I clarified that the loan was simple interest, no penalty for early or pre-payments. My Bad. I'm being charged interest on my regular payment which is OK, but they are also charging interest to a principle payment in the same month. Their system automatically applies a principle payment to the next months payment due and charges interest accordingly. I talked with with an overseas CS person whom I'm not entirely convinced was human... I asked how I can make principle only payments without this happening and was told to send a check noting same. I've been send checks with a note "Principle Payment Only" for months. I'm still being charged interest, over $400 so far. Call # 2 to overseas, human questionable voice. "It's a system issue due the timing of the payment blah blah jump though hoops if you want principle payments to apply to your principle". NO. I don't CARE about your SYSTEM. I'd expected this process to be maybe 20 minutes, not almost an hour. Location is easy to access, fairly new, it's by NAS Fort Worth, lots of military around there. The service we received was decent, but slowed. The cost of the transfer was $5 more than our other banks, but they were the only ones that could do it after 4 pm. We got it done, took a while, but it was completed and we left happy we didn't have to travel around with so much cash in our bag.

Since then, I keep getting the same response. They say they are backed up and have not been able to run a basic credit check. A credit check should take days, not over a month and a half. This delay shows poor organization and lack of urgency. If you are thinking about taking over a lease through GM Financial, think twice. The process is slow, communication is repetitive, and nothing moves forward. I would not recommend going through them for a lease takeover.
