Been going to this gym for almost a year now. Nothing really changes inside the gym as far as equipment, it's a bit dated but does the job done. I just found out the gym will be closing by the end of June 30th. Kind of a bummer. Needs a good owner/ investors! read more

so I have been going to this gym for 8 years now. it used to be much better but now it seems like most things that are needed are broken. treadmills have some rips in the tread. the pecdec machine is out and has been out for months with no pegs for the weights. the benches are mostly ripped but taped over. The leg extension is broken and pinched another members legs and that was scary. The gym still gets the job done but there are about 5-6 members that all are good friends and we have been thinking of switching gyms sooner rather than later. read more

The good: Gym doesn't get very busy so this is a dream while doing super-sets or tri-sets or even having to wait for equipment. The bad: I've been an Anytime Fitness member for going on 4 years. Out of the many locations I've been to - this is by far the dirtiest (actual dirtballs of hair/dust are easily spotted around the floor). I'm new to the area and now looking for a new gym because this location is that sub-par...I'm considering joining Planet Fitness if that gives you an idea of the state of this gym. Essentially every single piece of equipment in the place is very old and functioning as such. The newest piece of equipment in here is the TRX - otherwise, everything else is old and poorly functioning. TLDR: It's a disgusting and poorly taken care of gym, but it gets the job done. read more

This place was ok but, now it is seriously lacking in cleanliness. When there is paper towel and tissue all of the rest room floor and workout floor; cleaning should be priority Number 1. When you see cigarette butts on the floor of the gym; it's time for some better up Absolutely gone to the bottom of the barrel as a franchise location. Was informed today by staff that the owner no longer puts out towels for the membership to disinfect the equipment. Absolute dump the worst AF I have been to in my life. I travel for work and have seen what a good AF gym looks like since I have seen over 100 different AFs in the last year. I have Active & Fit through my health insurance. I decided to try Anytime Fitness last night. I looked up the gym and found they were staffed until 7:00 pm. I got there around 6:40 and the office was dark. Thankfully a gym member let me in. I was not impressed. The equipment is old. However, I got in a decent workout. This gym is close to home so I figure it would do if I didn't want to drive somewhere else. I tried calling the gym today during the posted staff hours but no one answered. My call went to voicemail. I would be fine leaving a message but the box is full. Guess that's a sign to quit wasting my time on this place. read more

This gym is full of broken machines, weights that are falling apart. It is filthy dirty and has a ghost of a staff. I came from great Anytime Gyms in Macomb Twp. to this hole in the wall when I was transferred to this area. It was so bad I canceled my membership after years with a real Anytime gym. Your best bet is to find another gym. read more

After moving to this area my membership has now been transferred to this gym. It is dirty, in need of many new and additional pieces of equipment and they have stupid rules like, don't throw the medicine ball on the floor it ruins the ball. B.S. that is what this ball is for! They have more rules plastered around the gym than Planet Fitness. There are no classes offered or personal trainers that I am aware of. Having come from a well equipped Anytime gym this place is sub-par. The personality of this gym is also not very good. Unfriendly too. read more

I recently joined this location. The personnel are friendly and extremely helpful with any questions I had about membership and equipment. I found the equipment in very good working condition. Love this place as it is convenient and parking is never an issue. Haven't had any problems. read more

I've used several anytime fitness locations throughout Michigan, Indiana and Florida and this Is by far the worst one I've been in. The equipment it worn out or broken and the staff and management are unresponsive to complaints about having air fresheners plugged in spraying toxic fumes into the air while you are trying to workout. Clean more and use less air freshener, for people with breathing problems or compromised breathing issues air fresheners can send them into an asthma attack, which could put them in the hospital. I will never go back to this facility again. Terrible read more

I used this gym recently via the free 7-day pass on the Corporate website. When I signed up for the pass it gave me the option to use Facebook as an information option and you would receive an additional 7 days free. Upon arrival I was informed they did not honor the additional 7-days because they were a franchise and had the option. However no where on the website or e-mail I received confirming the pass explained the club reserved the option to honor the pass. After expressing my displeasure I signed a few liability waivers and started my first day of working out in the club. The club itself is small compared to say a 24 hour fitness, LA Fitness or Planet Fitness. Their equipment is relatively new (as new as the club) however a few pieces were broken during the trial. Two of the pieces were fixed the next day and the other is still broke but is not necessarily the clubs fault as the part is on back-order. If your looking for a lot of cardio equipment this isn't the gym. They boast 5 treadmills, 2 spinners, 1 recline bike, 3 eliptical and 1 step machine. What they do have is a good amount of free weights, circuit equipment which dominate the floor space and a small studio. oh and I should mention they have no locker rooms or lockers and one shower which is part of a unisex bathroom. They do have a few ikea shelves where you can store your stuff like keys and bags. Most everybody I witnessed at the gym pretty much kept to themselves while working out. There were a few odd birds and a fair amount of people more interested in the weights than cardio but to each his own. My only problem with this gym is the price and fees which they say are currently discounted to $25 a month with a year membership. To me the cost with fees ($64 signup) seems fairly high for the size of the gym and what they offer. If this gym was $15 a month I would have signed up immediately mainly because the gym manager was pleasant and accommodating. If this gym could expand and add more cardio equipment plus expand the studio a bit they would have a hit on their hands. However they would need to keep the price point low at no more than $25/mo. 12/01/11 - I signed a contract to be a member at the gym and 1 month in I am super happy with the decision. This gym is perfect for me. When I am not on the road I find myself in there almost every day. read more

I joined this gym when they first opened in 2009. 9 years later and they still have the exact same equipment which tells you how outdated it is. The ellipticals and treadmills are falling apart and they do nothing to address them. I ran into the cleaning guy one late evening night and noticed he was only cleaning the bathrooms. I asked if he cleans the equipment and he said that the club doesn't pay him for that and they count on the actual members to clean the equipment. Do you know how many germs and illnesses there are on this stuff?! Disgusting! After jumping around from gym to gym for years my wife and I rejoined here in July 2017. Shortly thereafter life kind of caught up to us and we stopped exercising as much. In november of 2017 I contacted the club via email (nevermind ever trying to call them. they will never answer the phone or message during business hours) and asked them that they place our memberships on hold until we were ready to get back to the gym. I finally got a female on the phone and gave her both membership numbers and she confirmed that she would place the memberships on a 1-year hold and all we had to do to reactivate them was give them a call. Simple enough, right? Wrong! In February of this year my wife received a $189 bill from a collections agency representing Anytime Fitness. Of course the person that took my call did not place her account on hold like she told me she did and now we have a collections agency after us. That's just one instance that only affects us and I know it might be isolated but it does not change the fact that this place is disgustingly dirty and outdated. Anytime Fitness is a decent gym. My husband and I were two of the first to join in 2009 when it opened. We were not looking for tanning or locker rooms or anything fancy. We loved the idea of having a key fob so we could go whenever we wanted. The equipment is well maintained and the place is super clean. We stopped going because my husband hurt his shoulder at work and now may need surgery. We do wish AF had more room for more equipment, such as more treadmills and some stepping machines and few more recumbent bikes. I got somewhat upset by the fact that every time I wanted to use strength equipment, people would stay on the weights or fast track for over 45 minutes...staff is not there most of the time to ask that people give others a chance on equipment. Also most of the time, the seated machines hand grips and seats were left damp by others or they would not return the machines to lowest setting--I think we were the only ones who wiped off and re-adjusted---one time I almost hurt my back when I went to sit at a machine and the setting was at 260 pounds...NOT cool! I learned to look before I worked out and I also bought fitness gloves to wear. Also, we wish AF had a better entry area to hang up coats (winter time) and put personal items...the IKEA cubes don't cut it, the entry area is too small. Jason used to own this AF, and he sold it, so now I don't know now how the place is, but it was okay when we went...when we stopped going (June '13) it seemed like the emphasis was turning to cardio classes like cross fit and Zumba. read more
