It's such a rare pleasure these days to find a company that not only lives up to their promises, but exceeds them in every way. If it helps your company prosper with more business, please feel free to share this letter of recommendation with potential customers. I've been in the building trades in one way or another for over 40 years, and I have rarely seen this level of quality and craftsmanship. Looking back, it's hard to believe that we got an entirely new kitchen, from teardown to completion in eight days. And all the work was done in five days because our unit wasn't available on three of the days. More than that, your company was flexible enough to adjust and schedule work to begin earlier than scheduled when the contractor doing the repiping work on our unit finished early. This meant your crew begin work on Tuesday, October 21st, tearing out the complete existing kitchen, including upper and lower cabinets and countertops, sink and related plumbing and the island cabinets and countertop. In one day. The next two days were not open as the piping contractor had to do finish work in the same area. But your plumber came in on Friday, October 22nd and expertly put in the plumbing stub outs for the sink, the refrigerator water line and waste line. Saturday, October 25th, was most impressive. Your crew, starting at 9 am basically built our new kitchen in a day. They installed all the new upper and lower cabinets, the island and put in plywood bases for all the countertops. Sunday, October 26th, was a day off, as no work can be done in our condo building on that day. Monday, October 27th, your countertop specialist came in and measured for the cutting of the granite countertops. The regular crew came in at 9:30 and began some of the detail work, putting doors and drawers in position, setting electrical outlets and repairing some spalled concrete around the windows. They also repainted the bare concrete areas to match the color of the cabinets. In every aspect of finish work your crew showed intense attention to detail and made the place sing. Even more impressive, your crew came back in the afternoon and installed the two sections of the main countertop and the three sections of the island countertop. They joined these on site with such precision that you have to really work to see the joining line which is barely noticeable. With all the basic cabinetry and countertops finished, what remained to be done on Tuesday, October 28th, was fine tuning of the doors and drawers, which all close with a soft push, sliding themselves closed on the last six inches. This does require them to be adjusted correctly and perfectly lined up, which your crew executed flawlessly. They detailed the electrical outlets, installed the kitchen faucet and refrigerator water line and, when the new Insinkerator garbage disposal unit was defective, waited for me to take it back to Lowes and exchange it for a new unit. That took an hour, but your crew used the time to polish up, clean up and generally make the unit sparkle. They installed the replacement Insinkerator, which worked perfectly, and they were DONE. All of this in FIVE DAYS. I'd like to give a shout out to all the crew: Hui, Roy, Ming, Mr. Li, Hong, WenWu and Henry. They were all cheerful, observant and very resourceful whenever something needed extra attention. And finally, your estimate was very reasonably priced and the final bill was exactly what you had outlined in the estimate. My comments stand, how is it possible that a business can provide an accurate estimate without even knowing the scope of work I requested? The female assumed that I would contract them for demo work in the estimate, evidently it never occurred to her that I would be doing that myself. Additionally, they have no idea what the physical dimensions of the showers are, assuming, once again that they are of "standard" dimensions. We had CAA Hawaii cabinet refinish our two small bathrooms. #1 was a tub with shower and # 2 was refinishing a tile shower. New quartz interiors from ceiling to floor were installed. Both got new frameless sliding glass doors which I purchased separately along with the tiles for the shower floor and all new plumbing fixtures which they installed during the renovation process. We recently purchased a condo in Honolulu and needed a contractor to help with renovating the kitchen and bathroom. We needed the shower to be completely demolished, the toilet replaced and new tiles and countertops in the bathroom and kitchen. The renovations were fairly extensive. The biggest challenge is that with travel restrictions we were not able to get to the island while the renovations were taking place. As a result we needed to rely on our contractor for a lot while working with them remotely including assistance with picking out materials, assistance with scheduling the actual renovations and, of course, implantation of the renovations. After looking at several contractors we decided to go with CAA. They had everything we were looking for including people that could assist with demolition, plumbing, electrical, drywall, tile work and countertop installation. Their pricing was very reasonable and surprisingly the entire project was completed on time and on budget (to the penny) despite several hiccups that occurred during the renovation project. I can say enough about our project manager (CuiBi). She held our hands throughout this project and provided invaluable assistance throughout the process, including assistance with picking out the countertop, tiles, etc. CuiBi and the entire team at CAA worked with us every step of the way and we are thrilled with the renovations. When the renos were completed CuiBi even went to the condo and walked us through the entire condo on FaceTime so that we could see the work that was done. We are so grateful to CuiBi and the team at CAA. If you are looking to renovate your condo on Oahu look no further than the team at CAA. We chose CAA after extensive research. Still, we've found that other contractors, handymen, and craftspeople rarely live up to the stars they'd earned on review sites. Getting a return call can be hard. Not so for CAA. I reached out online, received a contact the very next business day, and within two weeks (because of my schedule) Lina was at the house taking measurements and making design suggestions (all of which were spot on). Ours was a basic reno in that we were not moving plumbing or significantly changing electrical, but as happens with old, single-wall homes in Hawai'i, nothing is as easy as it appears. First time renovations are very scary because I didn't really know what to expect and I was worried about my pockets being empty after renovations. Decided to call CAA and was spoken with CuiBi over the phone. She was very polite and patient with all my questions that I had. She asked to take a few pictures and take some measurements and email it to her. She was able to give me a quote and a diagram of my kitchen. CAA quoted me a little over half the cost of what others were giving me! Next day stopped by the shop which was very neat and clean. Talked to CuiBi and we also decided to renovate our bathroom vanity because they were able to keep within our budget. Booked the renovation date which was in 3 weeks. Whatever questions we had during the 3 weeks, CuiBi answered right away. Workers came out on time and was very polite. Didn't spoke much English but that wasn't even an issue. Everyday we had new workers coming in and every single one of them was very respectful. During renovations we had some holes in the wall that was already there but the workers patched and painted for us when they didn't have to. Also, they informed us that our dish machine was broken and leaking water. They kindly took the time to clean the water out and dry everything. Also, during the renovations, we've noticed one of the new cabinet face was slightly damaged, we called CuiBi to inform her. They came with a new one the next day to change out the damaged one, no questions asked! Everything was done within 4 days. Where as others told us it could take up to a month. My wife and I decided to change our Kitchen cabinets and Countertops due to needing an update. We went to five different companies to see the showrooms and get estimates for white cabinets and quartz countertops and they all were around the same price with little variances in price. What made it hard was they all had different color quartz and made from different countries, so we couldn't get equal estimates comparing apples to apples. After communicating with Cuibi of CAA cabinets on yelp, we arranged a time to visit the showroom and meet up with cuibi on a Saturday. We walked in to the office and showroom and met with Cuibi and right from the start I knew she was very knowledgeable and pleasant to talk to. At first we were going to enhance our existing cabinets to white and install quartz counter tops, but when talking to her she suggested we take a look at the price of replacing the cabinets and compare to enhancing. She said the price of new compared to enhancing will be maybe a little more or almost the same, so we had her give us some estimates for new cabinets. Cuibi sent us the estimate a day or so later and at first we decided to stick with enhancing and purchase the quartz countertops and installation with Cuibi. The following day my wife and I change, and I decided to go with new cabinets instead of enhancing, because there was a little difference in pricing between the two and we would be getting new updated cabinets for a very reasonable price. Cuibi was very professional and easy to talk to and gave us great advice. It doesn't stop there. We arranged a date for installation of cabinets and countertops and the installers were very good at what they were doing and worked hard. It took a couple days to complete the job and it looks fantastic. The only down fall is communicating with some of the installers due to language barrier, but we made it work. They speak some english. Not a problem with communicating with cuibi and office staff, they speak very good english, so if any issues, you can call the office. In short after all the estimates we got and dealings with different companies, we were extremely happy selecting CAA Cabinets and definitely recommend them to complete your kitchen needs, or any other jobs (bathroom). We replaced all cabinets in our kitchen and our upstairs bathroom vanity with CAA Cabinets four years ago.  One hanging cabinet next to the hood in the kitchen has termite and the right side of the vanity cabinet upstairs has termite. Our tenants moved out yesterday and when we cleaned the vanity upstairs, the termite droppings covered the entire back bottom on the right.  The kitchen one covers the entire counter next to the stove and it keeps dropping as soon as we wiped it clean.   Most of the reviews here are newly installed.  Don't be surprised to find termite in a few years.  These cabinets do not make it past 4 years. 5/11/2021 update. Termite company inspected and droppings from the two cabinets started from 3 years ago. They will use orange oil for the entire house to stop the termite from spreading to other areas. This will need to be kept up every year. The contractor came to inspect and said that termites were already in the cabinet before being installed in our condo. 5/20/2021 update. Kilauea Pest returned for a second treatment as there are termite worms and droppings from the hanging cabinet to the right side of the exhaust hood. It is confirmed that termites were brought into the condo with the CAA cabinets. We bought plugs to plug all the tiny holes on the inside of the cabinets where you can adjust the shelves. I will contact CAA to see if they will address this, and will provide another update on CAA's response to termites in their cabinets. read more

CAA is the best. I had to rebuild my kitchen after a flood in my apartment and being abandoned by the general contractor. A neighbor recommended CAA. I showed up with my friend, our ideas, and our measurements and in about a half hour, Suha had created a plan, complete with graphics and a cost estimate. I had the easiest time reaching them and changing my mind about things. The prices are super reasonable. My kitchen turned out really beautifully. A few weeks later, I discovered a bathroom vanity and attached closet damaged by termites, and CAA did all the work again. Suha is so professional, cordial, and willing to help with anything. The cabinet builders do everything, including plumbing and electrical outlet reinstallation. I couldn't be happier. When I get to my bathroom remodel, they will be the first stop I make. Aren't we all so used to getting the runaround when we're trying to get things done? We couldn't be happier with our new kitchen. Lina was our designer and Suha was our project account manager who saw the project through. CAA was quick to respond and easy to work with. They were patient as we dealt with our building plumbing problems. Our original kitchen was kind of a dump -- old cabinets, super cheap materials that were not space-efficient. CAA came and demo'd the old kitchen and took everything away. When CAA came back to install the cabinets, the parking was difficult and our apartment was small, but the installers figured out how to work around these snags. Very efficient, and can-do problem solvers. Our new kitchen was installed in a matter of three or four days -- I couldn't believe it. We've been actively using our kitchen since late October (it's March as I write this, five months later), and the function of the shelves, drawers, spice rack and lazy Susan are all reliable and convenient. Honestly, I can't stand renovating. I mean, I hate it. And I don't use the word hate often. Having said that, CAA made it much more manageable for me, or really, CuiBi. 5 stars for her customer service. I'm docking a star due to some of the workmanship of the actual crew who did the reno. I went into the store to get a quote for countertops and cabinets for the kitchen. CuiBi was available to answer questions, draft up a computer diagram and estimate. She wasn't at all pushy, I didn't feel like she was after a sale, but friendly and willing to answer any questions I had. I went to a couple more stone & cabinet stores. CAA quoted a much more reasonable price than the other places, and have their own employees (not outside contractors) do the job. I think this might be one reason it's more affordable, but also, easier to coordinate a schedule while holding the crew accountable. So, I went back to CAA and spoke to CuiBi again, putting a 50% payment for my order (the final amount was due when the reno was done). We went over the finer details and she was able to make good suggestions as to materials, and how to work within my budget. Everything was itemized, including each material bought, and each piece of labor (e.g. demo, preparation of stone, installation of cabinets etc). Basically, that means, if you want to demo and haul away your old stuff yourself or hire someone different, you can take that item off the invoice. Or if you just want to buy the cabinets and install it yourself or get your own contractor, then you just pay for the materials and prep. In my case, I paid for everything to get done by them, since as I said earlier, I hate doing renos and it was easier for me to have just one party take care of it. We were able to schedule an appointment quickly for Lina, to visit the property to finalize measurements. Soon after, the work started. The work crew didn't speak English, but CuiBi was consistently available via phone, e-mail and text. Certain things had to get redone, in part due to errors by the workers. I had to make a modification as well, and they accommodated. I ended up changing the order along the way (a few additions), and CuiBi kept me updated throughout. When she saw there was an issue with the reno, she provided photos, asked what I wanted to do and proceeded accordingly. If I felt something needed attention, I could text her a photo and she followed-up promptly. I also found some damage, unrelated to this project, to the wall tiles in my bathroom and asked if I could hire the crew to take care of it. They did, at no extra charge. In the end, so long as I and CuiBi stayed on top of the workmanship, it got completed fine. There was damage to the bottom of one of the new cabinets, presumably done during installation. The workers messily caulked the crack, though it was quite noticeable and in the centre of the cabinet. A toe-kick was also partially splintered. I told CuiBi. Although the crew could come back to correct it at no charge, I said I would deal with it myself, and in return was provided a good discount on the final bill to compensate - which I preferred over having them come back, since it would save me time and work better for my budget anyway. So that was my choice. Overall, I would go back to them again. I would highly suggest working with CuiBi, she's awesome. She's friendly, patient, personable, able to provide good suggestions that aren't based in sales but in client's interests, answer questions, and just makes the whole experience less stressful. I trust her. My suggestion to others would be to make sure you check on the work thoroughly as it progresses or at least when it's done before the final payment, and document anything that needs to be redone or changed, so they can take care of it immediately. This review is looong overdue! Over a 5 year period, I have remodeled 3 apartments that I own. In the first apartment, I wasn't sure what type of scope the renovation and remodel would entail so I hired a contractor for the kitchen and bathroom cabinetry/counter work. The work was expensive. I realized that I could have been more involved with the selections and quickly learnt that I could have done this myself if I had invested my time in carefully selecting the right cabinet installer. So in my second remodel, I decided to eliminate the contractor altogether. I scouted around for cabinetry and counter tops and researched 3 vendors, to include Yelp reviews. I ended up using CAA Hawaii Cabinet in a full studio remodel in 2016 where they completed both the kitchen and bathroom cabinets and counters. I read Yelp reviews and decided to ask for Felix... his name was mentioned in many of the reviews and they were right! Felix was terrific to work with! He is excellent in follow-up and worked within my budget, and stayed within my requirements. In fact, everyone at CAA Hawaii was so helpful and professional. I was so pleased with them that I used them again in 2018 for a partial remodel in another apartment. This time they replaced the granite counter top with a pre-existing cabinet and replaced a full bathroom cabinet and counter. CAA Hawaii Cabinets comes highly recommended. They are service oriented, polite and professional. It's 2019 and I would still highly recommend them. Thank you. Their installers are very quick and efficient. Installers are mainly mandarin speaking, so you'd have to converse with them in sign; with a lot of smiles and pointing. Be sure you are specific with where you want things placed and that you share this with the installers. Installers are very hardworking and don't seem to take a water or meal break. Terrific folks. This review is based on customer service and store. Our family has a brand new kitchen we are building so we have been looking for reasonable quotes. We searched on YELP of course and if we went. This was one of the places we stopped at. Workers were very friendly greeting us as soon as we walked in offering to help us w/any questions we had. Display room was awesome and I really liked the selections of tiles, countertops, cabinets, etc. We almost didn't go further than this spot and just went with them but we knew we had to get at least a few more quotes. When most people think of renovating, they think of super high costs and a tremendous amount of time, which ends up costing you even more in inconvenience. With CAA that was NOT the case. Let me start with I had 5 companies come out and provide estimates. Lina came out within a day of contacting her, and completed 2 different estimates for me within 3 days. Her quote was spot on our budget and said she could complete all the work in 3 weeks. I kid you not one quote was for $80k and they said would take 3-6 MONTHS (CAA and 3 other quotes were NOWHERE near that cost). Needless to say after comparing all the quotes I decided to go with CAA. Lina and her crew were AMAZING to work with. They went through every detail of my project and accommodated all my changes, as well as inform me of what would not work due to layout and HOA. The design exceeded my expectations and the quality was exceptional! On top of that, my remodel started at the same time the COVID-19 restrictions started.
