And yet another story of an amazing remodel job by Kai and the boys from AOK cabinets & stone. About the same time that Kai and the boys were remodeling our kitchen I was downstairs trying to figure out how I was going to fix that mess. Opening a moldy can of worms and feeling very overwhelmed with the situation I fell back on AOK cabinets & stone to fix the problem. The downstairs unit of our house had extensive water damage. We are extracting gallons of water daily with a dehumidifier and the whole place was very moldy as a consequence. All the old cabinetry reeked of mold, and the existing vinyl flooring was covering up the old original floor that was also moldy, and had termite damage. After Kai's inspection and discussion of our plans, Rocky, Sean and Min with a few others, were turned loose to demo the place out. They ripped off the old cabinetry and walls, and all the flooring revealing mold and mildew. They chipped away the old plaster that was bubbling from moisture seeping through the block wall and exposed the metal studs that were rusting out at the bases. After the kitchen and bathroom were completely gutted, our excellent Painter, Anthony Vargas, "Macky" from high-quality painting oil based primered the entire place and sealed all the block walls and concrete floor. After that was done, the boys went to work. They repaired all the metal stud and replaced all the electrical outlets and the drywall on the newly furred out walls. Re-hung all the cabinetry replaced all the floor and virtually fixed everything that was wrong and left behind by the previous owners. And in between replacing everything, Macky was there to repaint the entire inside. Our pictures should tell the story . But I will tell you how impressed and satisfied we are with the work that all the boys at AOK cabinetry & stone did on this remodeling job. Again, all very focused, professional, friendly, and hard-working guys they knocked out the whole job in a few weeks. We were amazed at how beautiful the place now looks and are so happy and feel so good about it all. We highly recommend Kai and AOK cabinetry & stone for all your remodeling needs. AOK renovated the majority of the interior of our home, including popcorn ceiling removal throughout, updated lighting, new flooring, full kitchen and bathroom renovations, and converting two living-room closets into a beautiful dry bar. I called and visited several counter top business on Oahu. Everyone was nice but we didn't really feel a warm customer reception, understandable due to the volume of customers I guess. I happen to google counter top business in Kapolei because we live in Kapolei and I was tired of driving into town to get the same reception. Google found AoK Cabinets and so I called. Kai one of the owners answered the phone and was immediately willing to answer all my questions. My wife and I drove over and met Kai. He was warm and eager to help where the other places fell a bit short. We spent some time discussing our project and after some back and forth we shook hands and off we went. We settled on the material manufacture, the color and the size. Kai came to the house to take exact measurements and went back to confirm the material, unfortunately he did not have enough to cover our project. I found what I wanted from another provider and he said that's fine but offerd to do the installation for us. Wow. The customer service and his team were exactly what we were looking for, friendly, punctual, and most importantly clean. We stepped into the showroom of Aok Cabinets & Stone and were kindly greeted by Kai, the business manager. The showroom is very attractive. We were impressed by the wide variety of countertops, cabinets, and much more. We were looking to replace our guest and master bathroom vanity. Kai came over to our house to take measurements and gave us a scheduled timeframe for the demolition of the old and installation of the new. Kai sent his project manager, Rocky and crew to do the demo and installation in both bathrooms which took a total of four days to complete. They were very courteous, efficient, and hardworking. We had been looking to redo our kitchen for many years and once we had the chance, went to see Kai at AOK Cabinets at their Kapolei showroom. The process couldn't have been easier. After looking at the different styles and options we were able to choose our cabinets, kitchen sink, flooring, walk-in shower and doors, and two bathroom vanities. We were looking for someone to renovate our ruined kitchen (our tenants did not take care of it..) A lot of people made us wait and wait for estimates and dates they could start but not Aok!
