On top of that, I was quoted almost $900 just to replace the heating element and thermostat alone. Another plumber fixed the entire problem correctly, safely, and professionally for $100. This was not a mistake or a difference of opinion--it felt intentionally misleading and predatory. This kind of pricing and upselling preys on homeowners who don't know better.
