After 3 weeks with Top Notch Canine, he is so much better behaved! He will go to and stay on his "place" which he seems to actually enjoy vs. being crated so that I can get things done around the house. He will sit and stay there, even outside, until I tell him to come. He can walk by other people/dogs outside without causing a huge scene. Reagan picked him up and dropped him back off at my home, which is a huge benefit. She was able to come into my house and see how he acts and talk with me about my concerns. When she dropped him back off, she was here over an hour teaching me how to give commands, walk him, and use the e-collar. Before sending him to training, I was trying to avoid using an e-collar, because I didn't understand it's purpose when used correctly. With my dog's personality, none of the ignoring bad behavior/giving him treats for good behavior worked. After Reagan trained him with the e-collar, the vast majority of the time, I only have to use the tone feature, which feels exactly like a cell phone buzzing on vibrate. It works so well to quickly get his attention and correct his behavior. He's been home from training about one month, and I've only had to use the "static" button about 5 times, this is the feature that actually gives a shock, and I've used it when he starts nipping at people to quickly let him know that it is not ok. I was also worried that doing an intense training like this would alter his personality, but he seems to have genuinely loved his time at training, and he's even scheduled to go back for boarding when we go on our next vacation. This is also a HUGE benefit. A lot of other boarding options basically leave the dog in a kennel for their stay, unless going out for a bathroom break. I know that he'll have such fun and love being in a home environment and socializing with other well-behaved dogs while we're away. I'm so glad that we made this investment and now have a dog who is so much better behaved, and getting better every day. My girls LOVE being able to sit on the couch and pet him, and he is content to sit on his "place" or just be in a room with me (I work remotely from home) during the day without causing chaos. He is obviously still a puppy and sometimes makes bad decisions, but now I feel like I have the knowledge and tools to correct him and to better enjoy having him as a member of the family.

My husband didn't think much of it but upon further research I thought our bites could be coming from bed bugs. I called Dog Inspectors because they're the only company who's philosophy I agreed with. Chuck was so nice & was very informative about the situation. A few days later, Diana came with the dogs. She was great! Very informative also, she put me at ease & reassured me that if the inspection was a positive for bed bugs, that with the right steps, we could get rid of the problem pretty easily. Diana is a real pro with the dogs, she has such a bond with her canine coworkers that it made the whole experience enjoyable to watch. I rescued my girl, Ruby, in December 2018. Ruby had been adopted once and returned to the shelter…read morebefore she picked me out of the people who were looking at her. We got off to a pretty good start at home. House training was quick and basic "sit" and "down" commands came fairly easily to her. Ruby is a Lab/Pit mix and I mistakenly diagnosed as aggression what actually was resource guarding. I've had dogs constantly for over 30 years and have done pretty well with basic training on my own, but this whole resource guarding thing was new to me and I knew that I needed real help by someone who understood Miss Ruby. I am so thankful that I met Scottie Greene. His approach of training the trainer, as well as the dog, was exactly what Ruby and I both needed. I used to have to keep her on a 30 foot lead rope when we went outdoors at home, to give her room to have a little bit of freedom to play. Now, she gets to go outside and run full speed ahead with no lead and without the e-collar. She loves being able to run freely and I love seeing her happy. I can now take Ruby anywhere with me and she behaves like a perfect dog. (I may be a bit biased, but I'm convinced that she IS a perfect dog!) Ruby's last training class was at a restaurant with Scottie and his wife Karrie and 2 of my best friends. With the exception of our group and the waiter, I don't think that anyone else in the restaurant even knew that Ruby was under the table. We have since gone on to get Ruby certified as an AKC CGC and Urban CGC dog. I can't say enough good things about Scottie, Karrie, and Sandra. They are all top notch trainers.
