She was so sweet and professional at the same time and really made me feel at ease, which was super important because both my now husband and I were novices when it came to photoshoots and I knew we needed someone we'd feel comfortable with. We had our engagement photo session with Erin back in September 2019 and it was perfect! She sent us a detailed guide for preparing for the engagement shoot and suggested the perfect location. During the shoot, she gave us clear directions on posing and made the photoshoot so much fun, which was no easy feat considering that it got pretty windy and cold by the end and I was borderline hangry from not really eating much the whole day since I didn't want to mess to my makeup. Erin sent us our sneak peek gallery the very next day and they were absolutely gorgeous! She also sent us a sweet little surprise in the mail to thank us for the engagement session, which just showed how she goes above and beyond for her couples. I made sure to subscribe to Erin's newsletters and found them very useful since I'd never planned a wedding before. All throughout the whole wedding planning process, Erin checked in with me periodically and was very responsive to my questions. When we had to postpone our wedding due to COVID in 2020, Erin was super sweet and understanding about it and let us postpone without any additional fees. We know that 2020 was a hard year for all wedding vendors, so we wanted to be sure to mention this. On the day of our wedding in 2021, Erin arrived right on time and was very efficient. She got started right away and made our wedding party feel right at ease. My now husband and I didn't really have a plan in mind of where we wanted to have our photos done, so it was really great that Erin took charge and guided us through the whole process. Erin was a total pro and we knew we were in good hands, so we were both fairly calm and relaxed during the day, considering that it was our wedding day. We also want to shout-out to Erin's second shooter, Cindy, who ran around the (very spacious) venue looking for my veil after the ceremony for our photoshoot. I had taken it off after the ceremony and my bridesmaid had taken it back into the venue for safekeeping. We are so thankful she located it because the photos with the veil were stunning! Erin gave us over a hundred sneak peek photos the very next day. Can it even be called a sneak peek at that point? It was an incredibly quick turnaround, especially since the quality was amazing! We loved being able to share the photos with our loved ones, especially since a lot of people were not able to make it, and reliving that beautiful day. We set up an intro call with Nicole to hear how she works and what a typical wedding day looks like. Right away, we loved her energy. Her pricing felt super reasonable too. On the big day, she showed up a little early and just jumped in. She worked the whole thing solo and somehow managed to be totally professional while also super chill and easy to be around. It honestly felt more like a friend helping us out. Within minutes, we knew we'd made the right call. She made us feel calm and totally taken care of, and everything turned out great. It also happened to be 106 degrees that day. She was out there carrying a bunch of cameras, flying a drone (such a fun bonus), and acting like the heat didn't even bother her. The schedule kept shifting a bit, but she rolled with it and made sure we got all the shots we wanted. She had a full list of family combos and stayed on top of it. She even showed us a few sneak peeks during the day, which got us even more excited to see the rest. Nicole brought the best energy. She was fun, kept us grounded, and just felt like someone you'd actually want to hang out with on your wedding day. She also had this great way of catching real moments and emotions without anyone noticing. Some of our favorite photos are little interactions between us or with guests that we totally would've forgotten if she hadn't caught them. She also reminded us to breathe and slow down, and helped us shake off nerves more than once. And the final photos? Stunning. They totally matched the vibe we'd seen in her past work. She sent over a bunch of previews just days after the wedding, right when we were feeling that post-wedding crash. It gave us such a boost. The full gallery came sooner than we expected and was super easy to go through. She gave us a ton of photos, including so many great candids and moments we didn't even realize happened. She was great at giving just the right amount of direction too. She'd check our outfits and give little cues to help us look relaxed, not stiff. Every now and then she'd have us do something goofy, like a silly kiss or a fake dance that felt kind of awkward in the moment. But the photos turned out awesome. She knew exactly what she was doing. We usually try to be balanced in reviews, but honestly? We've got nothing to critique. Nicole crushed it. She showed up solo, nailed it in wild heat, and was just a joy to have around. We loved her.
