Some business owners make their money through volume, hard work and repeat/referral business. Others make theirs by trying to hit a home run on every call, preying on people with poor negotiating skills, those who are in a bind and people with weakened social skills such as the I'll and some elderly. These guys are the latter. After answering all of HIS questions to determine how much I was worth to him, the guy I was texting with gave me the highest price I'd received. I asked how much it would be just to haul one of the piles of junk we had and, instead of answering the only question I was able to ask, he replied,"What's your budget". What?!? This guy obviously has an uncanny knack for presenting a bill for exactly all of the money you can spend. That's not the worst part... when I answered him with a price that was closer to reality, he didn't even respond. Nothing. After a couple professional attitude and skills. Then I sent a message stating that his original quote was fine. It took less than a minute to get a reply. Choose whomever you like if you need junk removal. But if you choose AOC, you can imagine the type of service you'll get after they have your money. Update: The professionalism doesn't stop there. After posting my review, I got another text from the owner. He was pretending to follow up to see if I still needed him, but actually, he read my review so he sarcastically thanked me for my review of his "service" on Yelp. I'm sure it will stop soon.
