipment as well as three designated areas for stretching, circuit, and functional workouts. Seemingly, there is a place for everything and everything is in its place. The staff is more engaged than other locations and seem to be working to keep the place up to spec. If you're a power lifter, you probably already know this isn't the gym for you. If you're into staying fit, the offerings here are almost certainly more than sufficient. If you're a black card member, the new massage chairs are awesome. Additionally, I like to think that they finally listened to me and put in a little inset shelf in the shower stalls where I can put my body wash. Thank you for that! This was a major upgrade from their old spot on L&C!

I'm updating my previous rating from 2 to 3 stars…read more I was really impressed that the owner, Ryan, contacted me via email/yelp to amend the situation I addressed in my previous review. He offered a month of training gratis, and I took him up on the offer. As for the experience, Force seems to be a great place to get a quick workout in. The staff are friendly, and knowledgeable. The actual 'work' done in a session ranges from 15-40 minutes. Warm up includes a bit of foam rolling, and some dynamic stretching exercises. The actual workout involves circuit-type functional training. I like that they incorporate explosive plyometric movements for people who are more fit, and yet find modifications for people who are just getting into fitness. Advantages: 1) No need to think. These people do the programming, you only need to show up 2) Matt (the trainer I had) was great about checking form and providing modifications to the suggested exercises. 3) I like the community. It is nice to see familiar faces at each workout... definitely helps in keeping me motivated. 4) Facility is clean, nice shower/changing rooms. 5) I like the fact that you choose particular days and times for classes in advance; it really helps keep you on track and accountable. Disadvantages: 1) I personally found the workouts to be too boring and easy (I don't think I ever woke up with a sore muscle after a workout). I come from a personal training background, and I'm used to spending more time at the gym. This program is likely ideal for a person of average fitness. Often after a workout at Force I head to the campus gym to get more cardio training and lifting in. 2) I find the location of this place to be less-than-ideal. This is just me. 3) Certain days of the week (namely days that involve isometric type exercises) are incredibly boring. (My friends have had similar complaints) 4) Pricing: this place is a bit expensive. Suggestions: 1) Perhaps have certain boot camp sessions cater to beginner or advanced levels of fitness. As it stands, there are too many people in a class with too many different issues to target. It is kind of a mess. 2) If you are already an athlete or experienced in training, I suggest you forgo the boot camp sessions, and try out personal training (this may be more rigorous and tailored) Summary: After this bootcamp, I will not be returning to Force (I may not even finish the boot camp that was offered). It is located on the outskirt of town, far from where I work/live, and the workouts aren't really working out for me. I know a lot of other people who love this place (secretaries, neighbors, friends, etc.) but it just isn't my thing.

This place is so incredibly special, I can't put it into words. Simply stated: whoever you are,…read morewhatever your goals, whatever your experience, Force is THE gym in Bloomington. The coaching is literally world-class, and you WILL get the results you're searching for (ask yourself, are you reaching them with what you're doing now?)! Personally, I lost 90lbs and gained a fabulous family/community along with an amazing education in fitness, nutrition and myself. This gym and it's various programs really are for all levels. The bootcamp is great and there is no one to blame if you don't get a great workout in but yourself. People in a more advanced athletic state are expected to do more advanced movements with heavier weights at faster speeds. Key Words: High performance athlete training, student (youth) athlete training, weight loss, high intensity interval training, personal training, group training, nutrition, Olympic Weightlifting, strength and conditioning, safety, Functional Movement Screen (FMS), mobility, MovNat, CrossFit, Brazilian Ju Jitsu, Precision Nutrition, Whole 9/30, paleo/primal, boot camp, mindfulness, play/sport, constant improvement, support, acceptance, open space. State of the art gym (and clean!) with the best group of coaches, trainers and administrators in the business. I could go on and on. I've been doing this fitness/weight loss thing a long, long time and this gym is the height of what you can get. I've had to move out of state, and there's nothing I mourn more than the loss of Force. Give it a chance.
