The service call had been closed. AHS was told by the technician, TREY, that he forgot to submit the claim which is why I had not heard anything. So now that they spoke to Trey, the summary is that the whole system needs to be replaced, which is NOT what I was told when Trey was standing in my garage. I repeat his name because i just got off the phone him. He's claiming he knows nothing about this service call because he's "just a dispatcher" and not a technician. Tried transferring me to the ghost technician who was going to explain the diagnosis to me. When I called him out on it, he denied being the person on a ladder in my garage, telling me it was something wrong with the motor. Which IS covered by AHS. DO NOT USE TDH. Ever. Just buy a new system on your own before you let these people set foot on your property. Don't be fooled by the positive fake reviews. *NOTE: If anyone has dealt with Trey, they'll know he has a very distinct voice. So distinct I almost commented on it when he was working on the opener. I asked how much the spring repair would cost; I was told $249. I then asked if the technician was a contractor, and he explained he worked for PD but was paid by the job. I then asked what the final price would be for replacing the spring on a single door (9'x7'). He then gave me a total price of $522. I then explained the I had a spring replaced at my other house for $225. His demeanor changed and he started talking about OD. He said I would call PD out after to fix what OD messed up. He also said that OD makes their own springs insinuating that OD springs were inferior. He showed me a date in the tension piece on the spring that indicated the date the spring was made, insinuating that OD would use old springs.
