FT Knox is showing out with this gym!!! I mean nothing but the best for soldiers and I love love it! This gym has a cardio area upstairs with anything you can think of. It also has an indoor walking /running track. It's really great equipment. It almost looks brand new. I haven't been to any other gyms here on the installation but honestly after seeing this place I don't need anything else. The only down fall is that they are not open on the weekends. But I usually do cardio on those days and there is plenty here in the hotel for that so no biggie. There is also a huge basketball court as you enter the gym. It's well maintained! Finally there is a SAuna!!!!! I say again there is a sauna!!!! Wayyyyy to go MWR !! Like I said this gym is showing out " that is slang for being awesome" by the way. Hours are Monday through Friday 0500-2100hrs great if you are an early riser like me! I am really happy with it:-) this place gets five stars from this three time elite!

They could use more squat racks in the lifting room and get rid of the non motorized treadmills I've never seen one person use them. The staff there is pretty relax and nice. It can get pretty hot in there but I guess that's Kentucky for you. Other than that I've had fun at this gym.

I started at Anytime Fitness in Salem Indiana a few years ago. I was a truck driver on the road…read moremost of the week and saw them for a training sessions usually on Saturdays or early Mondays with a trainer named Adam for which I am eternally grateful. That is however where my gratitude stops. Adam left and I wasn't comfortable with other trainers (not their fault I don't like people) and I was able to cancel the personal training sessions. In August of 2025 i requested cancellation forms by email and received them and promptly got busy and forgot about them. I continued to pay my subscription and club fees without pause until May of this year 2026. During that time I received no official correspondence from Anytime Fitness of any kind despite not having set foot in the gym for the better part of a year. As im a busy individual and find myself up before 5 most days and not getting home until 6 from work I decided to call my bank and have a stop order placed on any charges from Anytime Fitness and decided i would turn in the key fobs at the earliest convenience. From May 14th to May 21st after i placed the stop order at the beginning of May i received no less than 3 calls from the manager of the Anytime Fitness in Salem concerned with why i hadn't come back to the gym and asking if there was anything they could do. I finally answered the third call and let them know I wanted a cancellation and would be bringing the key fobs by at my earliest convenience. At that time i was notified of the cancellation policy (I may have been told about it in August of 2025, but I don't believe so). It was at that time i was notified that to cancel my subscription i would be required to have an account in good standing (reasonable i suppose despite not having used the facilities in nearly a year) and that i would be subject to a 30 day cancellation period where i would be required to keep the account in good standing. I have yet to find out if they will accept cash or a money order to get my account current but i will not be giving them or their biller access to my bank account again. If your thinking about using Anytime Fitness my suggestion is don't if you have another option. Planet Fitness is cleaner, cheaper, and better. Also if you want to cancel your subscription to Planet Fitness it takes five minutes on your phone.

I'm updating my previous rating from 2 to 3 stars…read more I was really impressed that the owner, Ryan, contacted me via email/yelp to amend the situation I addressed in my previous review. He offered a month of training gratis, and I took him up on the offer. As for the experience, Force seems to be a great place to get a quick workout in. The staff are friendly, and knowledgeable. The actual 'work' done in a session ranges from 15-40 minutes. Warm up includes a bit of foam rolling, and some dynamic stretching exercises. The actual workout involves circuit-type functional training. I like that they incorporate explosive plyometric movements for people who are more fit, and yet find modifications for people who are just getting into fitness. Advantages: 1) No need to think. These people do the programming, you only need to show up 2) Matt (the trainer I had) was great about checking form and providing modifications to the suggested exercises. 3) I like the community. It is nice to see familiar faces at each workout... definitely helps in keeping me motivated. 4) Facility is clean, nice shower/changing rooms. 5) I like the fact that you choose particular days and times for classes in advance; it really helps keep you on track and accountable. Disadvantages: 1) I personally found the workouts to be too boring and easy (I don't think I ever woke up with a sore muscle after a workout). I come from a personal training background, and I'm used to spending more time at the gym. This program is likely ideal for a person of average fitness. Often after a workout at Force I head to the campus gym to get more cardio training and lifting in. 2) I find the location of this place to be less-than-ideal. This is just me. 3) Certain days of the week (namely days that involve isometric type exercises) are incredibly boring. (My friends have had similar complaints) 4) Pricing: this place is a bit expensive. Suggestions: 1) Perhaps have certain boot camp sessions cater to beginner or advanced levels of fitness. As it stands, there are too many people in a class with too many different issues to target. It is kind of a mess. 2) If you are already an athlete or experienced in training, I suggest you forgo the boot camp sessions, and try out personal training (this may be more rigorous and tailored) Summary: After this bootcamp, I will not be returning to Force (I may not even finish the boot camp that was offered). It is located on the outskirt of town, far from where I work/live, and the workouts aren't really working out for me. I know a lot of other people who love this place (secretaries, neighbors, friends, etc.) but it just isn't my thing.

The coaching is literally world-class, and you WILL get the results you're searching for (ask yourself, are you reaching them with what you're doing now?)! Personally, I lost 90lbs and gained a fabulous family/community along with an amazing education in fitness, nutrition and myself. This gym and it's various programs really are for all levels. The bootcamp is great and there is no one to blame if you don't get a great workout in but yourself. People in a more advanced athletic state are expected to do more advanced movements with heavier weights at faster speeds. Key Words: High performance athlete training, student (youth) athlete training, weight loss, high intensity interval training, personal training, group training, nutrition, Olympic Weightlifting, strength and conditioning, safety, Functional Movement Screen (FMS), mobility, MovNat, CrossFit, Brazilian Ju Jitsu, Precision Nutrition, Whole 9/30, paleo/primal, boot camp, mindfulness, play/sport, constant improvement, support, acceptance, open space. State of the art gym (and clean!) with the best group of coaches, trainers and administrators in the business. I could go on and on. I've been doing this fitness/weight loss thing a long, long time and this gym is the height of what you can get. I've had to move out of state, and there's nothing I mourn more than the loss of Force. Give it a chance.

They have a co-ed cardio area, co-ed weight area (machines and free), women-only cardio area, women-only weight circuit, open workout room, and bathrooms/showers for both men and women. The workout room is open access whenever there aren't any classes going on. The room has free weights, kettlebells, mats, and a bunch of other accoutrements. Priority offers a bunch of fitness classes every week. If you buy a year-long membership, you can participate in unlimited classes at no extra charge. This is a great bonus and really helps in changing up your weekly fitness routines. Current classes include boot camp, pilates, sport yoga, kettlebells, and zumba. There are TVs in both of the cardio areas (3 in the co-ed and 2 in the women-only). If you bring headphones with an FM receiver, you can tune in to the sound for each of the TVs. The standard station settings are FOX News (yuck!) and Home & Garden Network, plus ESPN in the co-ed area. If you're there during staffed hours, though, the staff will gladly change one of the channels for you. The staff is great, very friendly and helpful. Membership rates are pretty much in line with other fitness centers - probably a good comparative value, once you figure in the unlimited classes. My only real complaint is that there is no water fountain.

I knew I couldn't cancel because I signed a year contract, which was no big deal. Fast forward 9 months. I forgot about my membership and unfortunately had my debit card stolen. I got a call from them and they said they ran my subscription and it came up lost/stolen. I said yes - and started to explain before I could the I was cut off and they demanded my new card number, with a lot of attitude. I don't remember the entire conversation but It was extremely rude. I gave them my new card number and hung up. I was trying to get my stolen money back, as well as deal with all of my bills and get my life back together. A 2 minute conversation would have cleared up the whole thing. The individual could not be bothered nor cared what I had to say. Fast forward to now. I noticed that it was still coming out. So I called and asked if I could cancel. I was met with a sarcastic voice asking if I had not read my contract where "it was BOTH CIRCLED AND UNDERLINED THAT SPECIFICALLY SAYS YOU MUST HAVE A WRITTEN NOTICE" A simple, I'm sorry sir it's company policy would have sufficed. My membership was over 2 years ago. I'm sorry I forgot what the contract said. So I went in person and canceled my gym membership, during a global pandemic. The company apparently has never heard of the internet. They force you to go in, so that you will forget and they can continue to charge you. Unethical. TL:DR rude customer service. Contracts designed to force customers to continue to pay. I recommend others to go somewhere else where the workers are more pleasant. On a side note. When I went in to cancel my membership the lady behind the counter was very helpful and nice.
