They also made it clear that this charge wouldn't be applied toward the repair, which already didn't sit right with me. They did a quick visual check for a leak and my misfire, then told me I'd have to pay for two hours of mechanic labor to diagnose further. This felt excessive and not in line with how most reputable shops operate. The very next day, I went to another high-end European/exotic car shop. They scanned my car for free, visually identified the leak immediately, diagnosed the engine issue, and fixed everything the next day. My car now runs like brand new -- all without the inflated "staged diagnostic" charges. Cupelli's might be fine if you want to overpay just to be told what's wrong, but in my experience, there are much better Euro shops in the area who are honest, transparent, and far more efficient.
