**There are 4 locations in the Charlotte area, check IG for more!**…read more Divadance is so different from anything I've ever experienced and is truly transforming my life. I promise this review is not sponsored in any way, I just have a full heart of gratitude for how amazing it has been to be free and have fun with movement again I moved to Charlotte during Covid and it was hard to make friends. Even without that, it just seems like it's a little hard to find your people coming to such a big city. I didn't want my only community surrounded around my work and I'm not really huge on bars, etc. I really loved dance as a kid and got away from it for various reasons: feeling out of place physically, time, money, not wanting to commit to learning technique all the time and just life in general. One of my friends introduced me to Divadance and I could tell after her first class how empowered she felt. My first class was awesome - I went to the Fort Mill location and Julia S was the instructor that day. (SO encouraging and fun). I am naturally an introvert but the community time where we chat for a minute has become one of my favorite things. I love that we're all different sizes, cultures, ages - it's really such a beautiful thing to be a part of! For my fellow introverts or future friends that like to google street view the parking situation (IYKYK) - here are more details... You arrive to the location and you're greeted in, class begins with community time where we have an icebreaker to chat for a minute about. It's super casual! Then there's a warmup and we start to learn the moves together. Everyone there is learning the moves along with you at the same time and having fun. We laugh a lot. Come as you are! Come comfy in workout clothes or come as dressed up as you want! Each location is truly a judgement free environment and I've never felt more comfortable or supported around so many women. It's really a special place to be. There is a part at the end that is completely optional to record the choreography and I SO recommend doing this, even if you just keep it to yourself! I'm learning a lot about my body language, mobility and confidence through those. It's a great, fun workout too. This year I've lost over 20 lbs and I am definitely giving credit to the addition of Divadance in my life to this! It's a great sweat, but I'm finding more confidence through each class and I'm showing up different in other areas of my life. A real game changer for mental health and I think it's great for my mind to try and learn something new even if the moves aren't perfect! It's truly been a blessing to join this community. Kari is absolutely amazing - All of the instructors are fabulous and each location has something special and different to it. I joined as a member and love trying different locations based on my schedule but you can get passes or drop in. If any of this resonated with you - take it as your sign to come try a class! Check social media for the class schedule and locations (also an app!). See you soon, friend!

They turn off the lights when class begins which I've never experienced that. The lobby, locker area and studio was honestly the cleanest studio I've ever seen. First class is free! I repeat, first class is free!…read more Thanks to Yelp, I discovered CycleBar and worked with Julianne to get a large group (30) of coworkers to come try out a morning session. Pleasant customer service was there from the start, and has continued to be there. I ended up signing up for a monthly unlimited membership, and I have been a total of 6 times in 13 days! A membership is a great way to challenge yourself to get into a routine or to pick up something new. I've taken classes with Erika, Allen and Darby and all have had great playlists and energy. They have some new instructors debuting in October 2021! CycleBar has morning, lunch, evening and weekend classes. I usually pick based on the time that fits my schedule, but the app makes it easy to pick based on time or instructor. They also do theme rides, like Happy Hour, EDM, East v West Hip Hop and more. They run referral deals and offer discounts. Now let me tell you about the studio! Very clean, very modern. You can check in via your app or iPads in the reception room. You grab a pair of cycling shoes (provided and always disinfected). There is a locker for every bike. When you book a class, you pick a bike - the app shows you where each bike is located in relation to the instructor - and your locker number corresponds to your bike number. They ALWAYS write your name on the locker for each class! It's got a lock, so all you have to do is set the combo and ride. The bathrooms have your essentials, especially for all my ladies who may need an extra hair tie or two. Plus, it always smells amazing. Each rider also gets a towel which is waiting for you on the bike! At the end of the class, shoes and towels get placed in bins for cleaning. I've seen the laundry machine in the back and the team disinfect shoes, plus clean the bikes after each class. Plenty of COVID mitigation factors in place. They also have a water refill station, a plus for those earth conscious folks! Need help setting up your bike? The team's got your back! Now the ride... lights go low, then dark. It's just you, the instructor, and sets of wheels spinning. I love that you can truly focus on you and your ride. The ambiance is definitely a wow factor. The beats are jamming. I've done 270+ minutes of riding so far and the songs are always different and pump me up. Sometimes the leader board will pop up on the big screens, and sometimes the class' total RPMs, calories burned, and more, are displayed. But for the most part, the big screen stays off so you can truly tune into the ride. 45 minutes goes quick and you don't find yourself dreading the ride or waiting for it to be over. After each ride, you get an email telling you how you did in that class and linking the playlist too. You can then hop on Spotify and find the jam you just fell in love with. I find myself booking a class within 2 hours of start time, at the end of my work day. They have about 50 bikes and there is always space available for those who are considering signing up at the last minute. And for my planners, you can sign up for classes days in advance. I definitely recommend trying a class out to experience the studio and then decide what type of membership fits your lifestyle!

They provide you with shoes, towels, lockers, and there are amenities in the bathrooms and locker room. The bikes are in great condition and it's a nice, clean studio. I used to regularly go to SoulCycle and am in relatively good shape, and the class still kicked my butt. I like cycling classes because it never feels like anyone is paying attention to anyone else. They do have a leaderboard here and you can choose to not have your results shown. They email you your results afterwards, so can track how you did. I will definitely come to more classes when I want more of a community compared to what I get on the peloton. Single classes are $23 and monthly unlimited for new members is $99. This is a great deal compared to SoulCycle. I only took one star off because I don't like the style of shoe they use here (made it hard for me to clip in and out), I found the dashboard on the bike distracting, and it was sometimes hard to hear what gear and rpm I should be on. Otherwise, no complaints from me!

I arrived about 15 minutes late for the 5:45 class and opted to wait to attend the 7pm class. I am thankful it was offered. This location is a partnership with the Midtown location - verify shared options in advance. The class was taught by Leila with her Hip-Hop flare. She took us on a great ride with an all body workout! After the workout, you can expect to receive your riding results as compared to others in the room - I am awaiting receipt of mine. I am giving this location 4/5 stars because the fans in the room are geared towards the 2nd and 3rd row of bicycles (I was in the 2nd row). They were too much for me. Apparently, they are unable to turn off one - all are on one switch that is either on or off. However, riding shoes (clip in) and towels are available at no charge, and water bottles were offered at the time of my visit. Other than that, I strongly recommend you check out the Blast of free rides June 8 through 18th. Rides are offered throughout the day. If you are new to cycling, I strongly recommend you arrive early to receive an overview of the bike and learn how to set it up to your specifications. Oh, more importantly, you must reserve your spot online in advance as walking in is are subject to availability. Note parking is scarce until the deck is completed. Enjoy!

The place itself is inside a larger building and in a nice location, close enough to the highway but off the beaten path enough to not be crazy packed with traffic. Sign up was easy and convenient online. Come prepared in tighter fitting (but comfortable!) clothing that covers your underarms and legs (to prevent burning!) and minimal or no jewelry. You definitely don't want to risk getting it hung on the silks! Oh and definitely bring some water. You're guaranteed to be a little (or a lot!) sore the next day. Jamie was our instructor and she was phenomenal! She was so fun, patient, and encouraging. As a first timer, this was very intimidating but Jamie made us feel like pros! The class starts with foundational elements: stretches, a warm up, then basics on the silks apparatus such as foot wrapping and pulling yourself up. We gradually introduced more shapes and the foot knot. The class flew by and was so much fun! It's truly an addicting workout/art form and Jamie's skills were so impressive. I can't wait to go back!
